往復駆動装置
 本発明は、被駆動部材を往復駆動する装置に関する。
 従来、この種の装置として、回転駆動源の回転運動を直線運動に変換する装置がある(例えば、特許文献1参照)。この特許文献1に記載のものでは、モータの駆動軸に対して同軸状に小径圧縮コイルばねが連結され、この小径圧縮コイルばねが大径圧縮コイルばねに挿入されている。小径圧縮コイルばねと大径圧縮コイルばねとの間には、それらコイルばねに接するように複数のボールが設けられている。そして、モータの駆動により小径圧縮コイルばねが回転させられると、小径圧縮コイルばねの軸線方向へ大径圧縮コイルばねが直線移動させられる。

 ところで、特許文献1に記載のものでは、小径圧縮コイルばねがモータの駆動軸と等しい速度で回転するため、小径圧縮コイルばねの回転トルクを大きくすることができず、ひいては大径圧縮コイルばねを往復駆動する力を大きくすることができない。ここで、モータの駆動軸と小径圧縮コイルばねとの間に減速機構を設けることも考えられるが、その場合には装置の大型化やコストの上昇を避けることができない。
 また、特許文献1に記載のものでは、小径圧縮コイルばねの軸線方向の延長上にモータが設けられているため、装置における小径圧縮コイルばねの軸線方向の寸法が大きくなるといった問題がある。
 本発明は、こうした実情に鑑みてなされたものであり、その主たる目的は、被駆動部材を往復駆動する装置において、簡易な構成により被駆動部材を往復駆動する力を増大させるとともに、装置における被駆動部材の軸線方向の寸法を縮小することにある。
 本発明は、上記課題を解決するために、以下の手段を採用した。

 上記構成によれば、モータの駆動軸が回転すると、その駆動軸と同軸状の外周面を有する駆動部材が、駆動軸と一体回転させられる。ここで、螺旋状部は、駆動部材の外径よりも広い間隔の隙間を形成しつつ螺旋状に延びている。そして、螺旋状部の隙間に駆動部材が挿入され、駆動部材の外周面が螺旋状部に接している。このため、螺旋状部の軸線方向ではなく径方向にモータが配置されることとなり、往復駆動装置における被駆動部材の軸線方向の寸法を縮小することができる。
 また、被駆動部材は、螺旋状部の軸線を中心として回転可能、且つ軸線の方向へ往復動可能に支持されている。このため、モータの駆動軸の回転に伴って駆動部材が回転させられ、駆動部材の外周面から螺旋状部に摩擦力が作用すると、螺旋状部が順次送り出されることとなる。したがって、被駆動部材は、螺旋状部の軸線を中心として回転させられつつ、その軸線の方向へ移動させられる。このとき、駆動部材(駆動軸)の回転は、駆動部材の径と螺旋状部の径とに応じた減速比で減速される。したがって、被駆動部材に生じる回転トルクをモータの回転トルクよりも増大させることができ、簡易な構成により被駆動部材を往復駆動する力を増大させることができる。
 第2の発明は、前記螺旋状部及び前記駆動部材の前記外周面に、互いに押し合う力を作用させる加力手段を備えるため、螺旋状部と駆動部材の外周面との間に作用する摩擦力を増大させることができる。したがって、螺旋状部と駆動部材の外周面との滑りを抑制することができ、駆動部材の回転トルクを螺旋状部に効率的に伝達することができる。
 具体的には、第3の発明のように、前記加力手段は、前記螺旋状部の一重を挟んで前記駆動部材と反対側の前記螺旋状部の前記隙間に挿入された後方部と、前記螺旋状部の一重が前記駆動部材の前記外周面に押し当てられるように前記後方部に力を加える加力部とを備えるといった構成を採用することができる。こうした構成によれば、螺旋状部の隙間のうち、螺旋状部の一重を挟んで駆動部材と反対側に後方部が挿入されている。そして、加力部により後方部に力が加えられ、螺旋状部の一重が駆動部材の外周面に押し当てられる。したがって、螺旋状部と駆動部材の外周面との間に作用する摩擦力を増大させることができる。
 さらに、第4の発明では、前記後方部は、前記螺旋状部に接する円筒状面を有しており、前記加力部によって前記円筒状面の軸線を中心として回転可能に支持されている。したがって、駆動部材により螺旋状部が順次送り出される際に、後方部を回転させることができ、螺旋状部と後方部との摩擦抵抗を減少させることができる。その結果、モータの駆動エネルギー損失を減少させることができる。
 また、具体的には、第5の発明のように、前記加力手段は、前記螺旋状部が前記駆動部材の前記外周面に押し当てられるように、前記被駆動部材を付勢する付勢部を備え、前記付勢部は前記被駆動部材と一体回転可能に支持されているといった構成を採用することができる。こうした構成によれば、付勢部により被駆動部材が付勢され、螺旋状部の一重が駆動部材の外周面に押し当てられる。したがって、螺旋状部と駆動部材の外周面との間に作用する摩擦力を増大させることができる。さらに、付勢部は被駆動部材と一体回転可能に支持されているため、被駆動部材が回転させられる際に、付勢部にねじれが生じることを抑制することができる。
 第6の発明は、前記被駆動部材に連結されるとともに、前記螺旋状部の前記軸線の方向へ往復動可能に支持された往復動部材と、前記往復動部材が前記螺旋状部の前記軸線の方向へ、所定位置よりも移動することを規制する第1規制部と、前記螺旋状部と前記駆動部材の前記外周面とが接した状態を維持しつつ、前記被駆動部材が所定回転量よりも回転することを規制する第2規制部と、を備える。
 上記構成によれば、被駆動部材に往復動部材が連結されており、往復動部材は、螺旋状部の軸線の方向へ往復動可能に支持されている。そして、第1規制部により、往復動部材が螺旋状部の軸線方向へ所定位置よりも移動することが規制される。
 ここで、被駆動部材が回転可能な状態で、往復動部材の移動が第1規制部により規制された場合には、往復動部材に連結された被駆動部材が、軸線方向への移動が規制された状態で回転するおそれがある。その場合、螺旋状部が駆動部材に対して移動することとなり、螺旋状部と駆動部材の外周面とが離れるおそれがある。そして、螺旋状部と駆動部材の外周面とが離れた状態では、駆動部材の回転を螺旋状部へ伝達することができない。
