Combustion chamber for a gas turbine system The invention relates to a combustor for a gas turbine plant according to the preamble of claim 1 and an ent ¬ speaking formed gas turbine plant according to claim. 6
Gas turbine plants essentially consist of a compressor, a combustion chamber with burner and an expansion turbine. Intake air is compressed in the compressor before it is mixed with fuel in the combustion chamber, which is arranged downstream of the burner and arranged in the compressor plenum, and this mixture is burned. The expansion turbine connected downstream of the combustion chamber then extracts thermal energy from the combustion exhaust gases produced in the burner and converts them into mechanical energy. A with for drinks ¬ cycle turbine couplable generator may convert this mechanical power to generate electricity in electrical energy.
US Today, gas turbine plants, like other power generating plants, must have the lowest possible pollutant emissions with maximum efficiency in all load ranges. Main factors are, the agent set in the combustion chamber of the burner mass flows of the fuel, the compaction ¬ ended air and the cooling air supplied for cooling the burner components. The limitation of pollutant emissions, in particular of NOx and unburned fuel usually in the form of CO, but can lead to a minimization of cooling or leakage air amount in the combustion chamber and thus to acoustically ¬ damping damping parasitic currents. In addition, under the constraint of limiting emissions, as a rule, increasing the efficiency also increases the volumetric heat release density in the combustion chamber. Together, that is, reducing the acoustic damping and increasing the heat release density in the combustion chamber, leads to an increased risk that thermoacoustically induced vibrations deploy. However, such thermoacoustic oscillations in the combustion chamber pose a problem in the design and especially in the operation of gas turbine plants. To reduce such thermoacoustic oscillations, Helmholtz resonators consisting of at least one resonator tube and one resonator volume are used today for damping purposes. Such Helmholtz resonators attenuate the amplitude of oscillations with the Helmholtz frequency as a function of the cross-sectional area and length of the resonator tube and of the resonator volume in certain frequency ranges. Helmholtz resonators as damping devices for limiting thermoacoustic oscillations in combustion chambers are known, for example, from EP 1 605 209 A1 or US Pat
1 shows, for example, from US 2007/0125089 AI ¬ be known array of Helmholtz resonators 20 on a ring of the combustion chamber 10 transverse to the flow direction. The combustion chamber wall 10 is tubular and separates the combustion chamber 1 from the surrounding compressor plenum 2. The openings 22 in the combustion chamber wall 10 between the resonator volume 21 and the combustion chamber 1 form the resonator tubes of the Helmholtz resonators. Each Helmholtz resonator can - as shown in FIG 1 - have a plurality of resonator tubes or even a single Resonatorröhe. Since ¬ comes with it at any entry of the hot combustion gases from the combustion chamber 1 into the Helmholtz resonators 20, additional openings for the supply of barrier air are provided. In the example shown in FIG 1 embodiment, these are arranged to ¬-openings 23 on the resonator tubes 22 opposite wall of the resonator 21st These openings 23 make it possible for compressed air S to flow from the compressor plenum 2 surrounding the combustion chamber into the resonator volume 21 and from there via the resonator tubes 22 into the combustion chamber 1, thereby blocking the penetration of hot combustion gases into the resonator tubes 22. Helmholtz resonators with SperrluftZuführungen over the solid but have the disadvantage that the sealing air flows through the resonator tubes into the combustion chamber and thus affects the air-fuel mixture present there. It is precisely in known configurations in which the resonator tubes are positioned in the combustion chamber wall such that on which the resonator tubes open at the place in the combustion chamber, the Resonatorröhrenachse comes in the surface normal of the internal comb ¬ channel wall to lie, blocking air is supplied with a maxima len Penetration depth introduced into the combustion chamber of the combustion chamber. However, especially in the low load range of the gas turbine plant, this maximum crossflow relative to the internal combustion chamber flow can lead to a partial extinction of the combustion and thus an increase in the CO emission of pollutants.
The object of the invention is to provide a combustion chamber bereitzustel ¬ len, which overcomes the disadvantages described above. This object is achieved with the combustion chamber having the features of claim 1.
Characterized that at least according to the preamble of claim 1 of ¬ formed combustion chamber with at least one Helmholtz resonator has a resonator, which is arranged so that it lies at the location of their Resonatorröhrenmündung into the combustion chamber with its Resonatorröhrenachse outside a surface normal of the combustion chamber inner wall, reduces the maximum penetration depth of the sealing air into the combustion chamber of the combustion chamber, and more so the farther the resonator tube axis is inclined relative to the surface normal. As a result, the combustion in the combustion chamber is less strongly influenced, so that an increase of the pollutant emission ¬ , in particular the increased CO emission at partial load of the gas turbine plant can be largely avoided.
At the same time increasing with the angle of inclination by the injected sealing air to the combustion chamber inner wall an area formed with a film cooling. Since the air flowing in from the compressor plenum via the Helmholtz resonator is colder than the combustion gases in the combustion chamber, an improved cooling capacity of the combustion chamber wall can thus be achieved. At larger angles of inclination, in particular with tilt angles of about 45 degrees or more between the surface normal of the inside of the combustion chamber wall and Resonatorröhrenachse in the downstream direction a signi ¬ fikanter part of the inflowing through the resonator tube
Blocking air entrained by the flow in the interior of the combustion chamber and flows downstream over a larger area cooling close to the wall along the combustion chamber inner wall, before the sealing air is more and more mixed with the combustion gases and thus assumes the same temperature as the combustion gases. In addition, as the angle of inclination increases, the resonator tubes become increasingly longer, which results in ever better convection cooling of the combustion chamber wall.
