 本発明の一態様における電池組付け装置は,外周の1箇所同士が互いに対面し,互いに順方向回りに回転する第1および第2の回転テーブルと,第1の回転テーブルの外周に設けられ電池を把持する電池把持部と,第2の回転テーブルの外周に設けられ枠体を把持する枠体把持部と,電池把持部に対して第1および第2の回転テーブルの対面位置以外の位置で電池を供給する電池供給部と,枠体把持部に対して対面位置以外の位置で枠体を供給する枠体供給部と,電池と枠体とが組付けられた組付け体を対面位置から搬出する搬出部とを有し,第1および第2の回転テーブルは,電池把持部と枠体把持部とが,対面位置で毎回対面する回転速度比および位相関係で回転するものである。これにより,電池とその電池を収容する枠体とを高精度に組付けることができ,さらに,その生産性は高い。

Description

電池組付け装置および電池組付け体の製造方法
 本発明は,電池組付け装置および電池組付け体の製造方法に関する。さらに詳細には,電池とその電池を収容する枠体との組付けを行う電池組付け装置および電池組付け体の製造方法に関するものである。
 電池は,携帯電話やノート型パソコンなどの電子機器の電源として,ハイブリッド自動車や電気自動車などの車両用の電源として,多岐にわたる分野で利用されている。そして,電池には,ニッケル・カドミウム電池,ニッケル・水素電池,リチウムイオン二次電池などがある。
 そして,電池は,さまざまな用途の電源として利用される際に,その用途に応じた出力を得るため,複数の単電池(セル)を電気的に接続した組電池(モジュール)として用いられている。例えば,車両用の電源として利用される組電池においては,複数の単電池を電気的に直列に接続し,必要となる出力電圧を得ている。この場合,一般に,車両へ搭載する際の省スペース化の観点から,複数の角型の単電池を積層させるように配置してなる組電池が用いられる。そして,このように配置された組電池においては,放熱や,隣り合う単電池同士の絶縁および断熱などを考慮する必要がある。
 このような技術として,特許文献1が例示される。特許文献1には,隣り合う単電池の間にはスペーサを挟み込みつつ,複数の角型の単電池を積層させるように配置してなる組電池において,スペーサを,一定以上の熱に反応し熱分解される発砲剤を含有させた絶縁性の樹脂で形成することが開示されている。これにより,隣り合う単電池同士を絶縁しつつ,組電池のうちいずれかの単電池が異常発熱した際に,その隣り合う単電池に熱が伝達されることを抑制できるとしている。また,特許文献1には,スペーサに熱交換媒体が移動する通路を形成することも開示されている。これにより,組電池の温度調節を,効率良く行うことができるとしている。

 ここにおいて,車両に搭載される組電池においては,振動や衝撃が発生する。そこで,特許文献1に開示されているようなスペーサ形状ではなく,単電池を覆うような枠体形状とし,単電池とのズレ,ガタを防止することが考えられる。
 しかし,放熱,絶縁,断熱などの機能を備えた枠体の形状は複雑となる。また,単電池と枠体とのズレ,ガタを防止するためには,その隙間を小さくする必要がある。よって,単電池と枠体とを組付ける際に,高い組付け精度が必要となる。そこで,単電池と枠体とをそれぞれロボットに把持させ,これにより組付けることが考えられる。ロボットは精密かつ複雑な動作ができるからである。
 ところで,近年,1台の車両に必要となる単電池の個数は,多いもので数百個にもなるほど多数となっている。よって,単電池と枠体とを組付ける工程においては,その高速化が要求される。しかし,ロボットでは,1度に1組の単電池と枠体との組付けしか実施することができない。また,枠体は,樹脂で形成されているため変形しやすく,ロボットに強く把持させることはできない。よって,ロボットの動作速度は制限される。従って,ロボットを用いた組付けでは,その高速化が困難であるため,生産性は低い。
 そして,本発明の課題とするところは,単電池とその単電池を収容する枠体とを高精度に組付けることができ,さらに生産性の高い電池組付け装置および電池組付け体の製造方法を提供することである。
 この課題の解決を目的としてなされた本発明の一態様における電池組付け装置は,電池とその電池を収容する枠体との組付けを行う電池組付け装置であって,外周の1箇所同士が互いに対面し,互いに順方向回りに回転する第1および第2の回転テーブルと,第1の回転テーブルの外周に設けられ電池を把持する電池把持部と,第2の回転テーブルの外周に設けられ枠体を把持する枠体把持部と,電池把持部に対して第1および第2の回転テーブルの対面位置以外の位置で電池を供給する電池供給部と,枠体把持部に対して対面位置以外の位置で枠体を供給する枠体供給部と,電池と枠体とが組付けられた組付け体を対面位置から搬出する搬出部とを有し,第1および第2の回転テーブルは,電池把持部と枠体把持部とが,対面位置で毎回対面する回転速度比および位相関係で回転するものであることを特徴とする電池組付け装置である。
 本発明の電池組付け装置は,第1および第2の回転テーブルが,電池把持部と枠体把持部とを,対面位置で毎回対面するように互いに順方向回りに回転する。また,電池把持部および枠体把持部に,それぞれ電池および枠体を対面位置以外で供給する。さらに,組付けられた電池と枠体とを,搬出部により順次搬出することができる。よって,電池と枠体との供給,組付け,搬出の動作を高速で連続的に行うことができる。
 また,上記に記載の電池組付け装置において,第1の回転テーブルの周速が第2の回転テーブルの周速より早いことが好ましい。このようにすることで,枠体の寸法の余裕が,その内部に収容する単電池に対して小さい場合であっても,これらを干渉することなく組付けることができる。つまり,電池と枠体とを高精度に組付けることができる。さらに,電池および枠体の損傷による生産不良を低減することができる。加えて,電池および枠体が,それぞれの把持部から脱落することなどによる設備停止を低減することができる。
 また,上記に記載の電池組付け装置において,電池把持部は,固定して設けられ,電池における,第1の回転テーブルの回転による進行方向の前方側の端部を把持する第1把持ツメと,可動に設けられ,電池における,第1の回転テーブルの回転による進行方向の後方側の端部を把持する第2把持ツメと,第2把持ツメを第1把持ツメに近接する向きに付勢する付勢部材と,付勢部材の付勢による第2把持ツメの動きの範囲を規定する規制部とを有することが好ましい。
 また,上記に記載の電池組付け装置において,枠体把持部は,固定して設けられ,枠体における,第2の回転テーブルの回転による進行方向の後方側の端部を把持する第1把持ツメと,可動に設けられ,枠体における,第2の回転テーブルの回転による進行方向の前方側の端部を把持する第2把持ツメと,第2把持ツメを第1把持ツメに近接する向きに付勢する付勢部材と,付勢部材の付勢による第2把持ツメの動きの限界を規定する規制部とを有することが好ましい。
 第1の回転テーブルの周速が第2の回転テーブルの周速より早い場合においては,組付いた電池と枠体とが,電池把持部の第2把持ツメおよび枠体把持部の第1把持ツメに干渉するおそれがある。電池把持部と枠体把持部との回転する速度に差があるからである。よって,電池把持部の第2把持ツメ,または枠体把持部の第2把持ツメ,あるいはその両方に,回転する速度の差による干渉の分を吸収することができる機構を設けることにより,電池および枠体の損傷による生産不良を低減することができる。
