本発明は、鋳物工場から発生する廃砂、集塵ダスト等の鋳造廃棄物の処理技術に関するものであり、特に鋳造廃棄物から溶出する重金属・フッ素及びホウ素に代表される環境基準値に規制される有害物質の不溶化処理を行うことにより、その溶出防止を図る技術に関するものである。具体的な有害物質としては、カドミウム、六価クロム、水銀、セレン、鉛、砒素、フッ素、ホウ素等、土壌汚染対策法において土壌環境基準が規定される第2種特定有害物質を挙げることができる。
鋳物工場から排出される廃砂および廃棄集塵ダストは、従来からセメント原料および路盤材原料として再利用されてきた。しかしながら、近年の土壌を含めた環境浄化の規制強化により、重金属・フッ素・ホウ素などの溶出基準値を超えないようにする不溶化処理をする必要が生じてきた。不溶化剤は、多くの種類があるが、その殆どが処理物に対して重量比数パーセント添加して加湿混練する必要がある。
一般的な鋳物工場では、注湯、解枠といったプロセスにあわせて廃棄物が発生し、それぞれ発生する廃棄物性状によって、不溶化剤の種類及び添加量を変更する必要がある。このため、これらの廃棄物を不溶化する為には、廃棄物性状に合わせて複数の不溶化処理設備を設置するか、または単一の処理設備を切り替えて使用する必要があった(特許文献1)。また、複数の廃棄物が混在した状態で不溶化処理を行う場合においては、個別に処理を行う場合と比較して、多量の不溶化剤を添加する必要があり、廃棄物・再生資源の重量が増加する、不溶化剤のコストが高くなる問題があった。
本発明は、鋳物工場から発生する廃砂および廃棄集塵ダスト中に含まれる重金属・フッ素・ホウ素などの有害物質を、混合装置を用いずに、低コストで不溶化処理することができる鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理方法及び鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理システムを提供することを目的とする。
上記の課題を解決するためになされた本発明の鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理方法は、鋳物を製造する鋳造ラインで用いられる鋳型砂中の有害物質を不溶化剤によって不溶化処理するための鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理方法に係る。前記鋳造ラインは、鋳型への注湯後に鋳型ばらしを行う鋳型ばらし工程と、鋳型ばらし工程から排出される鋳型砂の再生処理を行う砂再生工程と、砂再生工程で再生された鋳型砂を未使用の鋳物砂、添加剤等と混練し、鋳型造型に使用する混練物として造型機に供給する混練工程と、を含む鋳型砂を再利用する再利用工程を備えており、前記処理方法は、前記再利用工程で発生したダストを集塵装置に搬送する集塵工程において、前記不溶化剤を添加することを特徴とするものである。
なお請求項2のように、前記集塵工程は、ろ過と逆洗を繰り返し行う工程中で不溶化剤が有害物質を含むダストに付着する不溶化工程を有することが好ましい。また請求項3のように、前記有害物質は、カドミウム、六価クロム、水銀、セレン、鉛、砒素、フッ素、ホウ素等、土壌汚染対策法において土壌環境基準が規定される第2種特定有害物質のうちから選択された少なくとも1つであることが好ましい。また請求項4のように、前記集塵工程は複数の有害物質に対し、1種類または2種類以上の不溶化剤を添加することが好ましい。
また上記の課題を解決するためになされた本発明の鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理システムは、鋳物を製造する鋳造ラインを含み、前記鋳造ラインで用いられる鋳型砂中の有害物質を不溶化処理するための鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理システムに係る。前記鋳造ラインは、鋳型への注湯後に鋳型ばらしを行う鋳型ばらし設備と、鋳型ばらし設備で生じたバラシ砂の再生処理を行う砂再生設備と、砂再生設備で再生された鋳型砂を未使用の鋳物砂、添加剤等と混練し、鋳型造型に使用する混練物として造型機に供給する混練設備と、を備えており、前記処理システムは、前記鋳型ばらし設備、前記砂再生設備、前記混練設備の各設備間の搬送設備、前記砂再生設備および前記混練設備のうち少なくとも1つの設備から発生したダストを集塵装置に搬送する経路に不溶化処理を行うための不溶化剤をダストに添加する不溶化剤添加設備を備えたことを特徴とするものである。
