クリーンエネルギーに対する期待の高まりに応じて、発電効率の向上を目指して種々の形状をした太陽電池(光発電システム)が提案されている。最も広く普及しているのは、太陽光に対して平面状の受光面を備えるものである。このような平面状の受光面に対して、受光面を円筒状(円柱状)に配置して発電コストを改善したものが提案されている(例えば、特許文献1、特許文献2参照。)。

また、本発明は、本発明に係る光発電モジュールを適用して採光を実現できる採光設備を提供することを他の目的とする。
本発明に係る光発電モジュールは、棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュールであって、前記外形を形成する本体部と、前記本体部の内側に形成された光起電力素子と、前記本体部の両端に形成され前記光起電力素子が発電した電力を出力する出力端とを備え、前記本体部は、透光性合成樹脂膜で被覆されていることを特徴とする。
この構成により、本発明に係る光発電モジュールは、外形が棒状の本体部を透光性合成樹脂膜で被覆されていることから、例えば本体部がガラス管のように破損の虞がある部材で形成され、仮に破損した場合であってもガラス管に被覆された透光性合成樹脂膜がガラス片の散乱を抑制して、安全性を確保することができる。
本発明に係る光発電システムは、棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュールを複数備えた光発電システムであって、複数の前記光発電モジュールが相互に離れて面状に並べられた第1光発電モジュール群と、前記第1光発電モジュール群を保持する第1保持部とを備え、前記光発電モジュールは、本発明に係る光発電モジュールであることを特徴とする。
この構成により、本発明に係る光発電システムは、本発明に係る光発電モジュールを相互に離して面状に配置する第1光発電モジュール群と、第1光発電モジュール群を保持する第1保持部とを備えることから、安全性が高く、効率的な光発電を実現することができる。
本発明に係る採光設備は、棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュールを備えた採光設備であって、前記光発電モジュールを複数備えた光発電システムと、前記光発電システムを支持する支持部とを備え、前記光発電システムは、本発明に係る光発電システムであることを特徴とする。
この構成により、本発明に係る採光設備は、光発電と採光とを併せて実現することから、光発電をしつつ採光を行うので、光発電モジュールの用途を拡大することができる。
本発明に係る光発電モジュールによれば、例えば本体部がガラス管のように破損の虞がある部材で形成され、仮に破損した場合であってもガラス管に被覆された透光性合成樹脂膜がガラス片の散乱を抑制して、安全性を確保することができるという効果を奏する。
また、本発明に係る光発電システムによれば、安全性が高く、効率的な光発電を実現することができる。
さらに、本発明に係る採光設備によれば、光発電と採光とを併せて実現することから、光発電をしつつ採光を行うので、光発電モジュールの用途を拡大することができる。
以下、本発明の実施の形態について図面を参照して説明する。
<実施の形態1>

本実施の形態に係る光発電モジュール12(本体部13)は、外形を棒状とされ、棒状の外形の内部に光起電力素子(例えば太陽電池素子)が形成されている。つまり、光発電モジュール12は、本体部13と、本体部13の長さ方向の端に導出された出力端14とを備える。出力端14は、外側電極13fに対応する側の出力端14fと、内側電極13sに対応する側の出力端14sとを備える。
本体部13は、照射光LS(図2B、図3B参照)を外側から内部へ透過させるために透光性を持たせてあり、例えば円筒状のガラス管で形成されている。本体部13は、強度を確保するため、また、照射光LSがどのような方向から照射されても、十分に照射光が棒状の内部へ均等に照射されるようにするために円筒状であることが好ましい。円筒の直径(外周)は、例えば、20mm~40mm程度であり、長さは、例えば1000mm程度とすることができる。円筒の肉厚は、強度を確保するために適宜の値とされ、例えば1mm程度とすることができる。
光発電モジュール12は、本体部13を構成するガラス管13g、ガラス管13gの内側に配置された外側電極13f、外側電極13fの内側に配置された光電変換層13c(光発電層)、光電変換層13cの内側に配置された内側電極13sを備え、外側電極13f、光電変換層13c、内側電極13sが光起電力素子を構成する。
また、本体部13は、透光性合成樹脂膜13pで被覆されている。したがって、本体部13(ガラス管13g)の強度を補強することが可能となり、破損した場合にガラス管13gがガラス片となって散乱することを抑制することができる。
透光性合成樹脂膜13pは、ガラス管13gの全周に渡って被覆されていることが好ましい。全周に渡って形成された透光性合成樹脂膜13pは、確実にガラス管13gを保護することができる。なお、透光性合成樹脂膜13pは、少なくとも、大地側の半周部分に沿って形成されていること(図1B)が好ましい。大地側の半周部分に配置されることによって、落下などに対して一定の効果を奏することができる。
本体部13は、ガラス管に限らず透光性を有する他の素材であっても良く、例えば、アクリル樹脂などのプラスチック、セラミックなどを適用しても良い。本体部13を特にガラス管13gとした場合は、透光性合成樹脂膜13pが被覆されることが好ましい。