 また,上記に記載の電池組付け装置において,電池把持部に把持されている電池と枠体把持部に把持されている枠体とのうち少なくとも一方を,他方に向かって対面位置を含む領域である対面領域内にて押し付ける可動部を有し,第1および第2の回転テーブルの少なくとも一方には,電池把持部および枠体把持部が対面領域外にあるときには可動部を非押し付け状態とし,電池把持部および枠体把持部が対面領域内にあるときに可動部に押し付け動作を行わせる押し付け動作形状部が形成されていることが好ましい。枠体が深い場合,電池と枠体とを回転させることによりこれらを深くまで組付けることが困難である。すなわち,電池と枠体との間には,隙間ができてしまうこととなる。よって,該隙間の分を押し付ける可動部を設けることで,電池と枠体とを干渉することなく組付けることができる。また,可動部は,第1および第2の回転テーブルが回転することにより動作することで,独立した駆動源を持つ必要がない。
 また,上記に記載の電池組付け装置において,第1および第2の回転テーブルが水平に設置されており,枠体把持部は,枠体を,その下端が上端よりも第2の回転テーブルの径方向外側に出っ張るように傾斜して把持するものであることが好ましい。このように枠体を傾けることで,電池と枠体とを,電池の重さにより組付けることができる。また,電池を枠体に入り込ませる際には,枠体の電池に対する寸法の余裕が小さい場合であっても,互いの位置精度の影響を受けにくい。枠体に対し,電池を傾けて挿入できるからである。よって,回転テーブルの回転軸の平行性や,電池と枠体との重力が作用する方向の厳密な位置合わせをそれほど必要としない。従って,安価な製造装置とすることができる。
 また,上記に記載の電池組付け装置において,電池把持部および枠体把持部はいずれも,第1または第2の回転テーブルの回転による進行方向の前方側の支軸を中心に第1および第2の回転テーブルの回転面内で揺動可能に設けられており,電池把持部における支軸よりも第1の回転テーブルの回転による進行方向後方側の位置を第1の回転テーブルの径方向外向きに付勢する電池把持部付勢部材と,電池把持部付勢部材の付勢による電池把持部の動きの限界を規定する電池把持部規制部と,枠体把持部における支軸よりも第2の回転テーブルの回転による進行方向後方側の位置を第2の回転テーブルの径方向外向きに付勢する枠体把持部付勢部材と,枠体把持部付勢部材の付勢による枠体把持部の動きの限界を規定する枠体把持部規制部とを有することが好ましい。このようにすることで,電池把持部と枠体把持部とは,電池と枠体との平行性を保ちつつ回転させることができる。つまり,相対的には,電池と枠体とは平行性を保ちつつ接近することとなる。これにより,電池と枠体とを組付けることができる。
 一方,本発明の他の態様における電池組付け体の製造方法は,電池とその電池を収容する枠体とを組付けてなる電池組付け体の製造方法であって,第1および第2の回転テーブルを,外周の1箇所同士が互いに対面し,互いに順方向回りとなるように回転させ,電池を,第1の回転テーブルの外周に設けられた電池把持部に,第1および第2の回転テーブルの対面位置以外の位置で把持させ,枠体を,第2の回転テーブルの外周に設けられた枠体把持部に,対面位置以外の位置で把持させ,第1および第2の回転テーブルを,電池把持部と枠体把持部とが,対面位置で毎回対面する回転速度比および位相関係で回転させることを特徴とする。
 本発明によれば,単電池とその単電池を収容する枠体とを高精度に組付けることができ,さらに生産性の高い電池組付け装置および電池組付け体の製造方法が提供される。

 以下,本発明を具体化した最良の形態について,図面を参照しつつ詳細に説明する。本形態は,リチウムイオン二次電池について本発明を具体化したものである。
[第1の形態]
[全体の概略構成]
 図1に,本形態に係る組電池10を示す。組電池10は,複数の単電池20からなる電池群である。各単電池20は,図2に示すように,それぞれが枠体30に収容されている。そして,組電池10は,単電池20と枠体30とを組付けてなる電池組付け体を,一方向に並べて積層させるように配置し,その両端をエンドプレート40で挟み込みつつ,金属バンド50により固定したものである。また,組電池10における複数の単電池20は,バスバー60により,電気的に直列に接続されている。
 図3に示すのは,組付けられる前の単電池20と枠体30である。単電池20は,その外形が直方体状のリチウムイオン二次電池である。また,単電池20は,正極板と負極板とを,それらの間にセパレータを挟み込みつつ扁平形状に捲回してなる発電要素と,リチウム塩を溶解させた有機溶剤からなる電解液とをその内部に収容している。
 単電池20において,枠体30と組付けられる際,その外面のうち最初に枠体30の内部に入り込むこととなる面を挿入面21ということとする。また,単電池20は,正極端子22と負極端子23とを有している。正極端子22および負極端子23は,バスバー60を介し,他の単電池20と電気的に接続するためのものである。正極端子22は,単電池20の内部において正極板と接続している。負極端子23は,単電池20の内部において負極板と接続している。さらに,単電池20には,枠体30と係止するための被固定部24が形成されている。
 ここにおいて,単電池20の外面の大部分は金属で形成されている。よって,組電池10におけるすべての単電池20は,隣り合う単電池20の外面同士を絶縁させるため,絶縁性の樹脂により形成された枠体30と組付けられているのである。また,電池組付け体において,単電池20に対する枠体30の寸法の余裕は極めて小さい。組電池10に対し,振動や衝撃などが加えられた際のズレ,ガタを防止するためである。さらに,枠体30は,収容する単電池20が異常発熱した際に,隣り合う単電池20に熱が伝達しないような断熱機能を有していてもよい。加えて,枠体30には,収容する単電池20の発熱を放熱させるため,熱交換媒体が移動する通路が形成されていてもよい。
 枠体30は,底面31と,その四辺に設けられた壁面35とを有し,全体として扁平な直方体状をなしている。ただし,底面31の対面は開放面となっている。これにより枠体30は,単電池20を内部に収容できるようになっている。そして,電池組付け体においては,枠体30の底面31が,単電池20の挿入面21と密着している。また,壁面35には,単電池20の正極端子22および負極端子23を枠体30から突出させるため,これと対応した位置に切欠き32および切欠き33が形成されている。さらに,壁面35は,単電池20の被固定部24と係止するための固定部34を有している。
 図3において,中心線Aは,単電池20の電極端子を有する面の中心を通り,この面に対して垂直となる仮想の線である。中心線Bは,電池組付け体における単電池20の中心線Aを,枠体30に対して示した仮想の線である。よって,図2に示すように,電池組付け体においては,単電池20の中心線Aと枠体30の中心線Bとが一致しているのである。また,図2における単電池20と枠体30とは,被固定部24と固定部34とを係止することにより組付けられている。このため,一旦組付けられた単電池20と枠体30とは,容易には分離しないようになっている。
[組付け装置]
 図4は,本形態における単電池20と枠体30との組付けを行う組付け装置100の平面図である。図4において,重力は紙面奥向きに作用する。図5は,図4におけるX-X断面図である。組付け装置100は,回転テーブル120,回転テーブル130,電池供給マガジン140,枠体供給マガジン150,コンベア160を備えている。また,図4において,単電池20の中心線Aおよび枠体30の中心線Bは,紙面に対して垂直となっている。よって,図4において,中心線Aを中心点Aで示し,中心線Bを中心点Bで示している。さらに,図5において,単電池20は,正極端子22および負極端子23を有する面を上方向に向けている。枠体30は,切欠き32および切欠き33が形成された面を上方向に向けている。ここにおいて,枠体30は,図3に示す形状である。しかし,図4以降の図(図14を省く)においては,枠体30を分かりやすく表わすため,断面であるコの字形状で示すこととする。