 この点、上記構成によれば、第2規制部によって、螺旋状部と駆動部材の外周面とが接した状態を維持しつつ、被駆動部材が所定回転量よりも回転することが規制される。例えば、往復動部材の移動が第1規制部によって規制されるよりも前に、被駆動部材の回転が第2規制部によって規制される。このため、往復動部材が所定位置よりも移動することを規制する第1規制部を備える場合であっても、螺旋状部と駆動部材の外周面とが離れることを抑制することができ、駆動部材から螺旋状部へ回転トルクを安定して伝達することができる。
 第7の発明では、前記第2規制部は、前記螺旋状部の前記軸線の方向へ前記螺旋状部に沿って延びるとともに、前記被駆動部材と一体回転可能に設けられており、前記被駆動部材が前記所定回転量だけ回転した場合に、前記駆動部材と前記第2規制部とが当たるように、前記駆動部材及び前記第2規制部が配置されている。
 上記構成によれば、第2規制部は、螺旋状部の軸線の方向へ螺旋状部に沿って延びるとともに、被駆動部材と一体回転可能に設けられている。このため、被駆動部材が回転させられることに伴って、第2規制部が被駆動部材と一体回転させられる。そして、被駆動部材が上記所定回転量だけ回転した場合に、駆動部材と第2規制部とが当たるように、駆動部材及び第2規制部が配置されている。このため、被駆動部材が回転しつつ軸線方向へ移動し、被駆動部材が上記所定回転量だけ回転した場合に、第2規制部が駆動部材に当たって被駆動部材の回転が規制される。したがって、簡易な構成により、螺旋状部と駆動部材の外周面とが接した状態を維持しつつ、被駆動部材が所定回転量よりも回転することを規制することができる。
 第8の発明では、前記駆動部材には括れ部が設けられており、前記括れ部の外周面と前記螺旋状部の一重の外周面とが線接触している。
 上記構成によれば、駆動部材の括れ部の外周面と螺旋状部の一重の外周面とは線接触しているため、駆動部材と螺旋状部の一重との間に作用する摩擦力を増大させることができ、駆動部材と螺旋状部の一重との滑りを抑制することができる。
 第9の発明では、前記駆動部材の前記外周面には、複数の歯が設けられており、前記螺旋状部において前記駆動部材の前記外周面と接する部分には、前記駆動部材の前記歯と噛み合う複数の歯が設けられている。
 上記構成によれば、駆動部材の外周面に設けられた歯が、螺旋状部において駆動部材の外周面と接する部分に設けられた歯と噛み合っている。このため、駆動部材の回転トルクを、螺旋状部に効率的に伝達することができる。その結果、被駆動部材に生じる回転トルクをより増大させることができ、被駆動部材を往復駆動する力をより増大させることができる。
 第10の発明では、前記螺旋状部の前記軸線と前記駆動軸の軸線とが直交しているため、螺旋状部の周方向に対して駆動軸の軸線、すなわち駆動部材の外周面の軸線が直交することとなる。このため、駆動部材の回転トルクが伝達される方向と、螺旋状部が送り出される方向とを一致させることができる。したがって、駆動部材の回転トルクを、螺旋状部に効率的に伝達することができる。
 第11の発明では、前記螺旋状部は、コイルばねにより形成されているといった構成を採用している。こうした構成によれば、安価なコイルばねにより螺旋状部を形成することができるとともに、被駆動部材から対象物へ力を作用させる際に、コイルばねの弾性力が対象物へ作用した状態にすることができる。したがって、被駆動部材から対象物へ弾性力を作用させる構成を採用しつつも、被駆動部材を往復駆動する力を増大させることができる。

 (第1実施形態)
 以下、第1実施形態について図面を参照しつつ説明する。本実施形態では、ベルトコンベア等に適用され、搬送されるワークをピストンの往復駆動により停止させるピストン装置として具体化している。
 図1は、本実施形態のピストン装置10を示す部分断面図である。同図に示すように、ピストン装置10は、ボディ11,ステッピングモータ20,シリンダ30,ピストン40,コイルばね50等を備えている。なお、図1の上下方向はピストン装置10が設置される場合の上下方向と一致しており、ピストン装置10はピストン40を上下方向へ往復駆動する。
 ボディ11は、金属材料等で円筒状に形成されている。ボディ11において、軸線方向の一端寄りの側部には開口部12が設けられており、軸線方向における他端にはシリンダ30が取り付けられている。開口部12には、開口部21aを有するブラケット21を介して、ステッピングモータ20(モータ)が取り付けられている。モータ20は、駆動軸22を有しており、ボディ11の軸線と駆動軸22の軸線とが垂直になるように、モータ20がボディ11に取り付けられている。駆動軸22は、ブラケット21の開口部21a及びボディ11の開口部12を通じて、ボディ11の外部から内部へ挿入されている。駆動軸22の先端には、駆動ローラ23が取り付けられている。駆動ローラ23(駆動部材)は、円柱状に形成されており、駆動軸22と一体回転する。駆動ローラ23の軸線は、駆動軸22の軸線と一致している。駆動ローラ23は、駆動軸22と同軸状の外周面を有している。
 シリンダ30は、金属材料等で円筒状に形成されている。シリンダ30の軸線は、上記ボディ11の軸線と一致している。シリンダ30の内部には、円柱状のピストン40が挿入されている。ピストン40(往復動部材)は、滑り軸受31によって、ボディ11の軸線方向へ往復動可能に支持されている。ピストン40の外周面には、その軸線方向へ延びるように平面部40aが設けられている。すなわち、ピストン40において、平面部40aが設けられた部分の断面形状は「D」字状になっている。ピストン40において、平面部40aが設けられた部分の外周には、断面形状が「D」字状の貫通孔を有する回り止め部材32が嵌合されている。回り止め部材32は、シリンダ30の上端に固定されている。したがって、ピストン40は、その軸線を中心とした回転が規制された状態で、軸線方向へ往復動可能となっている。