上述したとおり、本実施の形態に係る光発電モジュール12は、棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュール12であって、外形を形成する本体部13(例えばガラス管13g)と、本体部13の内側に形成された光起電力素子(外側電極13f、光電変換層13c、内側電極13s)と、本体部13の両端に形成され光起電力素子が発電した電力を出力する出力端14とを備え、本体部13は、透光性合成樹脂膜13pで被覆されている。
したがって、本実施の形態に係る光発電モジュール12は、外形が棒状の本体部13を透光性合成樹脂膜13pで被覆されていることから、例えば本体部13がガラス管13gのように破損の虞がある部材で形成され、仮に破損した場合であってもガラス管13gに被覆された透光性合成樹脂膜13pがガラス片の散乱を抑制して、安全性を確保することができる。
透光性合成樹脂膜13pを形成するときの合成樹脂膜として具体的には、フッ素系樹脂フィルムが好ましい。その他、アイオノマーフィルム(IOフィルム)、ポリエチレンフィルム(PEフィルム)、ポリ塩化ビニルフィルム(PVCフィルム)、ポリ塩化ビニリデンフィルム(PVDCフィルム)、ポリビニルアルコールフィルム(PVAフィルム)、ポリプロピレンフィルム(PPフィルム)、ポリエステルフィルム、ポリカーボネートフィルム(PCフィルム)、ポリアクリロニトリルフィルム(PANフィルム)、エチレンービニルアルコール共重合体フィルム(EVOHフィルム)、エチレンーメタクリル酸共重合体フィルム(EMAAフィルム)、ナイロンフィルム(NYフィルム、ポリアミド(PA)フィルム)、セロファンなどを適用することができる。
また、透光性合成樹脂膜13pとして、光触媒コーティング材(酸化チタン光触媒層)を適用することも可能である。光触媒コーティング材を適用することによって、透光性合成樹脂膜13pの汚れによる特性劣化を抑制することができる。
透光性合成樹脂膜13pを本体部13(ガラス管13g)に被覆するときの接着剤としては、透光性を有する感圧型粘着剤が挙げられる。また、感圧型粘着剤は、紫外線吸収剤を含むことが好ましく、紫外線吸収剤を含有させることによってフィルムの劣化を防止することができる。
なお、透光性合成樹脂膜13pは、建築窓ガラス用フィルムについてのJIS規格(A5759)を満たすように形成されることが好ましい。
光発電モジュール12については、実施の形態6で更に説明する。
<実施の形態2>
図2Aないし図2Cを参照して、本実施の形態に係る光発電システムについて説明する。なお、本実施の形態では、光発電モジュール12(光発電モジュール22)の具体的な構造を省略している(図6、図7で後述する)が、実施の形態1に係る光発電モジュール12をそのまま適用することができるので、符号を援用する。
図2Aないし図2Cを参照して、本実施の形態に係る光発電システムについて説明する。なお、本実施の形態では、光発電モジュール12(光発電モジュール22)の具体的な構造を省略している(図6、図7で後述する)が、実施の形態1に係る光発電モジュール12をそのまま適用することができるので、符号を援用する。

本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュール12(棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュール22)を複数備えた光発電システム1である。光発電システム1は、複数の光発電モジュール12が相互に離れて面状に並べられた第1光発電モジュール群11と、複数の光発電モジュール22が相互に離れて面状に並べられた第2光発電モジュール群21と、第1光発電モジュール群11を保持する第1保持部15と、第2光発電モジュール群21を保持する第2保持部25とを備える。また、第1光発電モジュール群11と第2光発電モジュール群21とは、重なって平行に配置されている。
したがって、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、面状に構成した複数の光発電モジュール群(例えば、第1光発電モジュール群11および第2光発電モジュール群21)を平行に重ねて配置することから、照射光LSが照射される側に第1光発電モジュール群11が配置された場合、第1光発電モジュール群11の非照射側に配置された第2光発電モジュール群21が第1光発電モジュール群11に向けて光を反射する反射部材を構成し、第1光発電モジュール群11の非照射側に向かう反射光(散乱光)を生じさせるので、第1光発電モジュール群11の単位設置面積あたりの発電量を向上させることができる。
なお、説明の便宜上、光発電モジュール12および光発電モジュール22は、異なる符号で記載されるが、光発電システム1(第1光発電モジュール群11、第2光発電モジュール群21)を構成する要素(光発電モジュール)として共通するものである。つまり、光発電システム1が備える光発電モジュールは、光発電モジュール12および光発電モジュール22の双方を含む概念である。
第1光発電モジュール群11は、光発電モジュール12を面状に配置しているが、面としては平面状が好ましい。しかし、これに限らず平面を湾曲させた曲面を構成しても良い。また、同様に、第2光発電モジュール群21は、光発電モジュール22を面状に配置しているが、面としては平面状が好ましい。しかし、これに限らず平面を湾曲させた曲面を構成しても良い。