 回転テーブル120は,図5に示すように,駆動シャフト111により駆動源110と連結されている。これにより,回転テーブル120は,駆動源110による回転駆動を受けるようになっている。そして,回転テーブル120は,図4において,点Caを中心とし,反時計回りに回転可能である。また,図5に示すように,駆動シャフト111には,駆動ギア112が固定されている。
 回転テーブル130は,図5に示すように,従動シャフト113により従動ギア114と連結されている。従動ギア114は,駆動ギア112に噛み合っている。よって,回転テーブル130は,図4において,点Cbを中心とし,時計回りに回転可能である。すなわち,回転テーブル120と回転テーブル130とは,駆動源110による回転駆動を受けることにより,互いに順方向回りに回転するのである。
 また,図4に示すように,回転テーブル120と回転テーブル130とは,外周の1箇所同士において互いに対面している。そして,回転テーブル120と回転テーブル130とが対面している位置を,対面位置ということとする。また,本形態において,回転テーブル120と回転テーブル130との,それぞれの回転方向の対面位置より下流側の対面位置を含む領域を,対面領域ということとする。
 回転テーブル120は,図4に示すように,その外周に単電池20を把持するための電池把持治具121を2個有している。2個の電池把持治具121は,点Caを中心として互いに対極となる位置にある。電池把持治具121は,単電池20を把持するためのツメ123とツメ124とを有している。そして,図5に示すように,電池把持治具121は,単電池20における上部の位置を把持するようになっている。また,図4中の一点鎖線Taは,電池把持治具121に把持された単電池20の中心点Aが,回転テーブル120の回転とともに描く軌跡Taである。さらに,電池把持治具121は,単電池20を,中心点Aにおける軌跡Taの接線に対し挿入面21が平行になるように把持する。
 ここにおいて,回転テーブル120の下面には,図4および図5に示すように,カム溝122が形成されている。カム溝122は,電池把持治具121が対面領域内にある間において,可動ガイド163に後述する押し付け動作を行わせるためのものである。
 回転テーブル130は,図4に示すように,その外周に枠体30を把持するための枠体把持治具131を2個有している。2個の枠体把持治具131は,点Cbを中心として互いに対極となる位置にある。枠体把持治具131は,枠体30を把持するためのツメ133とツメ134とを有している。そして,図5に示すように,枠体把持治具131は,枠体30における上部の位置を把持するようになっている。また,図4中の一点鎖線Tbは,枠体把持治具131に把持された枠体30の中心点Bが,回転テーブル130の回転とともに描く軌跡Tbである。さらに,枠体把持治具131は,枠体30を,中心点Bにおける軌跡Tbの接線に対し底面31が平行になるように把持する。
 ここにおいて,回転テーブル120の角速度と回転テーブル130の角速度との比は,それぞれが有する把持治具の個数の逆数の比である。つまり,本形態においては,電池把持治具121と枠体把持治具131との個数が同じであるため,回転テーブル120と回転テーブル130とは同じ角速度で回転する。
 また,図4に示すように,本形態においては,軌跡Taの直径が軌跡Tbの直径よりも大きくなっている。そして,回転テーブル120および回転テーブル130が回転する際における,それぞれ外周の任意の点が移動する速度を周速ということとする。これより,回転テーブル120の周速は,回転テーブル130の周速よりも速いこととなる。また,回転テーブル120の外周に位置する電池把持治具121および単電池20が回転する速度は,回転テーブル130の外周に位置する枠体把持治具131および枠体30が回転する速度よりも速いこととなる。さらに,回転テーブル120および回転テーブル130は,電池把持治具121と枠体把持治具131とが,対面位置で毎回対面するように位相を合わせて回転する。
 電池供給マガジン140は,単電池20を回転テーブル120に供給するためのものである。電池供給マガジン140には,複数の単電池20が一列に並べて配置されている。さらに,各単電池20の挿入面21は,軌跡Taの径方向外側に向いている。ここで,点Caを中心として,対面位置と対極となる位置を,単電池20の供給位置とする。これより,電池供給マガジン140に配列された単電池20の挿入面21は,単電池20の供給位置における軌跡Taの接線に対し平行となっている。そして,電池供給マガジン140は,回転テーブル120の回転により単電池20の供給位置へ到達する電池把持治具121に対し,回転テーブル120に最も近い単電池20(先頭の単電池20)を供給するのである。
 枠体供給マガジン150は,枠体30を回転テーブル130に供給するためのものである。枠体供給マガジン150には,複数の枠体30が一列に並べて配置されている。さらに,各枠体30の底面31は,軌跡Tbの径方向外側に向いている。ここで,点Cbを中心として,対面位置と対極となる位置を,枠体30の供給位置とする。これより,枠体供給マガジン150に配列された枠体30の底面31は,枠体30の供給位置における軌跡Tbの接線に対し平行となっている。そして,枠体供給マガジン150は,回転テーブル130の回転により枠体30の供給位置へ到達する枠体把持治具131に対し,回転テーブル130に最も近い枠体30(先頭の枠体30)を供給するのである。
 コンベア160は,組付けられた単電池20と枠体30と(つまり,電池組付け体)を,対面位置より図4において下向きに移送するためのものである。コンベア160は,電池組付け体をガイドするための,固定された固定ガイド161および固定ガイド162と,可動である可動ガイド163とを有している。固定ガイド161は,コンベア160の回転テーブル130側に配置されている。固定ガイド162および可動ガイド163は,コンベア160の回転テーブル120側に配置されている。図5に示すように,固定ガイド161および可動ガイド163の高さは,回転テーブル120および回転テーブル130と干渉しないような高さとなっている。また,固定ガイド162の高さは,固定ガイド161および可動ガイド163の高さと同等である。
 さらに,可動ガイド163は,図4に示すように,支点164とカムフォロア165を有している。そして,図5に示すように,カムフォロア165は,回転テーブル120のカム溝122に挿入されている。これにより,可動ガイド163は,電池把持治具121が対面領域内にある間において,支点164を支点とし,カムフォロア165がカム溝122にならって動作することで押し付け動作を行うのである。
 次いで,組付け装置100による,単電池20と枠体30との組付けについて説明する。図4において,回転テーブル120の有する電池把持治具121のうち一方は,単電池20の供給位置にある。この位置において,電池把持治具121は,電池供給マガジン140に配置された単電池20のうち,先頭の単電池20を把持する。把持された単電池20はその後,その中心点Aが軌跡Taを描くように反時計回りに回転していく。
 また,回転テーブル120の有する電池把持治具121のうちもう一方は,対面位置にある。対面位置にある電池把持治具121は,単電池20の供給位置において先頭の単電池20を把持し,180°反時計回りに回転してきたものである。