 ピストン40の下端部(モータ20に近い側の端部)には、スラスト軸受33及びラジアル軸受34を介して、コイルばね50の保持部51がボルト41で締結されている。保持部51は円板状に形成されており、その外周にはガイドリング52が設けられている。ガイドリング52の外周面は、ボディ11の内周面と円滑に摺動可能となっている。このため、保持部51は、ピストン40によって、ガイドリング52を介してピストン40の軸線を中心として回転可能に支持されている。また、保持部51は、ピストン40の往復動に伴って、ボディ11の軸線方向へガイドリング52によりガイドされる。その際、ピストン40と保持部51との間に作用する軸線方向の荷重は、スラスト軸受33によって受け止められる。なお、保持部51の外周には、センサ等により保持部51の位置を検出するための磁石53が設けられている。
 保持部51の下部(ピストン40と反対側の部分)には、上記コイルばね50が取り付けられている。コイルばね50(被駆動部材)は、その上端(一端)が保持部51によりかしめられることで、保持部51の下部に固定されている。コイルばね50の軸線は、上記ボディ11の軸線と一致している。このため、コイルばね50は、保持部51を介して、コイルの軸線を中心として回転可能、且つその軸線の方向へ往復動可能に支持されている。
 コイルばね50のコイル(螺旋状部)は、上記駆動ローラ23の先端部の外径よりも広い間隔の隙間を形成しつつ、螺旋状に延びている。すなわち、コイルの素線50a(一重)と素線50a(一重)との間隔は、駆動ローラ23の先端部の外径よりも広くなっている。そして、コイルの素線50aと素線50aとの隙間に、駆動ローラ23の先端部が挿入されている。コイルばね50には、ピストン40の重量,保持部51の重量,コイルばね50の自重等が下方へ作用している。
 このため、コイルばね50の素線50aは、駆動ローラ23の上面(外周面)に接している。すなわち、コイルばね50は、駆動ローラ23によって支持されている。換言すれば、駆動ローラ23の外周面がコイルばね50の素線50aに接するように、コイルの隙間に駆動ローラ23の先端部が挿入されている。そして、そのような状態となるように、モータ20がボディ11に取り付けられている。モータ20の駆動軸22の軸線は、コイルばね50の軸線と垂直になっている。
 次に、コイルばね50の素線50a(一重)を駆動ローラ23に押し当てる構成について説明する。図2は、駆動ローラ及び支持ローラとその周辺を示す拡大図であり、同図(a)は同図(b)のA-A線断面図である。
 同図に示すように、駆動ローラ23は、鋼等で形成されており、互いの軸線が一致した先端部25,円筒状部24,フランジ部26を備えている。円筒状の円筒状部24の一端に円柱状の先端部25が設けられており、他端にフランジ状のフランジ部26が設けられている。円筒状部24及びフランジ部26の内部には、モータ20の駆動軸22が圧入されている。先端部25には、括れ部25aが設けられており、括れ部25aの外径は先端部25の軸線方向の中間に近付くほど小さくなっている。先端部25の軸線を含む縦断面において、括れ部25aの曲率半径は、コイルばね50における素線50aの外周面の曲率半径と等しくなっている。このため、括れ部25aの外周面と素線50aの外周面とは線接触している。
 駆動ローラ23の外周には、ローラホルダ60が取り付けられている。ローラホルダ60(加力部)は、楕円板状に形成されており、その長軸方向に2つの貫通孔が並んで形成されている。2つの貫通孔の内周には、ラジアル軸受61,62がそれぞれ取り付けられている。ラジアル軸受61,62には、駆動ローラ23及び支持ローラ63がそれぞれ挿入されている。このため、駆動ローラ23及び支持ローラ63は、ローラホルダ60によって回転可能に支持されている。
 ラジアル軸受61の端面に駆動ローラ23の上記フランジ部26が当たっており、ローラホルダ60がフランジ部26の方向へ外れることが抑制されている。ローラホルダ60がコイルばね50の素線50aの方向へ外れることは、素線50aに駆動ローラ23の括れ部25aが係合することで抑制されている。
 支持ローラ63(後方部)は、鋼等で円柱状に形成されており、互いの軸線が一致した円柱部64,先端部65を備えている。先端部65には、括れ部65aが設けられており、括れ部65aの外径は先端部65の軸線方向の中間に近付くほど小さくなっている。先端部65(支持ローラ63)の軸線を含む縦断面において、括れ部65aの曲率半径は、コイルばね50における素線50aの外周面の曲率半径と等しくなっている。このため、括れ部65aの外周面(円筒状面)と素線50aの外周面とは線接触している。
 円柱部64の外周には、ローラホルダ60(ラジアル軸受62)の厚さよりも若干広い間隔をおいて2つの溝が設けられており、それらの溝にそれぞれ止め輪66が嵌められている。そして、ラジアル軸受62の両端面に止め輪66がそれぞれ当たっており、支持ローラ63がその軸線方向へローラホルダ60から外れることが抑制されている。コイルばね50の素線50aに支持ローラ63の括れ部65aが係合することによっても、支持ローラ63がその軸線方向へローラホルダ60から外れることが抑制されている。
 支持ローラ63の先端部65の径は、駆動ローラ23の先端部25の径よりも小さくなっている。そして、コイルの素線50aと素線50aとの隙間に、支持ローラ63の先端部65が挿入されている。すなわち、コイルばね50の素線50a(一重)を挟んで、駆動ローラ23と反対側のコイルの隙間に支持ローラ63が挿入されている。駆動ローラ23の軸線と支持ローラ63の軸線とは平行であり、駆動ローラ23の軸線及び支持ローラ63の軸線は、これらのローラ23,63が接している素線50aの軸線に垂直となっている。
 同図(a)に示すように、ローラホルダ60において、ラジアル軸受61とラジアル軸受62との間には切り欠き67が設けられている。切り欠き67は、ローラホルダ60の厚さ方向にローラホルダ60を貫通している。ローラホルダ60は、弾性が比較的大きい金属材料等で形成されており、切り欠き67の幅を狭くする方向、すなわちラジアル軸受61,62同士を近付ける方向の弾性力を生じさせている。