光発電モジュール12、光発電モジュール22は、同様に外形を棒状とされ、端部から光発電出力を得ることができる。光発電モジュール12(光発電モジュール22)の詳細は実施の形態6(図6、図7)で更に説明する。
また、光発電システム1(第1光発電モジュール群11、第2光発電モジュール群21)は、設置部材40によって支持され、設置面RFから垂直方向で離れた位置に配置される。設置面RFが陸屋根であり、光発電システム1が屋外に配置された状態であれば、照射光LSは太陽光であり、太陽光発電を行うことができる。
光発電モジュール12、光発電モジュール22は、棒状とされていることから、照射光LSが太陽光であって時間の経過に伴って照射方向が棒の外周に沿って移動(変化)する場合でも受光状態は変化を抑制することが可能となり、安定した受光状態によって安定した太陽光発電を行うことができる。
本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1では、第1光発電モジュール群11での光発電モジュール12の配置方向Df(棒状の外形の長さ方向)と、第2光発電モジュール群21での光発電モジュール22の配置方向Ds(棒状の外形の長さ方向)とは、平行である(図2C参照)。
したがって、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、平面的に見て(例えば照射光LSの方から見て)、第1光発電モジュール群11を構成する光発電モジュール12が相互に離れた隙間に第2光発電モジュール群21を構成する光発電モジュール22を配置することができるので、光発電モジュール相互間(光発電モジュール12相互間、光発電モジュール22相互間)の隙間を有効に利用することができ、単位面積における光発電モジュール(光発電モジュール12および光発電モジュール22)の設置率を向上させて単位設置面積あたりの発電量を向上させることができる。つまり、光発電モジュール12相互間の隙間、光発電モジュール22相互間の隙間を有効に活用することができるので、光発電システム1として単位面積当たりの発電効率を向上させることができる。
また、従来の技術では、設置面RFに反射部材RB(図10B参照)を配置する必要があったが、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1によれば、第2光発電モジュール群21が第1光発電モジュール群11に対して反射面を構成することから、従来のような反射部材RB(図10B参照)を不要とすることができる。なお、第2光発電モジュール群21に対して作用する反射部材(不図示)を適用することも可能である。
相互に離れて面状に並べられた光発電モジュール12相互の間隔、相互に離れて面状に並べられた光発電モジュール22相互の間隔は、第1光発電モジュール群11および第2光発電モジュール群21を重ねて配置したとき、光発電モジュール12と光発電モジュール22とが重ならない程度を最小の間隔とすることが好ましい(図2C参照)。
なお、光発電モジュール12相互の間隔、光発電モジュール22相互の間隔は同一とされ、同一の間隔で繰り返して配置されることが好ましい。
光発電モジュール12と光発電モジュール22とが重ならないように配置することで、照射光LSが正面(光発電システム1の平面に対する垂直方向)から照射する場合の照射効率(面積効率)を最大化することができる。また、第1光発電モジュール群11での光発電モジュール12相互間の間隔をあけることで、第2光発電モジュール群21に対する照射光LSを大きくすることができ、単位設置面積あたりの発電量を向上させることができる。
しかし、光発電モジュール12、光発電モジュール22の配置間隔を大きくし過ぎると、第1光発電モジュール群11(第2光発電モジュール群21)の配置面積が拡大することから、単位設置面積あたりの発電量は低下する。したがって、必要に応じた間隔を設置場所の状況に応じて適宜設定することが好ましい。
また、光発電システム1では、第1光発電モジュール群11の光発電モジュール12の面配置の形状(面形状)と第2光発電モジュール群21の光発電モジュール22の面配置の形状(面形状)とは同一とされていることが好ましい。
つまり、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、第1光発電モジュール群11での光発電モジュール12の面配置の形状と第2光発電モジュール群21での光発電モジュール22の面配置の形状とを同一とすることから、第1光発電モジュール群11の面形状と第2光発電モジュール群21の面形状とを同一にして重ねて配置される複数の光発電モジュール群(第1光発電モジュール群11、第2光発電モジュール群21)の組立作業を容易にし、また、設置作業を容易にすることができる。
なお、第1光発電モジュール群11の光発電モジュール12の面配置の形状(面形状)、第2光発電モジュール群21の光発電モジュール22の面配置の形状(面形状)は、第1保持部15、第2保持部25を含めた形状(外周形状)として規定することができる。
第1光発電モジュール群11(光発電モジュール12)と第2光発電モジュール群21(光発電モジュール22)とを同一の本数(同一の面配置。同一の面形状)とした場合、第1光発電モジュール群11と第2光発電モジュール群21を重ねたとき、光発電モジュール12と光発電モジュール22とは重ならないように配置することが好ましい。