 回転テーブル130の有する枠体把持治具131のうち一方は,枠体30の供給位置にある。この位置において,枠体把持治具131は,枠体供給マガジン150に配置された枠体30のうち,先頭の枠体30を把持する。把持された枠体30はその後,その中心点Bが軌跡Tbを描くように時計回りに回転していく。
 また,回転テーブル130の有する枠体把持治具131のうちもう一方は,対面位置にある。対面位置にある枠体把持治具131は,枠体30の供給位置において先頭の枠体30を把持し,180°時計回りに回転してきたものである。そして,対面位置において,単電池20と枠体30とは対面している。
 しかし,図4に示すように,対面位置における単電池20と枠体30との組付けは,まだ完了している訳ではない。単電池20と枠体30との組付けが完了した状態とは,挿入面21と底面31とが密着し,被固定部24と固定部34とが係止した状態である。対面位置における単電池20と枠体30とは,挿入面21と底面31とを平行に向かい合わせた状態で正対している。しかし,挿入面21と底面31との間には,隙間Gが存在しているのである。枠体30の深さが,単電池20と枠体30とを回転させるだけでは,単電池20を枠体30の奥まで組付けることができない深さだからである。これにより,軌跡Taと軌跡Tbとは,隙間Gの分離れている。また,対面位置において,単電池20と枠体30とは,それぞれの把持治具から外れるとともにコンベア160により,図4において下向きに移送される。
 図6は,可動ガイド163の動作を説明するための図である。また,図6におけるカム溝122および可動ガイド163は,図4と同様に,電池把持治具121と枠体把持治具131とが対面位置にあるときのものである。そして,このときの可動ガイド163は,固定ガイド161から最も離れた位置にある。
 図6に示すように,カム溝122は,カムフォロア165の外径とほぼ同じ幅の溝であり,その溝が環状につながったものである。カム溝122は,θ1,θ2,θ3の区間においてそれぞれ異なる形状をしている。また,区間θ1,θ2,θ3の角度の和は180°である。さらに,カム溝122は,180°毎に同じ形状となっている。そして,区間θ3におけるカム溝122は円弧形状である。すなわち,区間θ3において,カム溝122は,点Caとの距離が一定である。一方,区間θ1および区間θ2におけるカム溝122は,区間θ3よりも回転テーブル120の径方向外向きに張り出した形状である。そして,θ1の区間とθ2の区間との境目において,カム溝122は,点Caから最も遠くなっている。
 カム溝122は,回転テーブル120とともに回転する。そして,可動ガイド163の有するカムフォロア165は,カム溝122に挿入されている。よって,可動ガイド163は,カムフォロア165がカム溝122の回転とともにこれに沿って動作することにより,支点164を支点として揺動するのである。
 詳細には,電池把持治具121が対面位置に到達するより前の時点では,カムフォロア165がカム溝122の区間θ3の中にある。このため可動ガイド163は,固定ガイド161から最も離れた位置にある。つまり,区間θ3におけるカム溝122は,可動ガイド163を,非押し付け状態とするのである。この状態が,可動ガイド163の通常状態である。また,電池把持治具121が対面領域外にある間,可動ガイド163は通常状態である。
 そして,電池把持治具121が対面位置に到達した後の対面領域内にある時点では,カムフォロア165がカム溝122の区間θ1の中にある。このため可動ガイド163は,単電池20を,固定ガイド161に向かって押し付け動作を行う。これにより,単電池20と枠体30とは,固定ガイド161と可動ガイド163とに挟み込まれる。そして,電池把持治具121が対面位置に到達した後,対面領域の分を回転した時点では,カムフォロア165がカム溝122の区間θ1と区間θ2との境目にある。このため可動ガイド163は,単電池20を,単電池20と枠体30との組付けが完了する位置まで押し付け動作を行うようになっている。さらに,電池把持治具121が対面領域を通過した後の時点では,カムフォロア165がカム溝122の区間θ2の中にある。このため可動ガイド163は,通常状態に戻ることとなる。
 ここにおいて,図7に示すように,可動ガイド163は,単電池20を押し付ける面において,複数のローラ166を有していてもよい。可動ガイド163が押し付け動作を行う際に,単電池20の損傷を低減することができるからである。
 また,対面位置において,単電池20と枠体30とは,それぞれの把持治具より外れるとともに,コンベア160により図6において下方きに移送される。そして,コンベア160が単電池20と枠体30とを移送する速度は,可動ガイド163が押し付け動作を行う間,単電池20と枠体30とが,固定ガイド162と可動ガイド163との境目に到達しない速度となっている。よって,単電池20と枠体30とは,コンベア160により移送されつつ可動ガイド163の押し付け動作を受けることにより,その組付けが完了するのである。
 また,電池把持治具121の一方が対面位置にあるとき,もう一方の電池把持治具121は単電池20の供給位置にあり,先頭の単電池20を把持している。また,枠体把持治具131の一方が対面位置にあるとき,もう一方の枠体把持治具131は枠体30の供給位置にあり,先頭の枠体30を把持している。よって,回転テーブル120と回転テーブル130とは,その後も回転し続けることにより,次の単電池20と枠体30との組付けを行う。このように,回転テーブル120と回転テーブル130とは,連続して回転することにより,単電池20と枠体30とを連続して組付けることができる。
 ところで,本形態においては,軌跡Taの直径が軌跡Tbの直径よりも大きいことが好ましい。以下,その理由を説明する。図8は,軌跡Taの直径と軌跡Tbの直径とが同じである場合を示す図である。これに対し,図9は,本形態のように,軌跡Taの直径が軌跡Tbの直径よりも大きい場合を示す図である。図8および図9は,いずれにおいても,対面位置よりも少し前の位置にある単電池20と枠体30とを示している。ここにおいて,対面位置よりも少し前の位置とは,回転テーブル120および回転テーブル130の回転による進行方向に対し,それぞれ対面位置より少し上流側の位置である。そして,図8と図9とで異なるのは,軌跡Tbの直径のみである。
 図8において,単電池20は,その中心点Aと点Caとを結ぶ直線ACaと,点Caと点Cbとを結ぶ直線Cabとがなす角度がθ4となる位置にある。また,枠体30は,その中心点Bと点Cbとを結ぶ直線BCbと,直線Cabとがなす角度がθ5となる位置にある。前述したように,回転テーブル120と回転テーブル130とは,同じ角速度で回転している。また,電池把持治具121と枠体把持治具131とが,対面位置で毎回対面するように位相を合わせて回転している。よって,θ4とθ5とは同じ角度である。
 また,図9においても図8と同じく,単電池20は,直線ACaと直線Cabとがなす角度がθ4となる位置にある。また,枠体30においても,直線BCbと直線Cabとがなす角度がθ5となる位置にある。さらに,図9においても,回転テーブル120と回転テーブル130とは,同じ角速度で回転している。また,電池把持治具121と枠体把持治具131とが,対面位置で毎回対面するように位相を合わせて回転している。よって,θ4とθ5とは同じ角度である。
 図8において,単電池20と枠体30とは,Yで示す箇所において干渉している。これに対し,図9においては,単電池20と枠体30との干渉はなく,単電池20の一部が枠体30の内部に入り込んでいる。図9における単電池20と枠体30とに干渉がないことは,軌跡Taの直径が軌跡Tbの直径よりも大きいことに起因する。
