Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif pour équilibrer globalement les niveaux de charge électrique d'une pluralité de blocs de cellules (B1,B2,B3,B4) dans une batterie. Les blocs sont aptes à être connectés dans un circuit durant une phase de charge pendant laquelle les cellules des blocs connectés accumulent de la charge et durant une phase de décharge pendant laquelle les cellules des blocs connectés restituent la charge sous forme de courant électrique. Le dispositif comporte au moins un commutateur série (SS1,SS2,SS3,SS4) et un commutateur parallèle (PS1,PS2,PS3,PS4). Le commutateur série est apte, lorsqu'il est en position fermée et que le commutateur parallèle est en position ouverte, à connecter dans le circuit un bloc en série avec les autres blocs, de sorte que ledit bloc est connecté pendant les phases de charge et de décharge. Le commutateur parallèle est apte, lorsqu'il est en position fermée et que le commutateur série est en position ouverte, à mettre ledit bloc hors du circuit, de sorte que ledit bloc est déconnecté si des critèresde déconnexion en décharge sont satisfaits durant la phase de décharge ou si des critères de déconnexion en charge sont satisfaits durant la phase de charge, ledit bloc comportant en outre des moyens (M1,M2,M3,M4) pour équilibrer localement les niveaux de charge de ses cellules lorsqu'il est déconnecté.