光発電モジュール12が配置された第1保持部15(第1光発電モジュール群11)と光発電モジュール22が配置された第2保持部25(第2光発電モジュール群21)を同一の配置状態でそのまま重ねると、光発電モジュール12と光発電モジュール22もそのまま重なってしまう。したがって、一方(例えば第1光発電モジュール群11)の配置を他方(第2光発電モジュール群21)の配置に対して左右反転させること(図2B、図2C参照)によって、同一の面配置(同一の面形状)であっても光発電モジュール12(第1光発電モジュール群11)と光発電モジュール22(第2光発電モジュール群21)とが照射光LSの方向から見て平面視で重なることを防止できる。
なお、第1光発電モジュール群11の光発電モジュール12の本数に対して第2光発電モジュール群21の光発電モジュール22の本数を異ならせて配置することも可能である。
上述したとおり、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、光発電モジュール12が配置された第1光発電モジュール群11と、光発電モジュール22が配置された第2光発電モジュール群21とが垂直方向で平行に配置された少なくとも2面を備える状態とされる。
しかし、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、実施の形態1に係る光発電モジュール12を適用した場合、光発電モジュール12が配置された第1光発電モジュール群11だけが垂直方向で配置された1面を備える状態とされても良い。
すなわち、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュール12を複数備えた光発電システム1であって、複数の光発電モジュール12が相互に離れて面状に並べられた第1光発電モジュール群11(光発電モジュール群)と、第1光発電モジュール群11を保持する第1保持部15(保持部)とを備え、光発電モジュール12は、実施の形態1に係る光発電モジュール12であることが好ましい。
したがって、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、実施の形態1に係る光発電モジュール12を相互に離して面状に配置する第1光発電モジュール群11(光発電モジュール群)と、第1光発電モジュール群11を保持する第1保持部15(保持部)とを備えることから、安全性が高く、効率的な光発電システムを実現することができる。

本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュール12、光発電モジュール22を複数備えた光発電システムであって、複数の光発電モジュール12が相互に離れて面状に並べられた第1光発電モジュール群11と、複数の光発電モジュール22が相互に離れて面状に並べられた第2光発電モジュール群21と、第1光発電モジュール群11を保持する第1保持部15と、第2光発電モジュール群21を保持する第2保持部25とを備え、第1光発電モジュール群11と第2光発電モジュール群21とは、重なって平行に配置されている。
したがって、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、複数の光発電モジュール群(例えば、第1光発電モジュール群11および第2光発電モジュール群21)を平行に重ねて配置することから、照射光LSが照射される側に第1光発電モジュール群11が配置された場合、第1光発電モジュール群11の非照射側に配置された第2光発電モジュール群21が第1光発電モジュール群11に向けて光を反射する反射部材を構成し、第1光発電モジュール群11の非照射側に向かう反射光(散乱光)を生じさせるので、第1光発電モジュール群11の単位設置面積あたりの発電量を向上させることができる。
本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1では、第1光発電モジュール群11での光発電モジュール12の配置方向Df(棒状の外形の長さ方向)と、第2光発電モジュール群21での光発電モジュール22の配置方向Ds(棒状の外形の長さ方向)とは、交差している(図3C参照)。
したがって、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、平面的に見て(例えば照射光LSの方から見て)、第1光発電モジュール群11を構成する光発電モジュール12の配置方向Dfに対して第2光発電モジュール群21を構成する光発電モジュール22の配置方向Dsが交差していることから、例えば太陽光のように常時変化する照射光LSの変化による影響を更に抑制して発電効率を向上させることができる。
また、光発電システム1では、第1光発電モジュール群11の光発電モジュール12の面配置の形状(面形状)と第2光発電モジュール群21の光発電モジュール22の面配置の形状(面形状)は同一とされていることが好ましい。
つまり、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、第1光発電モジュール群11での光発電モジュール12の面配置の形状と第2光発電モジュール群21での光発電モジュール22の面配置の形状を同一とすることから、第1光発電モジュール群11の面形状と第2光発電モジュール群21の面形状とを同一にして重ねて配置される複数の光発電モジュール群(第1光発電モジュール群11、第2光発電モジュール群21)の組立作業を容易にし、また、設置作業を容易にすることができる。