 図8および図9において,直線ACaの長さ,すなわち軌跡Taの半径をRaとする。これより,対面位置と対面位置よりも少し前の位置にある単電池20の中心点Aとの,軌跡Ta上における距離Laは次に示す式(1)で表わされる。

また,直線BCbの長さ,すなわち軌跡Tbの半径をRbとする。これより,対面位置と対面位置よりも少し前の位置にある枠体30の中心点Bとの,軌跡Tb上における距離Lbは次に示す式(2)で表わされる。

ここで,式(1)と式(2)とにおいて,θ4とθ5とは異なる符号ではあるが,前述したように同じ角度である。
 そして,図8においては,軌跡Taの半径であるRaと軌跡Tbの半径であるRbとは同じである。これより,式(1)で表わされる距離Laと,式(2)で表わされる距離Lbとは等しい。よって,図8では,単電池20と枠体30とが,Yで示す箇所において干渉している。すなわち,単電池20のその回転方向における前方側の部分と,枠体30のその回転方向における前方側の部分とが干渉しているのである。
 これに対し,図9においては,軌跡Taの半径であるRaが,軌跡Tbの半径であるRbよりも大きい。これより,式(1)で表わされる距離Laが,式(2)で表わされる距離Lbより長い。つまり,単電池20と枠体30とが対面位置より少し前の位置にある間において,距離Laは距離Lbより常に長いのである。よって,図9に示すように,単電池20の少なくとも一部が枠体30の内部に入り込んでいるときには,枠体30に対し単電池20がおおむね上方向にズレるため干渉しないのである。
 図9においてはその後,単電池20と枠体30とが,対面位置に近づくにつれその挿入面21と底面31とを平行に向かい合わせつつ前述したズレは小さくなる。単電池20が軌跡Ta上を回転する速度が,枠体30が軌跡Tb上を回転する速度よりも速いからである。これにより,単電池20は,枠体30に追いつきながら組付けられるのである。よって,組付け装置100においては,枠体30の寸法の余裕が,その内部に収容する単電池20に対して小さい場合であっても,対面位置において干渉なく組付けることができるのである。なお,図8においても,枠体30はある程度の柔軟性を有するため,組付けできないわけではない。
 以上,詳細に説明したように,本形態の組付け装置100は,回転テーブル120と回転テーブル130とが,電池把持治具121と枠体把持治具131とを,対面位置で毎回対面するように互いに順方向回りに回転する。また,電池把持治具121に,単電池20を,対面位置とは異なる単電池20の供給位置で供給する。さらに,枠体把持治具131に,枠体30を,対面位置とは異なる枠体30の供給位置で供給する。加えて,電池組付け体を,コンベア160により順次搬出することができる。よって,本形態の組付け装置100は,単電池20と枠体30との供給,組付け,搬出の動作を高速で連続的に行うことができる。
 また,本形態の組付け装置100において,回転テーブル120が回転するとともに単電池20の中心点Aが描く軌跡Taの直径が,回転テーブル130が回転するとともに枠体30の中心点Bが描く軌跡Tbの直径よりも大きい。これにより,単電池20と枠体30とを,干渉することなく高精度に組付けることができる。さらに,単電池20および枠体30の損傷による生産不良を低減することができる。加えて,単電池20および枠体30が,それぞれの把持治具から脱落することなどによる設備停止を低減することができる。従って,単電池20とその単電池20を収容する枠体30とを高精度に組付けることができ,さらに生産性の高い電池組付け装置および電池組付け体の製造方法が実現されている。
 なお,本実施の形態は単なる例示に過ぎず,本発明を何ら限定するものではない。従って本発明は当然に,その要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々の改良,変形が可能である。例えば,本形態においては,電池把持治具121および枠体把持治具131がそれぞれ2個ある構成として説明したが,これに限るものではない。例えば,電池把持治具121および枠体把持治具131がそれぞれ4個ある構成であってもよい。なお,この構成においては,電池把持治具121および枠体把持治具131を,それぞれの回転テーブルに配置する際の角度が90°となるようにすればよい。
 また例えば,本形態においては,回転テーブル120および回転テーブル130が,同じ角速度で回転する構成について説明した。しかし,例えば,回転テーブル120と回転テーブル130とを,その回転する角速度の比が3:2となるように回転させる構成であってもよい。なお,この構成においては,回転テーブル120には外周において2個の電池把持治具121を等角度に配置し,回転テーブル130には外周において3個の枠体把持治具131を等角度に配置し,さらに回転テーブル120および回転テーブル130が,電池把持治具121と枠体把持治具131とを,対面位置で毎回対面するような位相で回転させればよい。加えて,このような構成においては,軌跡Taの直径と軌跡Tbの直径とが同じであっても,図9において前述したものと同様に干渉を回避することができる。すなわち,単電池20と枠体30との,対面位置より少し前の位置における干渉を回避することができるのである。なぜなら,回転テーブルの角速度の比により,単電池20と枠体30とが回転する速度に差ができるからである。
 また例えば,本形態においては,回転テーブル120に形成されたカム溝122により,可動ガイド163に押し付け動作を行わせているが,これに限るものではない。回転テーブル130にカム溝122に相当するものを形成し,これにより可動ガイド163に押し付け動作を行わせてもよい。
 また例えば,本形態においては,単電池20を,枠体30に向かって押し付ける構成について説明した。しかし,枠体30を,単電池20に向かって押し付ける構成であってもよい。このような構成としては,回転テーブル130には,カム溝122に相当するものが形成されており,コンベア160が,可動ガイド163に相当するものを回転テーブル130側に有する構成が挙げられる。
[第2の形態]
 第2の形態について説明する。本形態に係る単電池20,枠体30は,第1の形態と同様である。本形態は,電池把持治具が逃げ機構を有している点において第1の形態と異なる。
 図10は,本形態の組付け装置200のうち,電池把持治具221を説明するための図である。本形態において,第1の形態と異なるのは電池把持治具221のみである。よって,回転テーブル130,電池供給マガジン140,枠体供給マガジン150,コンベア160の構成は,第1の形態と同じである。
 図10に示すように,本形態の回転テーブル220は,第1の形態と異なる電池把持治具221を有している。電池把持治具221は,単電池20を把持するためのツメ123とツメ224とを有している。さらに,電池把持治具221は,ツメ224をツメ123に近接する向きに付勢するスプリング225と,スプリング225の付勢によるツメ224の動きの限界を規定するツメ規制部226とを有している。スプリング225は,ツメ224がツメ規制部226より離れる向きに縮むことができる圧縮バネである。よって,ツメ224は,ツメ規制部226より離れる向きに力が加わった場合において,スプリング225を縮ませることによりその力に応じた動作が可能である。また,回転テーブル220には,第1の形態と同様の,カム溝122が形成されている。