 このため、同図(b)に示すように、駆動ローラ23と支持ローラ63とでコイルばね50の素線50aを挟持した状態では、駆動ローラ23の外周面及び支持ローラ63の外周面が、素線50aの外周面に押し当てられる。換言すれば、支持ローラ63によって素線50aが押されることによって、素線50aの外周面が駆動ローラ23の括れ部25aの外周面に押し当てられる。なお、ローラホルダ60,ラジアル軸受61,62,支持ローラ63によって、コイルばね50の素線50a及び駆動ローラ23の外周面に、互いに押し合う力を作用させる加力手段が構成される。
 次に、図1,2を参照して、ピストン装置10の動作を説明する。
 モータ20の駆動軸22が回転させられると、駆動軸22に取り付けられた駆動ローラ23が、駆動軸22と一体回転させられる。ここで、コイルばね50の素線50aは、ピストン40の重量,保持部51の重量,コイルばね50の自重等により、駆動ローラ23の外周面に押し当てられている。さらに、ローラホルダ60が生じさせる弾性力に基づいて、支持ローラ63により素線50aが駆動ローラ23の方向へ押され、素線50aの外周面が駆動ローラ23の括れ部25aの外周面に押し当てられている。
 このため、駆動ローラ23とコイルばね50の素線50aとの間に比較的大きな摩擦力が作用し、コイルばね50の素線50aが駆動ローラ23により順次送り出される。このとき、駆動ローラ23の括れ部25aの外周面と素線50aの外周面とは線接触しているため、駆動ローラ23とコイルばね50の素線50aとの間に作用する摩擦力を増大させることができ、駆動ローラ23と素線50aとの滑りを抑制することができる。また、素線50aが送り出されることに伴って、素線50aを挟んで駆動ローラ23と反対側で接している支持ローラ63に対して、素線50aが移動することとなる。ここで、支持ローラ63は、ローラホルダ60にラジアル軸受62を介して回転可能に支持されているため、素線50aにより支持ローラ63が回転させられ、素線50aと支持ローラ63との間に作用する摩擦力が軽減される。
 コイルばね50は、コイルの軸線を中心として回転可能、且つ軸線の方向へ往復動可能に支持されている。このため、コイルばね50の素線50aが順次送り出されることにより、コイルばね50は、コイルの軸線を中心として回転させられつつ、その軸線に沿って上方(シリンダ30の方向)へ移動させられる。このとき、駆動ローラ23(駆動軸22)の回転は、駆動ローラ23の先端部25の径とコイルの径とに応じた減速比で減速される。例えば、コイルの径が駆動ローラ23の径の6倍であれば、駆動ローラ23が6回転することでコイルばね50が1回転し、その場合に回転の減速比は6となる。そして、コイルばね50が1回転すると、コイルばね50はコイルの1ピッチ分だけ軸線方向へ移動させられる。コイルばね50の移動量は、モータ20の回転ステップ数(回転量)によって制御される。
 コイルばね50が上方へ移動させられると、保持部51を介してコイルばね50に連結されたピストン40が上方へ移動させられる。このとき、ピストン40は、回り止め部材32によって回転が規制されているため、ピストン40に対してコイルばね50及び保持部51が回転する。そして、ピストン40は、その軸線を中心とした回転が規制された状態で、図1に二点差線で示すように上方へと移動させられる。その結果、ピストン40がベルトコンベアのベルト上面よりも突出することとなり、ベルトにより搬送されるワークがピストン40の側面に当たって停止させられる。
 その後、ピストン40を下降させる場合には、ピストン40の上昇時と逆方向へモータ20を回転させる。これにより、コイルばね50の素線50aが、ピストン40の上昇時と逆方向へ順次送り出される。このため、コイルばね50は、コイルの軸線を中心として回転させられつつ、その軸線に沿って下方へ移動させられる。その結果、実線で示すように、ピストン40が初期位置まで下降させられる。
 以上詳述した本実施形態は以下の利点を有する。
 ・モータ20の駆動軸22が回転すると、その駆動軸22と同軸状の外周面を有する駆動ローラ23が、駆動軸22と一体回転させられる。ここで、コイルばね50のコイルは、駆動ローラ23先端部25の外径よりも広い間隔の隙間を形成しつつ螺旋状に延びている。そして、コイルの隙間に駆動ローラ23の先端部25が挿入され、駆動ローラ23の外周面がコイルの素線50aに接している。このため、コイルの軸線方向ではなく径方向にモータ20が配置されることとなり、ピストン装置10におけるコイルばね50の軸線方向の寸法を縮小することができる。
 ・コイルばね50は、保持部51を介して、コイルの軸線を中心として回転可能、且つ軸線の方向へ往復動可能に支持されている。このため、モータ20の駆動軸22の回転に伴って駆動ローラ23が回転させられ、駆動ローラ23の外周面からコイルに摩擦力が作用すると、コイルの素線50aが順次送り出されることとなる。したがって、コイルばね50は、コイルの軸線を中心として回転させられつつ、その軸線の方向へ移動させられる。このとき、駆動ローラ23(駆動軸22)の回転は、駆動ローラ23の先端部25の径とコイルの径とに応じた減速比で減速される。したがって、コイルばね50に生じる回転トルクをモータ20の回転トルクよりも増大させることができ、簡易な構成によりコイルばね50、ひいてはピストン40を往復駆動する力を増大させることができる。
 ・ピストン装置10は、コイル及び駆動ローラ23の外周面に、互いに押し合う力を作用させる加力手段を備えるため、コイルと駆動ローラ23の外周面との間に作用する摩擦力を増大させることができる。したがって、コイルと駆動ローラ23の外周面との滑りを抑制することができ、駆動ローラ23の回転トルクをコイルばね50に効率的に伝達することができる。具体的には、加力手段は、コイルの素線50aを挟んで駆動ローラ23と反対側のコイルの隙間に挿入された支持ローラ63と、コイルの素線50aが駆動ローラ23の外周面に押し当てられるように支持ローラ63に力を加えるローラホルダ60とを備えている。こうした構成によれば、ローラホルダ60により支持ローラ63に力が加えられ、コイルの素線50aが駆動ローラ23の外周面に押し当てられる。
