Definitions
- the invention relates to dispensing members of fluid products, for example care products, toiletries or makeup.
- Document FR-2 838 070 discloses a product receptacle provided with a dispensing member comprising a push button whose action causes a slide to retract to open an orifice of a dispensing nozzle of the product.
- composition of toiletries, care or makeup is increasingly complex so that their properties and behavior require constantly to design new distribution devices.
- the invention aims to provide a new fluid dispenser member.
- a dispenser member of a fluid product which comprises:
- At least one magnet adapted to move the shutter relative to the nozzle.
- the presence of the magnet or magnets makes it possible to greatly simplify the mechanism, in particular by reducing the number of parts that compose it, which also facilitates its assembly.
- the displacement of the shutter by magnetic interaction does not require in effect direct contact between all parts.
- the mechanism can be configured to have a very low dead volume and a moderate cost.
- the magnet or one of the magnets is able to move the shutter in the direction opposite to the nozzle.
- the magnet or one of the magnets is able to move the shutter in the direction of the nozzle.
- the organ comprises:
- a first magnet able to move the shutter in a direction opposite to the nozzle
- a magnetic interaction is implemented both for opening the nozzle and for closing it. It is therefore possible to dispense with providing a return spring displacing the shutter in one of the two directions. And the mechanism can have a particularly small number of parts.
- the magnet or at least one of the magnets is movably mounted relative to the shutter.
- the magnet or at least one of the magnets is rigidly fixed to the shutter.
- the organ comprises:
- a magnet carrier mounted movable relative to the nozzle and to the shutter
- the shutter comprises a piston arranged so that a product pressure at a supply port of the member tends to move the shutter in a direction opposite to the nozzle.
- This arrangement also makes it possible to accelerate the displacement of the shutter.
- the nozzle and the shutter have mutual contact faces inclined relative to a direction of movement of the shutter relative to the nozzle.
- Such faces make it possible to form a small contact area between the shutter and the nozzle and thus reduce the risk of the shutter sticking to the nozzle via the product that may be interposed between them.
- the member has a product outlet duct, the duct comprising reliefs for guiding the shutter.
- a receptacle such as a bottle, which comprises a member according to the invention.
- An article that includes such a receptacle and a product of at least one of the following types:
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a dispensing member according to the invention.
- FIG. 2 is a perspective view in section along the plane ll-ll of a receptacle comprising the member of Figure 1;
- FIG. 3 and 4 show in the same sectional plane the member of Figure 1 with the nozzle respectively in closed and open positions, the rest of the receptacle being shown in a simplified manner;
- FIG. 5 is a partial sectional view along the plane V-V of the body of Figure 1;
- FIGS. 1 to 5 show a member 2 for dispensing a viscous fluid product 10 and its pump 4.
- the member 2 with its pump is intended to be part of a receptacle such as a bottle 6 comprising a reservoir 8 of the product.
- the pump body 4 comprises a lower inlet duct 13 whose lower end extends in the lower part of the tank so as to dive into the product 10.
- the member 2 is mounted in the upper part of the reservoir which it closes and is associated with a decorative hoop 11.
- the member 2 comprises a push button 16 forming the top of the member, which emerges from the band 11 and whose base enters the top of the latter.
- the push-button 16, illustrated in particular in FIGS. 6 and 7, has an upper face 18, in this case disc-shaped, and a cylindrical lateral face 19 with a circular section in a plane perpendicular to the axis 14.
- the button 16 is slidably mounted relative to the tank 8 along the axis 14.
- the pump of a type known in itself and which is not detailed here, comprises the pump body 4 and a pump seat 20 rigidly connecting the pump body to the tank.
- the body comprises an upper outlet or discharge duct 22 which emerges from the top of the body and which is parallel to the axis 14, as does the lower duct 13.
- the upper duct 22 is rigidly fixed to a sleeve 24 of the pushbutton and slidably mounted relative to the pump body along the axis 14. In this way, when the user presses on the face 18, it lowers the button 16 and, in one block with the latter, the conduit 22, with respect to the reservoir and the hoop, which pumps product 10 from the conduit 13 into the body 4 and then into the outlet conduit 22 and into the knob 16 inside the sleeve 24.
- the band 11 has four outer faces 12 which follow one another around a main axis 14 of the body.
- the hoop In section in a plane perpendicular to this axis, the hoop has a generally rectangular shape, the dimensions of the rectangle narrowing as one traverses the hoop from its base to its top. Other forms of hoop may also be suitable.
- the button 16 has a transverse housing 26 perpendicular to the axis 14 and intercepting the latter.
- the inner conduit of the sleeve 24 opens at its upper end into the housing 26.
- the housing has an outer end 31 opening into the side face 19, in this case at a relief 28 projecting from the latter.
- the end 31 forms a dispensing nozzle of the product.
- the housing 26 receives an internal shutter 30, or needle, slidably mounted in the housing in the direction of the latter relative to the push button.
- the shutter 30, illustrated in particular in Figure 8 has a generally symmetrical shape of revolution about its longitudinal axis. It has a front portion 32 and a rear portion 34 of larger diameter than the front portion.
