Abstract

본 발명은 이차 전지에 포함된 전극 탭과 전극 리드의 용접 강도를 향상시키는 초음파 용접 장치 및 이 초음파 용접 장치에 의해 초음파 용접되어 용접 부위의 강도가 개선된 이차 전지를 개시한다. 본 발명에 따른 이차 전치는, 양극 탭이 구비된 양극판, 음극 탭이 구비된 음극판 및 분리막이 교호 적층되는 전극 조립체; 상기 전극 조립체를 수용하는 파우치 외장재; 상기 양극 탭과 용접되어 전기적으로 접합되는 양극 리드; 및 상기 음극 탭과 용접되어 전기적으로 접합되는 음극 리드;를 포함하고, 상기 음극 리드와 상기 음극 탭의 용접 접합면에 형성된 용접 포인트의 밀도가 상기 양극 리드와 상기 양극 탭의 용접 접합면에 형성된 용접 포인트 밀도보다 더 높은 것을 특징으로 한다.