 ・支持ローラ63は、コイルの素線50aに接する括れ部65a(円筒状面)を有しており、ローラホルダ60及びラジアル軸受62によって、括れ部65aの軸線を中心として回転可能に支持されている。したがって、駆動ローラ23によりコイルの素線50aが順次送り出される際に、支持ローラ63を回転させることができ、コイルの素線50aと支持ローラ63との摩擦抵抗を減少させることができる。その結果、モータ20の駆動エネルギー損失を減少させることができる。さらに、括れ部65aの外周面と素線50aの外周面とは線接触しているため、それらの接触圧を低減することができ、支持ローラ63から素線50aへより大きな力を作用させることが可能となる。
 ・コイルばね50の軸線と駆動軸22の軸線とが直交しているため、コイルの周方向に対して駆動軸22の軸線、すなわち駆動ローラ23の外周面の軸線が直交することとなる。このため、駆動ローラ23の回転トルクが伝達される方向と、コイルの素線50aが送り出される方向とを一致させることができる。したがって、駆動ローラ23の回転トルクを、コイルばね50に効率的に伝達することができる。
 ・駆動ローラ23により順次送り出される螺旋状部として、コイルばね50を採用している。こうした構成によれば、安価なコイルばね50により螺旋状部を形成することができるとともに、コイルばね50から対象物へ力を作用させる際に、コイルばね50の弾性力が対象物へ作用した状態にすることができる。したがって、コイルばね50から対象物へ弾性力を作用させる構成を採用しつつも、コイルばね50を往復駆動する力を増大させることができる。
 なお、上記第1実施形態を、次のように変形して実施することもできる。第1実施形態と同一の部材については、同一の符号を付すことにより説明を省略する。
 ・図3は、図1のピストン装置10の変形例を示す部分断面図である。ピストン140の上端部(コイルばね50と反対側の端部)には、フランジ部142が設けられている。フランジ部142は、ピストン140が初期位置(所定位置)よりも下方へ移動すると、回り止め部材32に当たるようになっている。そして、回り止め部材32及びフランジ部142(第1規制部)により、ピストン140が初期位置よりも下方へ移動することが規制される。また、保持部51には、コイルばね50の軸線方向へコイルばね50の内周に沿って延びるピン154(第2規制部)が、コイルばね50と一体回転可能に設けられている。駆動ローラ123は、図1の駆動ローラ23よりも長く形成されており、駆動ローラ123の先端部はコイルばね50の内周まで突出している。そして、コイルばね50が上方から初期位置まで下降した場合(所定回転量だけ回転した場合)に、駆動ローラ123とピン154とが当たるように、駆動ローラ123及びピン154が配置されている。
 ここで、コイルばね50が回転可能な状態で、ピストン140の移動が回り止め部材32及びフランジ部142により規制された場合には、ピストン140に連結されたコイルばね50が、軸線方向への移動が規制された状態で回転するおそれがある。その場合、コイルばね50の素線50aが駆動ローラ123に対して移動することとなり、素線50aと駆動ローラ123の外周面とが離れるおそれがある。そして、素線50aと駆動ローラ123の外周面とが離れた状態では、駆動ローラ123の回転を素線50aへ伝達することができない。
 この点、上記構成によれば、ピン154によって、素線50aと駆動ローラ123の外周面とが接した状態を維持しつつ、コイルばね50が初期位置よりも回転することが規制される。すなわち、ピストン140の移動が回り止め部材32及びフランジ部142によって規制されるよりも前に、コイルばね50の回転がピン154によって規制される。このため、ピストン140が初期位置よりも移動することを規制する回り止め部材32及びフランジ部142を備える場合であっても、コイルばね50の素線50aと駆動ローラ123の外周面とが離れることを抑制することができる。したがって、駆動ローラ123から素線50aへ回転トルクを安定して伝達することができる。
 ・図4は、駆動ローラ223及び支持ローラ265とその周辺の変形例を示す拡大図である。すなわち、コイル及び駆動ローラ223の外周面に、互いに押し合う力を作用させる加力手段を以下のように構成することもできる。加力手段は、コイルの素線50aを挟んで駆動ローラ223と反対側のコイルの隙間に挿入された支持ローラ63と、コイルの素線50aが駆動ローラ223の外周面に押し当てられるように、支持ローラ63に力を加えるローラホルダ260及びねじりばね268とを備えている。
 駆動ローラ223及び支持ローラ265は、ローラホルダ260によって回転可能に支持されている。ねじりばね268は、駆動ローラ223の外周に設けられている。ねじりばね268の一端がローラホルダ260に設けられた穴269に挿入されており、他端がブラケット21の開口部21aに当てられている。そして、同図(b)において、ねじりばね268は、駆動ローラ223を中心としてローラホルダ260を時計回りに回転させるように、ローラホルダ260に回転力を作用させる。こうした構成によっても、ローラホルダ260及びねじりばね268により支持ローラ63に力が加えられ、コイルの素線50aが駆動ローラ223の外周面に押し当てられる。
 ・図5は、駆動ローラ23及び支持ローラ63とその周辺の他の変形例を示す拡大図である。同図に示すように、コイルの素線50aを挟んで駆動ローラ23と反対側のコイルの隙間に、複数の支持ローラ63を挿入するようにしてもよい。ここでは、2つの支持ローラ63が間隔をおいて設けられている。この場合であっても、図2に示した加力手段に準じた構成や、図4に示した加力手段に準じた構成を採用することにより、コイルの素線50aが駆動ローラ23の外周面に押し当てられるようにすることができる。なお、支持ローラ63に代えて、コイルの素線50aと摺動する摺動部材を設けることもできる。