なお、第1光発電モジュール群11の光発電モジュール12の面配置の形状(面形状)、第2光発電モジュール群21の光発電モジュール22の面配置の形状(面形状)は、第1保持部15、第2保持部25を含めた形状(外周形状)として規定することができる。
第1保持部15、第2保持部25を含めた外周形状を同一にすることから、第1光発電モジュール群11を第2光発電モジュール群21に対して90度回転させたとき、あるいは逆に第2光発電モジュール群21を第1光発電モジュール群11に対して90度回転させたとき、相互に重ねることが可能となる。
つまり、第1光発電モジュール群11と第2光発電モジュール群21とは、第1保持部15、第2保持部25を含めた状態で正方形に形成されていることが好ましい。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態2とは異なって、光発電モジュール12の配置方向Dfと光発電モジュール22の配置方向Dsとは交差している。したがって、光発電モジュール12と光発電モジュール22とを同一の面配置とした場合、長方形の面形状のときには重ねたときに第1保持部15の配置と第2保持部25の配置とが異なる形状となることから、下側に配置された第2光発電モジュール群21からの反射光が十分に得られない虞がある。
したがって、下側に配置された第2光発電モジュール群21からの反射を十分に得るためには、第1光発電モジュール群11と第2光発電モジュール群21との面形状を一致させることが好ましい。つまり、光発電モジュール12が第1保持部15に支持されて構成する面形状、および、光発電モジュール22が第2保持部25に支持されて構成する面形状の縦と横とを同一の寸法として正方形を構成させ、光発電モジュール12(第1光発電モジュール群11)と光発電モジュール22(第2光発電モジュール群21)とを交差させて重ねたときに正方形(図3C参照)を構成させることが好ましい。
第1光発電モジュール群11および第2光発電モジュール群21を重ねた場合の外形状態(平面視での外周状態)が正方形となるように構成する場合、第1光発電モジュール群11と第2光発電モジュール群21は平面視の縦横が実質同一形状(実質同一サイズの正方形)のものを準備し、重ねるときに方向を90度異ならせれば良いことから、生産性を向上させ、設置作業を簡略化することができる。
なお、第1光発電モジュール群11および第2光発電モジュール群21は、正方形に限らず、それぞれ長方形を構成する形状であっても良い。

したがって、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、第1光発電モジュール群11と第2光発電モジュール群21との間の間隔SPを十分にとることから、第1光発電モジュール群11と第2光発電モジュール群21との間での光反射(光散乱)を大きくして均一化するので、第1光発電モジュール群11および第2光発電モジュール群21の単位設置面積あたりの発電量を確実に向上させることができる。
なお、間隔SPは、第1保持部15と第2保持部25との間に適宜のスペーサを配置することで設定される。

図5は、本発明の実施の形態5に係る光発電システム1を構成する第1光発電モジュール群11、第2光発電モジュール群21、第3光発電モジュール群31の相互の配置関係を示す側面図である。
本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1では、第1光発電モジュール群11(光発電モジュール12による平面)および第2光発電モジュール群21(光発電モジュール22による平面)の2つの平面での配置に限らず、更に3層目を配置することも可能である。
つまり、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1では、第1光発電モジュール群11、第2光発電モジュール群21に加えて、第3光発電モジュール群31が配置されている。第3光発電モジュール群31は、複数の光発電モジュール32が相互に離れて面状に並べられている。また、第3光発電モジュール群31は、第3保持部35によって保持されている。
即ち、第3光発電モジュール群31は、第1光発電モジュール群11、第2光発電モジュール群21と同様に構成され、光発電モジュール32は、光発電モジュール12、光発電モジュール22と同様に配置されている。
第1光発電モジュール群11、第2光発電モジュール群21、第3光発電モジュール群31の間の間隔を更に拡大すれば、更に多層化することも可能である。また、第1光発電モジュール群11、第2光発電モジュール群21、および第3光発電モジュール群31をそれぞれが曲面を形成するように配置する場合には、更に有効である。
<実施の形態6>
図6および図7を参照して棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュール12(光発電システム1の構成要素としての光発電モジュール)、光発電モジュール12(第1光発電モジュール群11)を保持する第1保持部15について実施の形態6として説明する。光発電モジュール12、第1保持部15は、実施の形態2ないし実施の形態5に係る光発電システム1にそのまま適用される光発電モジュールであるので、光発電システム1については、適宜説明を省略することがある。