なお請求項6のように、前記集塵装置がバグフィルタ型集塵装置であることが好ましく、請求項7のように、前記バグフィルタ型集塵装置が逆洗機能付きであることが好ましい。さらに請求項8のように、前記集塵装置は複数存在し、複数の有害物質に対し別々の不溶化剤を添加する不溶化添加設備を備えることが好ましい。
本発明によれば、鋳物工場から発生する廃棄集塵ダスト中に含まれるハロゲン・重金属などの有害物質を不溶化処理する工程において、集塵装置内へ廃ダストと付着性がある不溶化剤を連続的に吹き込むことにより、粒子径、かさ比重の異なる不溶化剤と廃ダストを、混練機を用いずに混合することが可能となり、設備の簡素化及びコストダウンの効果が得られる。また、異なるプロセスを吸引する複数の集塵装置に本プロセスで提案した不溶化剤吹きこみ装置をそれぞれ設置することによって、各集塵装置内で最適な不溶化剤が混合された廃ダストに調整することで、各廃ダストをサイロへ一括貯槽した場合における、サイロから廃ダスト排出時の不溶化剤の消費量を低減できるばかりでなく、限りある地球資源を節約できるという効果も得られる。
以下に本発明の実施形態を説明するが、それに先立ち先ず図1から図3により、一般的な鋳造廃棄物の不溶化処理フローを説明する。図1に示すように、従来の不溶化処理フローでは、集塵装置1で捕集されたダストを、定量切り出し装置2、加水式の混練機3(連続式、またはバッチ式)、不溶化剤添加装置4で構成された不溶化処理装置へ投入し、不溶化処理を行う。
鋳型工場の生産プロセスごとに発生する集塵ダストは、物理的性状、化学的性状が異なるのが一般的である。複数ある集塵装置1から発生するダストをダストサイロで貯槽する場合においては、対象ダストは乾燥状態であることが望ましく、図1に示される従来の不溶化剤添加、加水混練処理を行った場合は、サイロに投入するためには、貯槽内棚つり・閉塞防止のため、処理後に対象ダストを適切な含水率まで乾燥するか、湿潤したダストでも貯槽・排出が可能なサイロに更新する必要があり、費用などの理由により、本願発明の方法は採用が困難である。
このような問題により、これら複数種の集塵ダストは個別に不溶化処理を行うことは出来ず、従来のプロセスにおいては、図2に示したダストサイロ5内に一括貯槽し、ダストを排出する時点で不溶化剤を用いた不溶化処理手法を行っている。しかし、ダストサイロ5から切りだされるダストは均質化しておらず、結果、最も不溶化剤を多く必要とするダストの特性に合わせて、不溶化剤の投入量を制御する必要があり、不溶化剤コスト及び不溶化剤添加による廃棄物発生量の増大という問題があった。
なお図3は上記した不溶化処理工程を組み込んだ鋳造ライン全体のフロー図である。新砂と再生砂とは混練(S1)されたうえで造型(S2)されて鋳型となり、金属用溶湯が注湯(S3)される。その後、鋳型ばらし(S4)が行われ、廃砂は砂再生利用工程(S5)に送られる。一方、鋳物は砂付鋳物清掃工程(S6)、表面処理清掃工程(S7)、鋳物清掃工程(S8)を経て付着した砂やバリを除去したうえ、仕上げ(S9)、検査(S10)を経て出荷される。
これらの清掃工程において回収された廃砂は砂再生利用工程(S5)に送られるが、これらの工程で発生するダストは集塵装置1で集塵され、ダストサイロ5へ搬送される。また砂再生工程(S5)において発生するダストも集塵装置1で回収され、ダストサイロ5へ搬送される。そしてダストサイロ5から切りだされるダストに不溶化剤の加湿混練による不溶化処理(S11)が施され、廃棄処理される。
これに対して本発明では、図4に示されるフローのように、集塵装置1の入口部に不溶化剤を連続的に吹き込む吹き込み装置6を設置することによって、集塵装置1の濾布表面に捕集された比重の軽い不溶化剤が、比重の重い集塵ダストの外表面に選択的に付着し、比重の異なる粉体が気流中で重力・比重分離することなく、集塵装置1から排出されるダストに均一に不溶化剤が混合した状態で回収できる。これにより、不溶化剤を混合するための混練機3を用いることなく、不溶化剤と集塵ダストとの混合が可能となる。なお集塵装置1は好ましくはバグフィルタ型集塵装置であり、バグフィルタ型集塵装置は逆洗機能付きであることが好ましい。
また、上記のように集塵装置1ごとに集塵ダスト性状が異なる場合において、本発明では図5に示したように当該集塵装置1に対し、1台または複数台の不溶化剤供給装置7を接続し、不溶化剤を供給する手法により、前記した問題を解決することができる。