 スプリング225は,ツメ224と単電池20との干渉を避けるためのものである。図11は,対面位置を少し通過した位置にある電池把持治具221および枠体把持治具131と,そのときにおける単電池20および枠体30とを示した図である。詳細には,電池把持治具221および枠体把持治具131が,回転テーブル220および回転テーブル130の回転による進行方向に対し,それぞれ対面位置より角度θ6の分下流側の位置にあるときを示したものである。
 図11において,単電池20と枠体30とは,組付き始めているが,まだ組付きが完了していない状態である。また,単電池20と枠体30とが,コンベア160により図11中下向きに移送されている途中である。対面位置を通過しているからである。さらに,組付けられた単電池20と枠体30とはそれぞれ,電池把持治具221および枠体把持治具131のツメにまだ接触している状態である。
 図11において,実線で示したツメ224は,スプリング225が縮んだ状態である。また,二点鎖線で示したツメ224は,スプリング225が縮む前のツメ224である。そして,二点鎖線で示したツメ224と単電池20とは,一部重なっている。すなわち,図11に示す状態において,ツメ224が固定であるとした場合,ツメ224と単電池20とは干渉することになるのである。これは,電池把持治具221の回転する速度が,枠体把持治具131の回転する速度よりも速いため,この速度の差の分ツメ224がツメ133に追いつくからである。そして,ツメ224とツメ133との間隔が,単電池20および枠体30の図11における縦方向の長さよりも狭くなるためである。
 以上のように,回転速度の差により干渉が発生する場合において,これを吸収することができる逃げ機構を設けることにより,干渉を回避することができる。従って,本形態においては,第1の形態と比較して,さらに単電池20および枠体30の損傷による生産不良を低減することができる。
 なお,本実施の形態は単なる例示に過ぎず,本発明を何ら限定するものではない。従って本発明は当然に,その要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々の改良,変形が可能である。例えば,本形態においては,ツメ224に逃げ機構を設けたが,これに限るものではない。電池把持治具の回転方向における後方側のツメ,または枠体把持治具の回転方向における前方側のツメのうち,少なくとも一方が逃げ機構を有していれば良い。すなわち,ツメ224に逃げ機構を設けるかわりに,ツメ133に逃げ機構を設けてもよい。つまり,図12に示す枠体把持治具231のような構成である。
 図12に示す枠体把持治具231は,枠体30を把持するためのツメ233とツメ134とを有している。さらに,枠体把持治具231は,ツメ233をツメ134に近接する向きに付勢するスプリング235と,スプリング235の付勢によるツメ233の動きの限界を規定するツメ規制部236とを有している。スプリング235は,ツメ233がツメ規制部236より離れる向きに縮むことができる圧縮バネである。よって,ツメ233は,ツメ規制部236より離れる向きに力が加わった場合において,スプリング235を縮ませることによりその力に応じた動作が可能である。このような構成であっても,図10に示す構成と同様の効果を得ることができるのである。
 また,電池把持治具の回転方向における後方側のツメ,および枠体把持治具の回転方向における前方側のツメの両方が逃げ機構を有していてもよい。なお,これらのような逃げ機構を有さない構成であっても,必ずしも単電池20および枠体30が損傷するというわけではない。枠体30は,ある程度の柔軟性を有するからである。
[第3の形態]
 第3の形態について説明する。本形態に係る単電池20,枠体30は,第1の形態と同様である。本形態は,枠体把持治具が,枠体30を,その下端が上端よりも回転径方向外側に出っ張るように傾斜させて把持する点において第1の形態と異なる。
 図13は,本形態の組付け装置300の対面位置における断面図である。図13は,第1の形態における図5に相当する。組付け装置300は,回転テーブル320,回転テーブル330,電池供給マガジン140,枠体供給マガジン350,コンベア360を有している。本形態において,電池供給マガジン140の構成は,第1の形態と同じである。
 回転テーブル320は,第1の形態と同じ電池把持治具121を有している。しかし,回転テーブル320には,第1の形態と異なり,カム溝122に相当するものが形成されていない。
 そして,図13に示すように,枠体把持治具331は,枠体30を,その下端が上端よりも回転テーブル330の径方向外側に出っ張るように傾斜させて把持している。そして,その傾斜角は,単電池20の挿入面21と枠体30の底面31とがθ7となる角度である。そして,枠体30に係る構成,すなわち,回転テーブル330,枠体供給マガジン350は,枠体30と対応し,角度θ7の分傾いている。
 さらに,コンベア360についても,枠体30と対応し,角度θ7の分傾いている。また,コンベア360は,固定された固定ガイド361および固定ガイド362を有している。しかし,コンベア360は,第1の形態と異なり,可動ガイド163に相当するものを有していない。これに伴い,固定ガイド362は,可動ガイド163の長さの分,固定ガイド162より長くされている。
 そして,本形態においても,組付け装置300による単電池20および枠体30の供給位置から対面位置までの動作は同じである。すなわち,電池把持治具121は,単電池20の供給位置において単電池20を把持する。そして,回転テーブル320は,その状態で回転する。また,枠体把持治具331は,枠体30の供給位置において枠体30を角度θ7の分傾斜させて把持する。そして,回転テーブル330は,その状態で回転する。
 よって,対面位置における枠体30は,単電池20に対し,開放面が斜め上を向くように角度θ7の分傾斜している。そして,対面位置における単電池20と枠体30との関係は,電池把持治具121に保持された単電池20が,その重さにより枠体30に入るようになっている。すなわち,図13を上から見た際に,対面位置における単電池20の重心である中心点Aは,枠体30の内側にあるのである(図14参照)。また,対面位置において,単電池20と枠体30とは,それぞれの把持治具より外れる。よって,単電池20は,枠体30にならい,単電池20の重さにより枠体30に入り込む。さらに,単電池20の重さにより,固定部34と被固定部24とを係止することにより組付けられる。また,組付けられた単電池20と枠体30とは,コンベア360により,角度θ7の分傾斜したまま移送される。
 よって,本形態においては,単電池20の重さにより,単電池20と枠体30とを組付けることができる。これにより,単電池20を枠体30に押し付けるための構成,すなわち,可動ガイドやこれを動作させるカム溝を必要としない。さらに,組付けられた単電池20と枠体30とが外れるおそれがない。単電池20の重さが,常に枠体30の内部に向かうようにかかっているからである。
 ところで,第1の形態においては,単電池20が枠体30に入り込む際,最初に単電池20の挿入面21が枠体30の内部に入り込むこととなる。単電池20の挿入面21と枠体30の底面31とが常に平行だからである。しかし,枠体30の寸法は,その内部に収容する単電池20に対して,あまり余裕があるわけではない。よって,単電池20と枠体30との位置決めにおいて,かなり高い精度が要求されることとなる。