 ・図6は、図1のピストン装置10の他の変形例を示す部分断面図である。同図に示すように、加力手段の他の変形例として、コイルばね50の素線50aが駆動ローラ23の外周面に押し当てられるように、コイルばね50を下方(シリンダ30と反対方向)へ付勢する引っ張りばね360(付勢部)を備え、引っ張りばね360がコイルばね50と一体回転可能に支持されている構成を採用することもできる。
 回転ピン361の両端部は、ボディ11の下端部(シリンダ30と反対側の端部)の内周面に設けられた環状の溝362に、摺動可能に係合している。このため、回転ピン361は、コイルばね50の軸線方向への移動が規制された状態で、コイルばね50の軸線を中心として回転可能に支持されている。そして、引っ張りばね360の一端はボルト341を介して保持部51に固定されており、他端は回転ピン361を介してボディ11によって、引っ張りばね360の軸線(コイルばね50の軸線)を中心として回転可能に支持されている。
 こうした構成によれば、引っ張りばね360によりコイルばね50が下方へ付勢され、コイルばね50の素線50a(一重)が駆動ローラ23の外周面に押し当てられる。したがって、素線50aと駆動ローラ23の外周面との間に作用する摩擦力を増大させることができる。さらに、引っ張りばね360は、回転ピン361を介してボディ11によって、コイルばね50と一体回転可能に支持されているため、コイルばね50が回転させられる際に、コイルばね50にねじれが生じることを抑制することができる。なお、引っ張りばね360に代えて、弾性ゴム等で形成された引っ張りゴムを採用することもできる。
 ・加力手段の他の変形例として、駆動ローラ23を磁石で形成することにより、コイルの素線50aが駆動ローラ23の外周面に押し当てられるようにすることもできる。
 (第2実施形態)
 以下、第2実施形態について図面を参照しつつ説明する。本実施形態では、多関節ロボットの手首に取り付けられるハンド装置として具体化している。
 図7は、本実施形態のハンド装置410を示す部分断面図である。同図に示すように、ハンド装置410は、ボディ411,ステッピングモータ420,ロッド440,コイルばね450,把持片444A等を備えている。なお、図7の上下方向は、ロボットの基本姿勢においてハンド装置410が取り付けられる場合の上下方向と一致しており、この状態ではハンド装置410はロッド440を水平方向へ往復駆動する。
 ボディ411は、金属材料等で有底の円筒状に形成されている。ボディ411の側部には開口部412が設けられており、ボディ411の軸線方向における一端には把持機構470が取り付けられている。開口部412には、開口部421aを有するブラケット421を介して、ステッピングモータ420(モータ)が取り付けられている。モータ420は、駆動軸422を有しており、ボディ411の軸線と駆動軸422の軸線とが垂直になるように、モータ420がボディ411に取り付けられている。
 駆動軸422は、ブラケット421の開口部421a及びボディ411の開口部412を通じて、ボディ411の外部から内部へ挿入されている。駆動軸422の先端には、駆動ローラ423が取り付けられている。駆動ローラ423(駆動部材)は、円柱状に形成されており、駆動軸422と一体回転する。駆動ローラ423の軸線は、駆動軸422の軸線と一致している。駆動ローラ423は、駆動軸422と同軸状の外周面を有している。
 ボディ411の軸線方向における一端の中央には、貫通孔414が設けられている。貫通孔414の中心は、上記ボディ411の軸線と一致している。貫通孔414には、円筒状の作動部材441が挿入されている。作動部材441(往復動部材)は、滑り軸受435を介してボディ411によって、ボディ411の軸線方向へ往復動可能に支持されている。作動部材441の軸線は、ボディ411の軸線と一致している。作動部材441の外周面には、その軸線方向へ延びるようにキー溝441aが設けられている。キー溝441aには、ボディ411に設けられた貫通孔を通じて、ピン432の先端部が挿入されている。したがって、作動部材441は、その軸線を中心とした回転が規制された状態で、軸線方向へ往復動可能となっている。
 作動部材441においてモータ420側の端部には、ロッド440が固定されている。ロッド440は円柱状に形成されており、その両端部の外周には環状のメタルブッシュ433,434がそれぞれ設けられている。ロッド440のメタルブッシュ434が設けられた側の端部には、フランジ440aが設けられている。フランジ440aはメタルブッシュ434の側面に当たっており、ロッド440からメタルブッシュ434が抜けることが、フランジ440aにより防止されている。
 ロッド440の外周においてメタルブッシュ433,434の間には、コイルばね450の保持部451が設けられている。保持部451は、金属材料等で円筒状に形成されており、その一端にはフランジ部451aが設けられている。ロッド440の外周面と保持部451の内周面との間には、若干の隙間(クリアランス)が設けられている。フランジ部451aの外周面は、ボディ411の内周面と摺動可能に接している。
 保持部451の軸線方向の両端部は、メタルブッシュ433,434を介してロッド440によって、回転可能に支持されている。保持部451の軸線及びロッド440の軸線は、ボディ411の軸線及び作動部材441の軸線と一致している。また、保持部451の軸線方向における両端面の一部は、メタルブッシュ433,434の端面にそれぞれ当たっている。このため、ロッド440と保持部451との間に作用する軸線方向の荷重は、メタルブッシュ433,434によって受け止められる。