本発明ではそれぞれの集塵ダストに対し、適性、適量の不溶化剤の供給を行い、ダストへ不溶化剤を付着させる。その後、各集塵装置で回収された不溶化剤混合済みの集塵ダストは空気輸送、スクリューコンベア、ダスト缶等を用いて、ダストサイロ5で一括貯槽後、適宜ダストは切り出され、再生資源として工場外へ搬出される。
図6は本発明の不溶化処理工程を組み込んだ鋳造ライン全体のフロー図である。従来と同様、未使用の鋳型砂と再生砂とは添加材等と混練設備において混練(S1)され、鋳型造型に使用される混練物として造型機に供給され、造型(S2)されて鋳型となる。この鋳型に金属用溶湯が注湯(S3)されて鋳造が行われる。その後、鋳型ばらし設備において鋳型ばらし(S4)が行われ、廃砂は砂再生設備の砂再生工程(S5)に送られる。一方、鋳物は砂付鋳物清掃工程(S6)、表面処理清掃工程(S7)、鋳物清掃工程(S8)を経て付着した砂やバリを除去したうえ、仕上げ(S9)、検査(S10)を経て出荷される。
これらの清掃工程において回収された廃砂は砂再生利用工程(S5)に送られるが、清掃工程で発生するダストは集塵装置1で集塵される。本発明ではこの集塵装置1に対し不溶化剤Aが供給され、ダストの表面に不溶化剤Aが付着される。また砂再生工程(S5)において発生するダストも集塵装置1で回収されるが、この集塵装置1に対し不溶化剤Bが供給され、ダストの表面に不溶化剤Bが付着される。このように本発明では、集塵工程(S12)において不溶化剤添加設備によって不溶化剤が添加される。これらの集塵装置1において回収された集塵ダストは発塵防止のために必要に応じて加湿混練(S13)され、廃棄処理される。
図7は図6の変形例を示すフロー図であり、各集塵装置1において不溶化剤A、Bを付着させた集塵ダストをダストサイロ5に集めた後、加湿混練(S13)して廃棄処理する点が相違している。その他の工程は図6と同じであるので説明を省略する。
図1から図3に示した従来型のサイロ貯槽後、不溶化処理を行うプロセスでは、ダストサイロから切り出されるダストに対し、最適な不溶化剤を選定することが困難であり、このため高機能な不溶化剤を、安全率を見越して混合、混練する必要があった。これに対して本発明のプロセスでは、各集塵装置1で回収されるダストの性状に合わせて不溶化剤の種類を変更することが可能であり、例えば図4に示すように、鉛の溶出が懸念される集塵ダストには鉛用の不溶化剤を、フッ素の溶出が懸念される集塵ダストにはフッ素用の不溶化剤を事前に混合することで、高価な高機能不溶化剤を使用しなくても良くなる。
また、サイロ貯槽前のダストに不溶化剤を事前に付着させておくことによって、有害物の溶出濃度が高い集塵ダストの混合に起因する廃棄物の溶出量管理値超過を防止することができる。
乾式処理にてサイロ貯槽前に、集塵装置濾布表面にて個々の対象ダストに適性・適量な不溶化剤を付着させる本方式では、サイロ貯槽前に投入ダストを乾燥させる、またはサイロ壁面を加熱する装置は不要であり、現状使用している廃棄物貯槽設備を流用出来る。これらのプロセスにより、不溶化剤の使用量を減らすことが可能であり、不溶化剤コストの低減と、不溶化剤削減分の廃棄物処理費の低減、既設設備の流用による設備投資費の低減が得られる。
次に、本発明において用いる不溶化剤について説明する。この不溶化剤は、比重が集塵ダストと同等またはそれよりも軽い粉体であり、図8に示すように気流によって濾布表面に捕集される。濾布表面に集塵ダストが付着する際に、不溶化剤は集塵ダスト表面に選択的に付着し、その後払い落し操作により不溶化剤が付着した集塵ダストは集塵装置下部にて回収、搬出装置により装置外へ排出される。
不溶化剤は外表面部で不溶化反応を行うため、比表面積を高くする必要がある。このため、平均粒子径が3~10μmの粉体が一般的である。一方、集塵ダストは10~300μmと粒子径が広範囲に分布している。
かさ比重や粒子径が異なる乾燥した粉体の混合においては、気流や重力により分級されてしまうため加湿混練等の飛散を防止した混練方法を用いるのが一般的である。しかしながら、本発明のプロセスでは、集塵ダストに含まれるベントナイト由来の粘土分が持つ水分と、不溶化剤の成分である酸化マグネシウムや酸化カルシウムが水分と反応して水酸化物に変化する特性により、加湿混練を行わなくても、ダスト表面に不溶化剤を付着、保持することが出来る。
濾布表面での接触により、不溶化剤がダスト外表面に付着した状態を図9の写真に示す。粒子径の小さい不溶化剤が粒子径の大きいダストの表面に付着していることがわかる。