 これに対し,本形態においては,単電池20が枠体30に入り込む際,最初に単電池20の挿入面21と下面とで構成される角の部分のみが枠体30の内部に入り込むこととなる。すなわち,単電池20が枠体30に入り込む際,単電池20のうち最初に入り込む部分が線に近くなっているのである。単電池20の挿入面21に対し,枠体30の底面31が角度θ7の分傾斜しているからである。これにより,回転テーブル320と回転テーブル330との回転軸の平行性や,単電池20が枠体30に入り込む際の重力が作用する方向の位置に,多少のズレが生じている場合においても組付けを好適に行うことができる。よって,これらの厳密な位置合わせをそれほど必要としない。従って,本形態の組付け装置300は,第1の形態と比較して安価である。
 なお,本実施の形態は単なる例示に過ぎず,本発明を何ら限定するものではない。従って本発明は当然に,その要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々の改良,変形が可能である。例えば,本形態においては,枠体30のみを傾斜させているが,これに限るものではない。単電池20が,その重さにより枠体30の内部に入り込めば良く,単電池20も傾斜させていてもよい。
 また例えば,本形態においては,単電池20の重さにより固定部34と被固定部24とを係止させている。しかし,単電池20の重さが固定部34と被固定部24とを係止させる力に足りない場合,第1の形態と同様に可動ガイドを設けてもよい。
[第4の形態]
 第4の形態について説明する。本形態に係る単電池20,枠体30は,第1の形態と同様である。本形態は,対面位置において,軌跡Taと軌跡Tbとが接している点において第1の形態と異なる。すなわち,本形態では,対面位置において単電池20と枠体30との組付けが完了するのである。
 図15は,本形態の組付け装置400の平面図である。組付け装置400は,回転テーブル420,回転テーブル430,電池供給マガジン140,枠体供給マガジン150,コンベア460を備えている。
 回転テーブル420は,第1の形態と異なる電池把持治具421を有している。電池把持治具421は,支点426,スプリング427,規制部428を有している。支点426は,電池把持治具421の,回転テーブル420の回転による進行方向の前方側に設けられている。スプリング427は,電池把持治具421の,回転テーブル420の回転による進行方向の後方側を付勢する圧縮バネである。また,スプリング427が電池把持治具421を付勢する向きは,回転テーブル420の径方向外向きである。規制部428は,スプリング427の付勢による電池把持治具421の動きの限界を規定するためのものである。これにより,通常状態の電池把持治具421は,スプリング427の付勢を受けつつ,規制部428に当たる姿勢となる位置にある。また,通常状態の電池把持治具421は,第1の形態に対し角度θ8の分傾いている。そして,その傾きの方向は,電池把持治具421の回転方向における後方側の端部が前方側の端部より,軌跡Taの径方向外側に出っ張る方向である。
 ここで,第1の形態の電池把持治具121は,単電池20を,中心点Aにおける軌跡Taの接線に対し,挿入面21を平行にして把持している。これに対し,本形態の通常状態の電池把持治具421は,単電池20を,中心点Aにおける軌跡Taの接線に対し,挿入面21を角度θ8の分傾けた姿勢にして把持する。そして,その傾きの方向は,単電池20の回転方向における後方側の端部が前方側の端部より,軌跡Taの径方向外側に出っ張る方向である。また,電池把持治具421は,スプリング427を圧縮する方向に力が加わった場合において,スプリング427を縮ませることで,支点426を支点として揺動することができる。そして,回転テーブル420には,第1の形態と異なり,カム溝122に相当するものが形成されていない。
 回転テーブル430は,第1の形態と異なる枠体把持治具431を有している。枠体把持治具431は,支点436,スプリング437,規制部438を有している。支点436は,枠体把持治具431の,回転テーブル430の回転による進行方向の前方側に設けられている。スプリング437は,枠体把持治具431の,回転テーブル430の回転による進行方向の後方側を付勢する圧縮バネである。また,スプリング437が枠体把持治具431を付勢する向きは,回転テーブル430の径方向外向きである。規制部438は,スプリング437の付勢による枠体把持治具431の動きの限界を規定するためのものである。これにより,通常状態の枠体把持治具431は,スプリング437の付勢を受けつつ,規制部438に当たる姿勢となる位置にある。また,通常状態の枠体把持治具431は,第1の形態に対し角度θ8の分傾いている。そして,その傾きの方向は,枠体把持治具431の回転方向における後方側の端部が前方側の端部より,軌跡Tbの径方向外側に出っ張る方向である。
 ここで,第1の形態の枠体把持治具131は,枠体30を,中心点Bにおける軌跡Tbの接線に対し,底面31を平行にして把持している。これに対し,本形態の通常状態の枠体把持治具431は,枠体30を,中心点Bにおける軌跡Tbの接線に対し,底面31を角度θ8の分傾けた姿勢にして把持する。そして,その傾きの方向は,底面31の回転方向における後方側の端部が前方側の端部より,軌跡Tbの径方向外側に出っ張る方向である。また,枠体把持治具431は,スプリング437を圧縮する方向に力が加わった場合において,スプリング437を縮ませることで,支点436を支点として揺動することができる。
 電池供給マガジン140の構成は,第1の形態と同じである。しかし,単電池20を回転テーブル420に供給する際,単電池20の供給位置における軌跡Taの接線に対し,挿入面21を角度θ8の分傾けた姿勢にして供給する。そして,その傾きの方向は,単電池20の回転方向における後方側の端部が前方側の端部より,軌跡Taの径方向外側に出っ張る方向である。
 枠体供給マガジン150の構成は,第1の形態と同じである。しかし,枠体30を回転テーブル430に供給する際,枠体30の供給位置における軌跡Tbの接線に対し,底面31を角度θ8の分傾けた姿勢にして供給する。そして,その傾きの方向は,枠体30の回転方向における後方側の端部が前方側の端部より,軌跡Tbの径方向外側に出っ張る方向である。
 コンベア460は,固定された固定ガイド461および固定ガイド462を有している。しかし,コンベア460は,第1の形態と異なり,可動ガイド163に相当するものを有していない。これに伴い,固定ガイド462は,可動ガイド163の長さの分,固定ガイド162より長くされている。 
 なお,本形態においては,軌跡Taの直径と軌跡Tbの直径とは同じである。そして,本形態においても,電池把持治具421と枠体把持治具431との個数が同じである。これにより,回転テーブル420と回転テーブル430とは同じ角速度で回転する。よって,回転テーブル420の周速と,回転テーブル430の周速とは同じとなる。また,回転テーブル420の外周に位置する電池把持治具421および単電池20が回転する速度と,回転テーブル430の外周に位置する枠体把持治具431および枠体30が回転する速度とは同じである。
 また,本形態において,軌跡Taと軌跡Tbとは,回転テーブル420と回転テーブル430との対面位置Zにおいて接している。つまり,単電池20の中心点Aと枠体30の中心点Bとは,対面位置Zで重なるのである。すなわち,本形態では,単電池20と枠体30との組付けが,対面位置Zにおいて完了することとなる。
 電池把持治具421は,単電池20を,その回転方向における後方側の端部が前方側の端部よりも軌跡Taの径方向外側に出っ張るように,角度θ8の分傾けて保持する。そして,回転テーブル420は,その状態で回転する。また,枠体把持治具431は,枠体30を,その回転方向における後方側の端部が前方側の端部よりも軌跡Tbの径方向外側に出っ張るように,角度θ8の分傾けて保持する。そして,回転テーブル430は,その状態で回転する。これにより,図15に示すように,単電池20と枠体30とは,回転テーブル420および回転テーブル430の回転による進行方向に対し,対面位置Zより角度θ8の分上流側の位置において正対することとなる。