 保持部451のフランジ部451aには、上記コイルばね450が取り付けられている。コイルばね450(被駆動部材)は、その一端がフランジ部451aによりかしめられることで、保持部451の端部に固定されている。コイルばね450の軸線は、上記ボディ411の軸線と一致している。このため、コイルばね450は、保持部451を介してロッド440によって、コイルばね450の軸線を中心として回転可能に支持されている。且つ、コイルばね450は、ロッド440、作動部材441及び滑り軸受435を介してボディ411によって、軸線方向へ往復動可能に支持されている。このとき、保持部451のフランジ部451aは、ボディ411の内周面によって軸線方向へガイドされる。
 コイルばね450のコイル(螺旋状部)は、上記駆動ローラ423の先端部425の外径よりも広い間隔の隙間を形成しつつ、螺旋状に延びている。すなわち、コイルの素線450a(一重)と素線450a(一重)との間隔は、駆動ローラ423の先端部425の外径よりも広くなっている。そして、コイルの素線450aと素線450aとの隙間に、駆動ローラ423の先端部425が挿入されている。
 コイルばね450の素線450aは、駆動ローラ423の図7における右側面(外周面)に接している。すなわち、駆動ローラ423の外周面がコイルばね450の素線450aに接するように、コイルの隙間に駆動ローラ423の先端部425が挿入されている。そして、そのような状態となるように、モータ420がボディ411に取り付けられている。モータ420の駆動軸422の軸線は、コイルばね450の軸線と垂直になっている。
 次に、図8を併せて参照して、上記把持機構470について説明する。図8は、把持機構470を上から見た部分断面図である。把持機構470は、カム部材443A,443B、ねじりばね446、把持片444A,444B等を備えている。
 上記ボディ411において、把持機構470の内部へ上記作動部材441が挿入されている。ボディ411には、作動部材441を挟んで対称に、一対の支持ピン447が設けられている。また、ボディ411には、作動部材441を挟んで対称に、一対の回り止めピン445が設けられている。支持ピン447の軸線及び回り止めピン445の軸線は、作動部材441の軸線に対して垂直になっている。支持ピン447の軸線と回り止めピン445の軸線とは平行になっている。
 把持片444A,444Bは、ボディ411によって、作動部材441の軸線及び回り止めピン445(支持ピン447)の軸線の双方に対して垂直な方向へスライド可能に支持されている。すなわち、把持片444Aと444Bとは、互いに近接及び離間するようにスライドする。そして、把持片444Aと把持片444Bとでワークを挟み込むことで、把持機構470はワークを把持する。また、把持片444A,444Bには、上記支持ピン447及び回り止めピン445と平行に、それぞれ作用ピン448が設けられている。
 支持ピン447によって、カム部材443A,443Bがそれぞれ回転可能に支持されている。作動部材441には、支持ピン447、回り止めピン445、及び作用ピン448と平行に、結合ピン442が設けられている。カム部材443A,443Bは、結合ピン442によってもそれぞれ回転可能に支持されている。カム部材443A,443Bには、切り欠き449がそれぞれ設けられている。切り欠き449には、作用ピン448が摺動可能に係合している。カム部材443A,443Bが、それぞれ支持ピン447を中心として回転することにより、作用ピン448を介して把持片444A,444Bが近接及び離間する方向へスライドさせられる。
 各支持ピン447には、ねじりばね446が取り付けられている。ねじりばね446の一端は回り止めピン445に当たっており、他端は作用ピン448に当たっている。各ねじりばね446は、支持ピン447を中心として作用ピン448を回転させる力を発生させる。これにより、各ねじりばね446によって、把持片444A,444Bは互いに離間する方向へ付勢されている。このとき、作動部材441には、作動部材441を把持片444A,444Bの方向へ移動させる力が作用している。
 したがって、コイルばね450には、ロッド440、メタルブッシュ434、及び保持部451を介して、コイルばね450を把持機構470の方向へ移動させる力が作用している。これにより、素線450aの外周面が、駆動ローラ423の外周面に押し当てられる。なお、支持ピン447、ねじりばね446、作用ピン448,回り止めピン445、カム部材443A,443B、結合ピン442、作動部材441、ロッド440、メタルブッシュ434、及び保持部451によって、コイルばね450の素線450a及び駆動ローラ423の外周面に、互いに押し合う力を作用させる加力手段が構成される。
 次に、コイルばね450が初期位置(所定位置)よりも回転することを規制する回り止め部について説明する。図9は、駆動ローラ423及び回り止め部454とその周辺を示す拡大図である。同図(a)は、コイルばね450及び保持部451を軸線方向から見た図であり、同図(b)は、駆動ローラ423の軸線方向からコイルばね450及び保持部451を見た図である。
 保持部451のフランジ部451aには、コイルばね450の軸線方向へコイルばね450の外周に沿って延びる回り止め部454(第2規制部)が、コイルばね450と一体回転可能に設けられている。駆動ローラ423の先端部425はコイルばね450の内周まで突出している。そして、コイルばね450が図9における右方から初期位置まで移動した場合(所定回転量だけ回転した場合)に、駆動ローラ423と回り止め部454とが当たるように、駆動ローラ423及び回り止め部454が配置されている。
 次に、図7,10を参照して、ハンド装置410の動作を説明する。図7は、コイルばね450が初期位置にある状態を示している。
 コイルばね450が、図7における右から左への移動を停止した後に、軸線を中心として回転する可能性がある。その場合、コイルばね450の素線450aが駆動ローラ423に対して移動することとなり、素線450aと駆動ローラ423の先端部425の外周面とが離れるおそれがある。そして、素線450aと駆動ローラ423の先端部425の外周面とが離れた状態では、駆動ローラ423の回転トルクを素線450aへ伝達することができない。
