Abstract

본 발명은 인삼/홍삼추출물 및 진세노사이드를 유효성분으로 포함하는 황반 변성 질환 지연, 예방 및 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이고, 더욱 상세하게는 눈의 브루크막 기능을 정상화하는 인삼/홍삼추출물 및 진세노사이드를 유효성분으로 포함하는 황반 변성 질환 지연, 예방 및 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 인삼/홍삼추출물 및 진세노사이드를 유효성분으로 포함하는 눈 기능 저하 예방 및 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이고, 더욱 상세하게는 눈의 브루크막 기능을 정상화하는 인삼/홍삼추출물 및 진세노사이드를 유효성분으로 포함하는 눈 기능 저하 예방 및 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 노화로 인한 브루크막의 수송 기능의 퇴행성 변화들은 노인의 시력 장애를 일으키며, 심한 경우 결국 실명으로 이어지는 황반변성(황반 변성; Age related macular degeneration)의 원인이 된다. 본 발명에 의한 조성물은 브루크막에 침착된 물질들을 제거하고, 망막 색소 상피(RPE)에서 세포 반응을 통해 브루크막의 재생을 가능하도록 수송을 개선한다. 이 치료는 나이가 들면서 나타나는 퇴행성으로 눈의 기능이 정지(functional failure)되는 것을 방지, 예방 및 치료를 가능하게 해준다. 브루크막을 통과하는 비타민 A, 필수 메탈(metal)과 항산화 물질들의 수송 저하는 노인 시력 장애의 원인이 되는데, 본 발명에 의한 조성물의 복용만으로도 예방이 가능하다. 본 발명에 의한 조성물은 노화가 진행된 브루크막의 수송을 개선 하며, 일반 노인과 황반 변성 환자들의 시력 저하를 예방할 수 있다. 본 발명에 의한 조성물은 시력 건강을 유지하도록 일반인에게 적용가능하며, 또한 황반 변성 발병 위험이 있는 사람들과 황반 변성 환자들의 병 진행 정도를 지연시키거나 치료하는 효과가 있다. 본 발명에 의한 조성물은 브루크막에 쌓여있는 노폐물을 제거하고, 막의 회복에 필요하지만 막에 결합되어 있어 사용되지 못하던 효소들을 분리하며, RPE를 활성화를 통해 브루크막의 재생 능력을 개선한다.