 図16は,単電池20と枠体30との,これらが正対する正対位置から対面位置Zまでを説明するための図である。図16に示すように,単電池20と枠体30とは,正対位置において正対する。ただしこの時点では,まだ単電池20と枠体30との組付けは完了していない。そして,単電池20と枠体30との組付けは,対面位置Zにおいて完了する。つまり,単電池20と枠体30とは,対面位置Zにおいても正対している必要がある。よって,正対位置から対面位置Zまでの間,挿入面21と底面31との平行性を保つ必要があるのである。
 よって,正対位置から対面位置Zまでの間,電池把持治具421は,支点426を支点とし,スプリング427を縮ませつつ揺動する。また同時に,枠体把持治具431は,支点436を支点とし,スプリング437を縮ませつつ揺動する。これにより,電池把持治具421と枠体把持治具431とは,単電池20と枠体30とを,挿入面21と底面31との平行性を保ちつつ回転させる。つまり,相対的には,単電池20と枠体30とは,挿入面21と底面31の平行性を保ちつつ接近することとなる。よって,単電池20と枠体30とは,対面位置Zにおいて組付けが完了するのである。
 そして,対面位置Zにおいて,単電池20と枠体30とはそれぞれの把持治具より外れるとともに,コンベア460により図15において下向きに移送される。その後,対面位置Zを通過した電池把持治具421および枠体把持治具431は,それぞれスプリング427およびスプリング437の付勢により,通常状態に戻ることとなる。 
 以上,詳細に説明したように,本形態の組付け装置400においても,単電池20とその単電池20を収容する枠体30とを高精度に組付けることができ,さらに生産性の高い電池組付け装置および電池組付け体の製造方法が実現されている。
 なお,本実施の形態は単なる例示に過ぎず,本発明を何ら限定するものではない。従って本発明は当然に,その要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々の改良,変形が可能である。例えば,本形態においては,軌跡Taの直径と軌跡Tbの直径とが同じ構成について説明したが,これに限るものではない。他の形態と同様に,軌跡Taの直径が,軌跡Tbの直径より大きい構成としてもよい。

Claims (8)

  1. 電池とその電池を収容する枠体との組付けを行う電池組付け装置において,
     外周の1箇所同士が互いに対面し,互いに順方向回りに回転する第1および第2の回転テーブルと,
     前記第1の回転テーブルの外周に設けられ電池を把持する電池把持部と,
     前記第2の回転テーブルの外周に設けられ枠体を把持する枠体把持部と,
     前記電池把持部に対して前記第1および第2の回転テーブルの対面位置以外の位置で電池を供給する電池供給部と,
     前記枠体把持部に対して前記対面位置以外の位置で枠体を供給する枠体供給部と,
     前記電池と前記枠体とが組付けられた組付け体を前記対面位置から搬出する搬出部とを有し,
     前記第1および第2の回転テーブルは,前記電池把持部と前記枠体把持部とが,前記対面位置で毎回対面する回転速度比および位相関係で回転するものであることを特徴とする電池組付け装置。
  2. 請求項1に記載の電池組付け装置において,
     前記第1の回転テーブルの周速が前記第2の回転テーブルの周速より早いことを特徴とする電池組付け装置。
  3. 請求項2に記載の電池組付け装置において,前記電池把持部は,
     固定して設けられ,電池における,前記第1の回転テーブルの回転による進行方向の前方側の端部を把持する第1把持ツメと,
     可動に設けられ,電池における,前記第1の回転テーブルの回転による進行方向の後方側の端部を把持する第2把持ツメと,
     前記第2把持ツメを前記第1把持ツメに近接する向きに付勢する付勢部材と,
     前記付勢部材の付勢による前記第2把持ツメの動きの範囲を規定する規制部とを有することを特徴とする電池組付け装置。
  4. 請求項2または請求項3に記載の電池組付け装置において,前記枠体把持部は,
     固定して設けられ,枠体における,前記第2の回転テーブルの回転による進行方向の後方側の端部を把持する第1把持ツメと,
     可動に設けられ,枠体における,前記第2の回転テーブルの回転による進行方向の前方側の端部を把持する第2把持ツメと,
     前記第2把持ツメを前記第1把持ツメに近接する向きに付勢する付勢部材と,
     前記付勢部材の付勢による前記第2把持ツメの動きの限界を規定する規制部とを有することを特徴とする電池組付け装置。
  5. 請求項1から請求項4のいずれかに記載の電池組付け装置において,
     前記電池把持部に把持されている電池と前記枠体把持部に把持されている枠体とのうち少なくとも一方を,他方に向かって前記対面位置を含む領域である対面領域内にて押し付ける可動部を有し,
     前記第1および第2の回転テーブルの少なくとも一方には,
      前記電池把持部および前記枠体把持部が前記対面領域外にあるときには前記可動部を非押し付け状態とし,
      前記電池把持部および前記枠体把持部が前記対面領域内にあるときに前記可動部に押し付け動作を行わせる押し付け動作形状部が形成されていることを特徴とする電池組付け装置。
  6. 請求項1から請求項5のいずれかに記載の電池組付け装置において,
     前記第1および第2の回転テーブルが水平に設置されており,
     前記枠体把持部は,前記枠体を,その下端が上端よりも前記第2の回転テーブルの径方向外側に出っ張るように傾斜して把持するものであることを特徴とする電池組付け装置。
  7. 請求項1から請求項4のいずれかに記載の電池組付け装置において,
     前記電池把持部および前記枠体把持部はいずれも,前記第1または第2の回転テーブルの回転による進行方向の前方側の支軸を中心に前記第1および第2の回転テーブルの回転面内で揺動可能に設けられており,
     前記電池把持部における前記支軸よりも前記第1の回転テーブルの回転による進行方向後方側の位置を前記第1の回転テーブルの径方向外向きに付勢する電池把持部付勢部材と,
     前記電池把持部付勢部材の付勢による前記電池把持部の動きの限界を規定する電池把持部規制部と,
     前記枠体把持部における前記支軸よりも前記第2の回転テーブルの回転による進行方向後方側の位置を前記第2の回転テーブルの径方向外向きに付勢する枠体把持部付勢部材と,
     前記枠体把持部付勢部材の付勢による前記枠体把持部の動きの限界を規定する枠体把持部規制部とを有することを特徴とする電池組付け装置。
  8. 電池とその電池を収容する枠体とを組付けてなる電池組付け体の製造方法において,
     第1および第2の回転テーブルを,外周の1箇所同士が互いに対面し,互いに順方向回りとなるように回転させ,
     前記電池を,前記第1の回転テーブルの外周に設けられた電池把持部に,前記第1および第2の回転テーブルの対面位置以外の位置で把持させ,
     前記枠体を,前記第2の回転テーブルの外周に設けられた枠体把持部に,前記対面位置以外の位置で把持させ,
     前記第1および第2の回転テーブルを,前記電池把持部と前記枠体把持部とが,前記対面位置で毎回対面する回転速度比および位相関係で回転させることを特徴とする電池組付け体の製造方法。