図6および図7を参照して棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュール12(光発電システム1の構成要素としての光発電モジュール)、光発電モジュール12(第1光発電モジュール群11)を保持する第1保持部15について実施の形態6として説明する。光発電モジュール12、第1保持部15は、実施の形態2ないし実施の形態5に係る光発電システム1にそのまま適用される光発電モジュールであるので、光発電システム1については、適宜説明を省略することがある。
なお、光発電モジュール22、光発電モジュール22を保持する第2保持部25(実施の形態2ないし実施の形態4)、光発電モジュール32、光発電モジュール32を保持する第3保持部35(実施の形態5)も光発電モジュール12、第1保持部15と同様の構成であるので、主に光発電モジュール12、第1保持部15について説明する。
図6は、本発明の実施の形態6に係る光発電モジュール12の第1保持部15での接続状態を模式的に示す部分断面図である。
図7は、図6に示した光発電モジュール12の内部構造を模式的に示す断面図である。
本実施の形態に係る光発電モジュール12は、外形を棒状とされ、棒状の外形の内部に光起電力素子(例えば太陽電池素子)が形成されている。つまり、光発電モジュール12は、本体部13と、本体部13の長さ方向の端に導出された出力端14とを備える。出力端14は、外側電極13f(図7)に対応する側の出力端14fと、内側電極13s(図7)に対応する側の出力端14sとを備える。
出力端14f(出力端14)は、光発電モジュール12の一方端が配置された第1保持部15に形成された配線16に接続され、出力端14s(出力端14)は、光発電モジュール12の他方端が配置された第1保持部15に形成された配線16に接続されている。このように外側電極13fを第1保持部15の一方に揃え、内側電極13sを第1保持部15の他方に揃えた接続形態とするときは、光発電モジュール12は、第1光発電モジュール群11において、並列接続された状態とすることが好ましい。
出力端14f、出力端14sの接続形態は、上記の接続形態に限らず、出力端14f、出力端14sを一方の側の第1保持部15(配線16)に対して交互に出力する接続形態とすれば、光発電モジュール12は、第1光発電モジュール群11において、直列接続とされた状態とすることができる。
なお、第1保持部15は、光発電モジュール12を配置、挿入する側が開放された溝状とすることが好ましい。溝状とすることによって、光発電モジュール12に対向する側だけを開放して他の壁面を外部から遮断した状態とすることから、外部からの影響を排除して光発電モジュール12の接続状態を安定化させることができる。
第1保持部15の内側に配線16を配置することから、第1保持部15は、光発電モジュール12(第1光発電モジュール群11)の保持に加えて、光発電モジュール12(第1光発電モジュール群11)から光発電による電力を容易に出力することができ、また、外部からの影響を排除して安全に出力することができるので、光発電システム1の耐候性、信頼性を確保することができる。
本体部13は、照射光LS(図2B、図3B参照)を外側から内部へ透過させるために透光性を持たせてあり、例えば円筒状のガラス管で形成されている。本体部13は、強度を確保するため、また、照射光LSがどのような方向から照射されても、十分に照射光が棒状の内部へ均等に照射されるようにするために円筒状であることが好ましい。円筒の直径(外周)は、例えば、20mm~40mm程度であり、長さは、例えば1000mm程度とすることができる。円筒の肉厚は、強度を確保するために適宜の値とされ、例えば1mm程度とすることができる。
光発電モジュール12は、本体部13を構成するガラス管13g、ガラス管13gの内側に配置された外側電極13f、外側電極13fの内側に配置された光電変換層13c(光発電層)、光電変換層13cの内側に配置された内側電極13sを備え、外側電極13f、光電変換層13c、内側電極13sが光起電力素子を構成する。
なお、本体部13は、ガラス管に限らず透光性を有する他の素材を適用することも可能であり、例えば、アクリル樹脂などのプラスチック、セラミックなどを適用しても良い。
外側電極13fは、内側に配置された光電変換層13cへ照射光を入射させる必要があることから透光性を有する材料で構成され、例えば、ITO(酸化インジウム錫)である。光電変換層13cは、例えば化合物半導体層で構成され、一例としてCuInGaSeで形成されている。内側電極13sは、例えばMoである。この構成は、CIGS太陽電池として知られている。
光発電モジュール12の内部における光起電力素子は、CIGS太陽電池に限らず、シリコン系、その他の化合物半導体系など、どのような種類のものであっても良い。
上述したとおり、光発電システム1では、光発電モジュール12(棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュール12)の外形は、円筒で構成されていることが好ましい。この構成によって、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、必要かつ十分な機械的強度を確保し、耐候性を確保するので、屋外へ設置して太陽光による発電を行うことができる。