- the front portion 32 extends into a front portion of the housing 26 which forms a product delivery conduit.
- This portion of the duct has a generally cylindrical shape with circular section in a plane perpendicular to its axis. It has reliefs 36 formed in this case by rectilinear elongated ribs projecting radially from the cylindrical face and in the direction of sliding.
- the ribs 36 are spaced from each other and evenly distributed around the axis of the duct. They are in this case number of three, this number not being limiting.
- the flat top of each rib is in contact with the front portion 32 of the shutter so that the latter is slidably guided at the front portion of the housing 26 by the three ribs bearing on them.
- the ribs form, between themselves and around the front portion 32 of the shutter, channels for the flow of the product in the front portion of the housing and up to the nozzle 31.
- the inner face of the latter has a chamfered or frustoconical section.
- the shutter 30 has a frustoconical complementary shape face for which the aforementioned end of the housing forms a seat. These two surfaces thus come into surface abutment against each other when the shutter 30 closes the nozzle 31 as illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3.
- the sealing of the bottle is then carried out with respect to the product 10. It is is the advanced position of the shutter or closed position.
- the shutter occupies a retracted position or open position in which its front end extends away from the nozzle 31 as shown in Figure 4 and thus allows the product to exit the nozzle.
- the rear portion 34 of the shutter extends on the side of the axis 14 located opposite the nozzle 31 and this, regardless of the position of the shutter in the housing.
- the housing 26 is devoid of relief so that the cylindrical face of the portion 34 makes a sealed surface contact with the cylindrical face of the rear portion of the housing.
- the shutter 30 has a shoulder 40 at the junction between its front portions 32 and rear 34 which, due to the position occupied by the shutter, may be subjected to the discharge pressure of the pump. Under the effect of this pressure, the portion 34 thus forms a piston which slides in the cylinder formed by the rear portion of the housing. Given this arrangement, the pressure of the pump transmitted by the product, when it appears, tends to retract the shutter to open the nozzle and when the user presses the button 16.
- the shutter 30 carries at its rear end a magnet 42.
- This magnet has, in this case, the shape of a disk and is rigidly fixed coaxially to the body of the shutter to respect its symmetry of revolution.
- the member 2 comprises a magnet carrier 44 carrying in this example an upper magnet 46 and a lower magnet 48 located below the previous.
- the two magnets are rigidly fixed to the magnet carrier, on the side of the latter directed towards the shutter 30.
- the magnet 42 can be attached to the shutter 30 and for example glued to this last or overmolded with the plastic material of the shutter. It is the same for the magnets 46 and 48 of the magnet holder 44 received in cavities 47 of the latter.
- the member comprises a cover 50 rigidly attached to a rear portion of the button 16 started for this purpose.
- the button 16 here has two reliefs 54 with a dovetail profile projecting from a flat rear face 56 of the button.
- the cover 50 has a flat front face 58 started by two grooves 60 profiled also in dovetail shape complementary to that of the reliefs 54 they receive.
- This assembly makes it possible to rigidly fix the cover to the button by sliding it parallel to the axis 14 until it abuts axially against the top of the button 16.
- the cover has a housing 52 extending in a direction parallel to the 14 axis and in which is received the magnet carrier.
- the stroke of the pushbutton along the axis 14 relative to the pump seat 20 is limited at its two ends by two stops not shown and which are for example in the pump body 4 because they already limit the stroke of the duct 22 to which the button is rigidly fixed.
- the member 2 comprises a return spring 62 whose helix has an axis parallel to the axis 14.
- the spring has an upper end in axial abutment against the lower face of the cover 50 and a lower end in axial abutment against a shoulder lower 64 formed on the magnet carrier.
- the spring holds the magnet holder in abutment against the pump seat 20. It is observed here that this spring is independent and distinct from a spring 21 provided in the pump for the operation of the latter and tends to push upwards. the conduit 22 relative to the rest of the pump body 4.
- the magnet carrier 44 is thus stationary relative to the pump seat 20, and the push-button 16 with the cover 50 is slidably movable relative to the magnet carrier in a direction parallel to the axis 14.
- the upper magnet 46 is arranged and positioned so that it tends by magnetic interaction to push the magnet 42 of the shutter when these two magnets are coaxial as in the closed position of the nozzle illustrated in Figures 2 and 3. L Thus, the magnet holds the shutter in abutment with the nozzle seat and the latter in the closed position.
- the lower magnet 48 is arranged and positioned so that it tends to attract the magnet 42 of the shutter when it is placed coaxially with the latter as is the case in FIG. It then causes the opening of the nozzle and its holding in the open position.
- the band 11 has four outer faces 12 which follow one another around a main axis 14 of the body. In section in a plane perpendicular to this axis, the hoop has a generally rectangular shape, the dimensions of the rectangle narrowing as one traverses the hoop from its base to its top. Other forms of hoop may also be suitable.
- the functioning of the organ is as follows.