It is essential for all combustion chamber designs to make in the combustion chamber, mixing zone of cool ¬ ren sealing air with the hot mass flows so that a partial Verlöschung of combustion is sup- pressed by the cooler air purge especially in the low-load range, but without the damping properties of the
To influence Helmholtz resonators. Equipped with such combustors gas turbine plants can thus have the lowest possible pollutant emissions at maximum efficiency in all load ranges.
So
The invention is not restricted to the fact that the inclination of the resonator tubes takes place exclusively in the flow direction of the combustion exhaust gases. Rather, without further limitation of the present invention, embodiments are conceivable in which the resonator tubes have an inclination relative to the surface normal of the combustion chamber inner wall, which inclination is composed both of an inclination component in the flow direction and an inclination component transverse thereto. So The resonator tubes can be optimally adapted to the local conditions of the internal combustion chamber flow.
The invention will now be explained by way of example with reference to the following figures. 1 schematically shows a damping device known from the prior art,
schematisch eine erste erfindungsgemäße Ausführung einer Dämpfungseinrichtung, schematically a first embodiment of a damping device according to the invention,
schematisch eine zweite erfindungsgemäße Ausführung einer Dämpfungseinrichtung. schematically a second embodiment of a damping device according to the invention.
The inventive concept for injecting sealing air S into the combustion chamber of the combustion chamber 1 of a gas turbine plant will be described below by way of example with reference to a torch based on a tubular combustion chamber in which the damping device 20 is essentially adapted on the outside of the combustion chamber wall 10. However, the invention is equally suitable for use in burners in which the damping device 20 is fully integrated in the burner chamber wall 10, or in any other embodiment in which a supply of sealing air S via the damping device 20.
In FIG 2 dargestellt ist ein Teilausschnitt einer Brennkammer 1 längs der Strömungsrichtung der Verbrennungsgase G, mit ei¬ ner Sperrluftführung, bei der im Gegensatz zum Stand der Technik die Sperrluft S in einem Winkel größer Null Grad (hier ca. 45 Grad) relativ zur Oberflächennormalen N der2 shows a partial section of a combustion chamber 1 along the flow direction of the combustion gases G, with egg ¬ ner purge air, in which, in contrast to the prior art, the sealing air S at an angle greater than zero degrees (here about 45 degrees) relative to the surface normal N the
Internal combustion chamber wall of the combustion chamber 10 is guided into the combustion chamber 1. Thus, the penetration depth of the barrier ¬ air S can be significantly reduced in the combustion chamber 1 and also the mixing zone of the barrier air S is supplied with the combustion gases G axially equalized. As a result, the area of the internal combustion chamber flow, which is mixed with cooler sealing air is reduced, which leads to a significant overall reduction in pollutant emissions. At the same time formed by the near-surface flow guidance on the combustion chamber inner wall, a region B, in which no significant mixture between cooler sealing air S and the combustion gases G has taken place, so that also the film cooling properties of the injected sealing air S can be improved, whereby the thermal load of the combustion chamber walls reduced leaves.
Since the damping properties of the Helmholtz resonators can differ from those of the Helmholtz resonators with vertical injection known from the prior art by the oblique arrangement of the resonator tubes with otherwise the same resonator volume and kept constant number of resonator tubes, is usually an adaptation of the Dämpfungseigen- create the resonator parameters required. This can e.g. by changing the number of resonator tubes 22 'and / or the feed openings 23 and / or their diameter or by changing the resonator volume 21. In the event that an association with several Helmholtz
Resonators consisting of resonators with different Helmholtz frequencies and thus different damping characteristics is used, it is advisable to form subsets with Helmholtz resonators of different types. Shown in FIG. 3 is the case that Helmholtz resonators of different types are arranged at different axial positions of the combustion chamber. The variant shown here aims lichst a portion of the seal air S mög ¬ upstream, that is to inject release towards the zone of heat (resonator type 1) and a portion of the seal air S downstream possible to inject (resonator type 2). For this purpose, the Helmholtz resonators of the type 1 arranged on a first ring around the tubular combustion chamber have resonator tubes 22 '' whose axis A is inclined at an angle in the direction upstream of the surface normal N of the combustion chamber inner wall, and the Helmholtz resonators arranged in a second ring. Resonators of type 2 have resonator tubes 22 'whose axes A are inclined at an angle in direction direction downstream of the surface normal N are inclined. Since it can be through a ring with type 2 Resonato ren as close as possible wall flow for enhanced Filmküh development B and at the same time with the ring with type 1 Reso nators achieve a further overlaying film cooling B ', which lead to a reduction in total purge air can. The invention is not restricted only to those in FIG 2 is ¬ Asked embodiment. On the contrary, embodiments should also be included, which consist for example only of type 1 or type 2 resonators, or also of resonator types with different angles of inclination. It is equally conceivable that a ring wall already over the circumference of the combustion chamber has different types of resonators so as to achieve an opti ¬ male adaptation to the local conditions of the internal combustion chamber flow.