なお、本実施の形態では、光発電モジュール12の外形を規定する本体部13を棒状とし、具体的には円筒(円管)で構成されているとして説明したが、円筒に限らず楕円筒(楕円管)、多角形の角管などとすることも可能である。また、円筒としたが、必ずしも中空にする必要はなく、内部の構造は、電極、光電変換部が詰められた構造として、円柱、楕円柱、多角形の角柱とすることも可能である。
上述したとおり、本実施の形態に係る光発電モジュール12は、実施の形態2ないし実施の形態5に係る光発電システム1にそのまま適用され、光発電システム1の一部を構成することとなる。
つまり、光発電システム1では、第1保持部15、第2保持部25、第3保持部35は、光発電モジュール(光発電モジュール12、光発電モジュール22、光発電モジュール32)の出力端(例えば、光発電モジュール12の出力端14)に接続された配線(例えば、第1保持部15での配線部16)を備える。したがって、本実施の形態に係る光発電システム1は、確実な集電が可能となり、信頼性を向上させることができる。
以上、本発明に係る実施の形態2ないし実施の形態6について詳述したが、本発明は、上記した実施の形態や変形例に限定されるものではなく、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範疇の設計変更等が施されたものであっても、本発明の範囲に含まれる。
また、本実施の形態に係る光発電モジュール12においては、実施の形態1に係る光発電モジュール12が有する透光性合成樹脂膜13pを省略して説明したが、透光性合成樹脂膜13pは、そのまま本実施の形態においても適用される。
<実施の形態7>
図8Aないし図9Bを参照して本実施の形態に係る採光設備50について説明する。採光設備50は、植物PLに対して例えば太陽光を減光する状態で配置された人工設備(図8Aでは温室WR、図8Bでは屋上RFに配置された屋上屋根RFu、図8Cでは建物間に配置された建物間屋根RFb、図8Dではテラスに配置されたテラス屋根TR)に適用された、光発電モジュール12を複数備えた光発電システム1(他の実施の形態参照)である。
図8Aないし図9Bを参照して本実施の形態に係る採光設備50について説明する。採光設備50は、植物PLに対して例えば太陽光を減光する状態で配置された人工設備(図8Aでは温室WR、図8Bでは屋上RFに配置された屋上屋根RFu、図8Cでは建物間に配置された建物間屋根RFb、図8Dではテラスに配置されたテラス屋根TR)に適用された、光発電モジュール12を複数備えた光発電システム1(他の実施の形態参照)である。
図8Aは、本発明の実施の形態7に係る採光設備50の実施例1の概略を概念的に示す斜視図である。
温室WRには、植物PLが植栽されている。なお、温室WRは、外形を確定する骨組みWR1と、骨組みWR1に沿わせて配置され、温室WRの室内空間を外部環境から遮断する遮断面WR2とを備える。遮断面WR2は、例えば透光性フィルムで形成されている。
実施例1に係る採光設備50(光発電システム1、光発電モジュール12)は、支持部51を介して温室WRの天面に配置されている。したがって、外部からの光(例えば太陽光)を温室WRの空間内へ採光することができる。なお、採光の度合いについては、図9Aおよび図9Bで説明する(以下の実施例2ないし実施例4において同様である。)。
図8Bは、本発明の実施の形態7に係る採光設備50の実施例2の概略を概念的に示す斜視図である。
建物BLの屋上RFに、例えば植物PLが配置され、植物PLに対して支持部51を介して採光設備50(光発電システム1、光発電モジュール12)が配置されている。採光設備50は、支持部51の天面で屋上屋根RFuを構成している。したがって、採光設備50は、植物PLに対して採光性を有し、採光設備として機能する。
図8Cは、本発明の実施の形態7に係る採光設備50の実施例3の概略を概念的に示す斜視図である。
建物1と建物2との間に空間が配置され、建物1の屋上RFと建物2の屋上RFとの間には、建物間屋根RFbが配置されている。建物間屋根RFbに対向する地面には例えば植物PLが配置されている。したがって、植物PLに対して建物間屋根RFbが配置され、植物PLに対して日陰となる虞があるが、支持部51として機能する建物間屋根RFbには、採光設備50(光発電システム1、光発電モジュール12)が配置され、植物PLに対して採光設備として機能する。
図8Dは、本発明の実施の形態7に係る採光設備50の実施例4の概略を概念的に示す斜視図である。
家屋HSのテラスTSにテラス屋根TRが配置されている。テラス屋根TRに対向するテラスTSには例えば植物PLが配置されている。支持部51として機能するテラス屋根TRには、採光設備50(光発電システム1、光発電モジュール12)が配置され、植物PLに対して採光設備として機能する。
以上、図8Aないし図8Dで示したとおり、本実施の形態に係る採光設備50は、棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュール12を備えた採光設備50であって、光発電モジュール12を複数備えた光発電システム1と、光発電システム1を支持する支持部51とを備え、光発電モジュール12は、実施の形態1ないし実施の形態6に記載の光発電モジュールであり、光発電システム1は、実施の形態2ないし実施の形態6に記載の光発電システム1である。