- the member At rest, the member extends in the configuration illustrated in Figures 2 and 3 in which the nozzle 31 is closed by the shutter 30 under the effect of the magnets 42 and 46 which extend coaxially and are separated only by a wall of the cover 50.
- the button 16 occupies its high position. It is maintained in this position in this case by the spring 21 of the pump and incidentally by the spring 62.
- the magnet 42 descends relative to the magnets 46 and 48. It therefore ceases to extend coaxially to the upper magnet 46 and passes in alignment with the lower magnet 48 to then undergo the magnetic attraction, through the wall of the cache 50.
- this movement of the button pushes the product into the sleeve 24 in which the product pressure tends to increase.
- This pressure is exerted on the piston 34 against the magnetic repulsion force by means of which the upper magnet 46 pushes the magnet 42 and thus the shutter.
- the length of the stroke of the button is greater than the distance between the magnets 46 and 48.
- the shutter goes lower than the magnet 48 so that the opening of the nozzle takes place before the end of the descent of the button to allow a good distribution of the product.
- the push button rises under the effect of the recall of the springs 21 and 62.
- the shutter then returns to the height of the upper magnet 46 and undergoes the repulsion of the latter.
- the shutter then slides to close the nozzle 31.
- the magnet holder 44 is mounted in the cover 50 in being slidably guided in an upper part of the duct 52 by two lateral recesses 70 traversed by two reliefs 72 of the top of the magnet carrier.
- its top is introduced through the lower end of the conduit 52 by forcing the passage of reliefs 72 which rub against a narrow lower portion of the conduit, until they reach the clearances 70 in which they can slide without substantial friction.
- the lower shoulder 64 of the magnet carrier further limits its upward movement relative to the cache beyond a predetermined stroke. The magnet carrier is thus held prisoner in the cache.
- the assembly of the organ takes place here as follows.
- the shutter 30 equipped with its magnet 42 is inserted in the housing 26 of the push button by the rear end of this housing.
- the magnet carrier being lined with magnets 46 and 48, the spring 62 is installed on the magnet carrier and the latter in the cover 50 as indicated above.
- the cache 50 is put on the reliefs 54 of the button 16, which encloses the shutter in the housing 26.
- the pump is mounted on the bottle as well as the collar 11.
- the assembly is snapped onto the neck of the bottle, the band then locks the assembly of the pump on the neck.
- the push button 16 is mounted with its shutter 30 and the magnets on the upper conduit 22 of the pump.
- the push button could be preassembled to the pump before mounting on the bottle.
- magnets 42, 46 and 48 it is possible to use, for example, the magnets marketed by Supermagnete under the references S-02-01-N and S-03-01 -N. These magnets have a disc shape, a height of 2 millimeters and respective diameters of 2 and 3 millimeters. They exhibit an N48 magnetization for adhesion strength of 130 and 210 grams, respectively. Other magnets may be suitable.
- this mechanism is particularly simple and comprises a small number of parts.
- the only moving parts relative to each other in operation are the pushbutton 16, the shutter 30, the magnet holder 44 and the spring 62 and are here four in number. Based on the magnetic interaction exerted by one or more magnets, the member allows to dispense with lever and ramp, and avoids causing the displacement of the shutter only by pressure of product or air.
- the dead volume occupied by the product downstream of the pump and upstream of the nozzle is reduced to the sleeve 24 and to the front portion of the housing 26 not occupied by the shutter. It is therefore particularly reduced. And there is no significant area of stagnation of the product.
- This mechanism allows to actuate the pump from the beginning of the descent of the push button. There is therefore no dead race in this respect.
- the gesture of the user has therefore a better efficiency and a better performance.
- the product moreover, follows a short path between its exit from the pump and its distribution by the nozzle 31.
- the shape of the nozzle 31 and the arrangement of the mechanism in particular avoid the problems of drying the product at the nozzle, its deviation or projection during its distribution or the presence of bumps in the dispensed product.
- all the components of the dispensing member can be made of plastic by injection.
- the product 10 may be a makeup, toilet or care product. It can be a cream or an emulsion. It can be used for the face or body. It can be more or less viscous, even pasty.
- the magnet carrier carries only a magnet 46 able to push the shutter magnet to place last in the closed position.
- a return spring that can bear on the push button and on the shutter is used to move the shutter towards its open position when the magnet 42 is no longer subjected to the repulsion of the magnet. 46.
- the magnet carrier carries only the magnet 48 capable of attracting the magnet of the shutter for opening the nozzle, by associating with the latter a return spring displacing the shutter for closing the nozzle when no longer subject to the attraction of the magnet.
- the magnets may be given diameters other than those indicated above, or may be given an oval, rectangular or square shape.
- the housing 26 can be arranged like a cylindrical housing of revolution which opens at the front face of the push button 16.
- the shutter is introduced from the front face of the push button and then an insert is introduced which includes the ribs guide 36 of the shutter and the nozzle 31 for dispensing the product.
- the shutter is then guided in the same way as described above.
- This mode of construction allows to build the shutter with a cache made in one piece with the rest of the push button.