上記の2つの性質から、集塵装置内へ不溶化剤を吹き込むことで、混練装置を用いずに、集塵ダストに不溶化剤を混合することができる。

表1に鋳造工場から発生する廃棄物性状例を示した。図3に示される従来型の不溶化処理による結果を表2に示し、図4に示される本発明の不溶化処理を行った例を表3に示した。表2の試験では、サイロから切り出される廃棄物の性状が不安定であり、不溶化の必要がないダストが切り出されている状態においても、常に鉛及びフッ素用の不溶化剤を添加、混合する必要があった。一方、表3のプロセスでは、表2のプロセスと比較して、少ない不溶化剤添加量で同等の場外搬出時性状とすることが可能であった。
なお、表2の従来型不溶化処理において添加した不溶化剤重量は1925kg-1750kg=175kgであった。一方、表3では、1825kg-1750kg=75kgであり、サイロ混合前に不溶化剤を混合させた本プロセスは、従来型のプロセスと比較して不溶化剤の使用量を1/2以下にすることが出来た。これにより、不溶化剤使用量を低減する効果が実証された。

Claims (8)
- 鋳物を製造する鋳造ラインで用いられる鋳型砂中の有害物質を不溶化剤によって不溶化処理するための鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理方法であって、
前記鋳造ラインは、
鋳型への注湯後に鋳型ばらしを行う鋳型ばらし工程と、
鋳型ばらし工程から排出される鋳型砂の再生処理を行う砂再生工程と、
砂再生工程で再生された鋳型砂を未使用の鋳物砂、添加剤等と混練し、鋳型造型に使用する混練物として造型機に供給する混練工程と、を含む鋳型砂を再利用する再利用工程を備え、
前記再利用工程で発生したダストを集塵装置に搬送する集塵工程において、前記不溶化剤を添加することを特徴とする鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理方法。 - 前記集塵工程は、ろ過と逆洗を繰り返し行う工程中で不溶化剤が有害物質を含むダストに付着する不溶化工程を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理方法。
- 前記有害物質は、カドミウム、六価クロム、水銀、セレン、鉛、砒素、フッ素、ホウ素等、土壌汚染対策法において土壌環境基準が規定される第2種特定有害物質のうちから選択された少なくとも1つであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理方法。
- 前記集塵工程は複数の有害物質に対し、1種類または2種類以上の不溶化剤を添加することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理方法。
- 鋳物を製造する鋳造ラインを含み、前記鋳造ラインで用いられる鋳型砂中の有害物質を不溶化処理するための鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理システムであって、
前記鋳造ラインは、
鋳型への注湯後に鋳型ばらしを行う鋳型ばらし設備と、
鋳型ばらし設備で生じたバラシ砂の再生処理を行う砂再生設備と、
砂再生設備で再生された鋳型砂を未使用の鋳物砂、添加剤等と混練し、鋳型造型に使用する混練物として造型機に供給する混練設備と、を備え、
前記鋳型ばらし設備、前記砂再生設備、前記混練設備の各設備間の搬送設備、前記砂再生設備および前記混練設備のうち少なくとも1つの設備から発生したダストを集塵装置に搬送する経路に不溶化処理を行うための不溶化剤をダストに添加する不溶化剤添加設備を備えたことを特徴とする鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理システム。 - 前記集塵装置がバグフィルタ型集塵装置であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理システム。
- 前記バグフィルタ型集塵装置が逆洗機能付きであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理システム。
- 前記集塵装置は複数存在し、複数の有害物質に対し別々の不溶化剤を添加する不溶化添加設備を備えたことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の鋳型砂中の有害物質の処理システム。