したがって、本実施の形態に係る採光設備50は、光発電と採光とを合わせて実現することから、光発電モジュール12の用途を拡大することができる。
次に、図9Aおよび図9Bを参照して、光発電モジュール12の配置状態によって、採光率を制御する場合について説明する。
図9Aは、太陽光の経路(高度および方位)と光発電モジュール12の配置状態(モジュール直径:モジュール間隔=1:1)との関係による採光率の変動状態を示すグラフである。
グラフにおいて、横軸は太陽光の経路での方位(南中に対し、東側でマイナス120度から西側でプラス120度)を示し、縦軸は太陽光の高度(0度から90度まで)を示している。また、曲線SC1が夏至における太陽光の経路であり、曲線SC2が冬至における太陽光の経路である。横軸に平行に記載した帯グラフで、透過領域と遮光領域との相対比を示している。なお、グラフに対応する場所は、日本(東京)である。また、曲線状に時刻表示(6hないし18h)を重ねている。以上の事項については、図9Bにおいても同様である。
図9Aでは、光発電モジュール12の配置状態をモジュール直径:モジュール間隔=1:1とした場合の太陽の経路に対する太陽光が遮光される遮光領域および太陽光が透過する透過領域の関係を示す。
夏至について説明すると、正午(12h)では、透過領域40%、遮光領域60%となり、午前9時では、透過領域10%、遮光領域90%となり、午後3時では、透過領域10%、遮光領域90%となっている。つまり、正午は採光率が40%、午前9時、午後3時は採光率が10%である。
図9Bは、太陽光の経路(高度および方位)と光発電モジュール12の配置状態(モジュール直径:モジュール間隔=1:1.6)との関係による採光率の変動状態を示すグラフである。
図9Bでは、光発電モジュール12の配置状態をモジュール直径:モジュール間隔=1:1.6とした場合の太陽の経路に対する太陽光が遮光される遮光領域および太陽光が透過する透過領域の関係を示す。
夏至について説明すると、正午(12h)では、透過領域60%、遮光領域40%となり、午前9時では、透過領域30%、遮光領域70%となり、午後3時では、透過領域30%、遮光領域70%となっている。つまり、正午は採光率が60%、午前9時、午後3時は採光率が30%である。
したがって、図9Aおよび図9Bで示されたとおり、光発電モジュール12の配置状態(モジュール直径に対するモジュール間隔)を変更することによって、透過領域と遮光領域の比率を変更させることができる。つまり、採光率(透過領域の面積/(透過領域の面積+斜交領域の面積))を変更することが可能となる。
なお、通常の平置き型の太陽電池モジュールでは、太陽電池モジュールを構成する太陽電池セルが平面上に固定されていること、太陽電池モジュールの配置面が全て遮光されることなどから、採光設備として構成することはできない。これに対し、本実施の形態に係る光発電モジュール12によれば、光発電モジュール12相互間に空間を有する光発電システム1が形成されることから、光発電モジュール12相互間の空間を利用して採光設備50を形成することができる。
光発電モジュール12の配置状態を変更する構成としては、例えば光発電モジュール12相互間の間隔を変更すること、あるいは、光発電モジュール12を保持する第1保持部15、第2保持部25、第3保持部35の相対位置を変更することなどによって適宜変更することができる。
また、採光設備50は、一日の間では、太陽の経路(方位)に応じて、光発電モジュール12の間隔を調整することによって、植栽している植物に対して効果的に太陽光を照射することができる。
また、光発電システム1としての発電量に対する要請が比較的少ない春・秋には、植物に対する採光を優先して光発電システム1における光発電モジュール12の間隔を調整することができる。
また、採光設備50が備える光発電システム1(光発電モジュール12)によって昼の間に発生した電力を適宜の蓄電池に貯蔵し、夜間に植物PLに対して必要な照明を施すことが可能である。
本発明(光発電モジュール、光発電システム、採光設備)は、例えば屋外に設置して太陽光を電気に変換する太陽光発電モジュール、太陽光発電システム、採光設備とすることが可能であり、クリーンエネルギーを利用して電気を発生させるために有効に利用できる。

- 棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュールであって、
前記外形を形成する本体部と、前記本体部の内側に形成された光起電力素子と、前記本体部の両端に形成され前記光起電力素子が発電した電力を出力する出力端とを備え、
前記本体部は、透光性合成樹脂膜で被覆されていること
を特徴とする光発電モジュール。 - 棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュールを複数備えた光発電システムであって、
複数の前記光発電モジュールが相互に離れて面状に並べられた第1光発電モジュール群と、前記第1光発電モジュール群を保持する第1保持部とを備え、
前記光発電モジュールは、請求項1に記載の光発電モジュールであること
を特徴とする光発電システム。 - 棒状の外形を有する光発電モジュールを備えた採光設備であって、
前記光発電モジュールを複数備えた前記光発電システムと、
前記光発電システムを支持する支持部とを備え、
前記光発電システムは、請求項2に記載の光発電システムであること
を特徴とする採光設備。
