  • the smoking article or semi-finished smoking article 12 enters the reorientation unit 4 with its filter element 13 provided at the downstream end, such that the filter element 13 contacts the stop 22 first. This provides the benefit, that less smoking material is lost from the smoking article or semi-finished smoking article, as the filter element 13 closes the side of the smoking article or semi-finished smoking article 12, which contacts the stop 22.
  • the smoking articles or semi-finished smoking articles 12 enter the reorientation unit 4 with the filter element 13 at their downstream end, they leave the reorientation unit 4 with the filter element 13 at their upstream end.
  • the orientation of the smoking articles or semi-finished smoking articles 12 is changed.
  • the divided streams of smoking articles or semi-finished smoking articles 12 may be joined and further conveyed to a separation means 5, or they may be separately conveyed to two separate separation means 5.

  • the seats 26 are generally v- shaped, and comprise a clamp mechanism in the form of a mechanical holding means 27, which is arranged pivotally around a pivoting axis at the bottom of the seat 26.
  • the holding means 27 is pretensioned in the direction of smoking article or semi-finished smoking article 12. In particular, the holding means 27 is pretensioned by a spring 28.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil permettant de décomposer des articles à fumer (12) ou des articles à fumer semi-finis (12), les articles à fumer (12) ou les articles à fumer semi-finis (12) comprenant une combinaison de sections d'articles à fumer. L'appareil comprend une unité de division (3), l'unité de division (3) étant adaptée pour créer un flux comprenant des articles à fumer (12) ou des articles à fumer semi-finis (12) avec une configuration prédéterminée de sections d'articles à fumer à partir d'un flux d'articles à fumer (12) ou d'articles à fumer semi-finis (12) comprenant une variété de configurations de sections d'articles à fumer. De plus, l'appareil comprend un moyen de traitement supplémentaire pour traiter davantage les flux individuels des articles à fumer (12) ou des articles à fumer semi-finis (12), le moyen de traitement supplémentaire comprenant une unité de réorientation (4), l'unité de réorientation (4) étant adaptée pour changer l'orientation des articles à fumer ou des articles à fumer semi-finis avec une configuration prédéterminée de sections d'articles à fumer, pour la faire passer d'une première orientation à une seconde orientation opposée.