 この点、上記回り止め部454によって、素線450aと駆動ローラ423の外周面とが接した状態を維持しつつ、コイルばね450が初期位置よりも回転することが規制される。このため、コイルばね450の素線450aと駆動ローラ423の外周面とが離れることを抑制することができ、駆動ローラ423から素線450aへ回転トルクを安定して伝達することができる。
 モータ420の駆動軸422が回転させられると、駆動軸422に取り付けられた駆動ローラ423が、駆動軸422と一体回転させられる。ここで、上記ねじりばね446が生じさせる弾性力に基づいて、コイルばね450の素線450aの外周面が駆動ローラ423の先端部425の外周面に押し当てられている。このため、駆動ローラ423とコイルばね450の素線450aとの間に比較的大きな摩擦力が作用し、コイルばね450の素線450aが駆動ローラ423により順次送り出される。
 コイルばね450は、コイルの軸線を中心として回転可能、且つ軸線の方向へ往復動可能に支持されている。このため、コイルばね450の素線450aが順次送り出されることにより、コイルばね450は、コイルの軸線を中心として回転させられつつ、その軸線に沿って把持機構470と反対側へ移動させられる。このとき、駆動ローラ423(駆動軸422)の回転は、駆動ローラ423の先端部425の径とコイルの径とに応じた減速比で減速される。そして、コイルばね450が1回転すると、コイルばね450はコイルの1ピッチ分だけ軸線方向へ移動させられる。コイルばね450の移動量は、モータ420の回転ステップ数(回転量)によって制御される。
 コイルばね450が把持機構470と反対側へ移動させられると、保持部451及びロッド440を介してコイルばね450に連結された作動部材441が、モータ420側へ移動させられる。このとき、作動部材441は、キー溝441a及びピン432によって回転が規制されているため、作動部材441及びロッド440に対して、コイルばね450及び保持部451が回転する。そして、作動部材441は、その軸線を中心とした回転が規制された状態で、図10に示すように把持機構470から離れる側へと移動させられる。その結果、把持機構470において、カム部材443A,443Bが、それぞれ支持ピン447を中心として回転させられ、作用ピン448を介して把持片444A,444Bが近接する方向へスライドさせられる。したがって、把持片444Aと把持片444Bとでワークが挟み込まれ、把持機構470によってワークが把持される。
 その後、ワークを開放する場合には、ワークの把持時と逆方向へモータ420を回転させる。これにより、コイルばね450の素線450aが、ワークの把持時と逆方向へ順次送り出される。このため、コイルばね450は、コイルの軸線を中心として回転させられつつ、その軸線に沿って把持機構470側へ移動させられる。その結果、図7に示すように、コイルばね450が初期位置まで移動させられる。
 以上詳述した本実施形態は以下の利点を有する。ここでは、第1実施形態と異なる利点のみを述べる。
 ・コイルばね450に対して、コイルの軸線方向ではなく径方向にモータ420が配置されることとなり、ハンド装置410におけるコイルばね450の軸線方向の寸法を縮小することができる。このため、ハンド装置410が多関節ロボットの手首に取り付けられた場合に、ロボットの手首に作用するハンド装置410の重量による回転モーメントを減少させることができる。
 ・ハンド装置410は、コイル及び駆動ローラ423の外周面に、互いに押し合う力を作用させる加力手段を備えるため、コイルと駆動ローラ423の外周面との間に作用する摩擦力を増大させることができる。したがって、コイルと駆動ローラ423の外周面との滑りを抑制することができ、駆動ローラ423の回転トルクをコイルばね450に効率的に伝達することができる。特に、加力手段は、ねじりばね446及び回り止めピン445を把持機構470に追加することで構成されている。このため、把持機構470の変更箇所を少なくすることができるとともに、第1実施形態と比較して、駆動ローラ423付近の構成を簡潔にすることができる。
 ・駆動ローラ423により順次送り出される螺旋状部として、コイルばね450を採用している。こうした構成によれば、安価なコイルばね450により螺旋状部を形成することができる。さらに、把持機構470によりワークを把持する際に、コイルばね450の弾性力がワークへ作用した状態を維持することができる。したがって、ワークを弾性的に把持することのできる構成を採用しつつ、コイルばね450を往復駆動する力を増大させることができる。
 なお、上記第2実施形態を、次のように変形して実施することもできる。第2実施形態と同一の部材については、同一の符号を付すことにより説明を省略する。
 図9の回り止め部454に代えて、図11に示すように、回り止めピン554を採用することもできる。すなわち、保持部451のフランジ部451aには、コイルばね450の軸線方向へコイルばね450の外周に沿って延びる回り止めピン554(第2規制部)が、コイルばね450と一体回転可能に設けられている。こうした構成によっても、回り止めピン554によって、コイルばね450の素線450aと駆動ローラ423の外周面とが接した状態を維持しつつ、コイルばね450が初期位置よりも回転することを規制することができる。
 また、上記第1,第2実施形態に限定されず、例えば次のように実施することもできる。第1実施形態と同一の部材については、同一の符号を付すことにより説明を省略する。
 ・図1のコイルばね50,駆動ローラ23、又は図7のコイルばね450,駆動ローラ423に代えて、図12に示す螺旋状部材650,駆動歯車623を採用することもできる。すなわち、駆動歯車623(駆動部材)の外周面には、複数の歯623aが設けられており、螺旋状部651において駆動歯車623の外周面と接する部分には、駆動歯車623の歯623aと噛み合う複数の歯651aが設けられている。螺旋状部材650は、金属材料や樹脂等により形成することができる。
 上記構成によれば、駆動歯車623の外周面に設けられた歯623aが、螺旋状部651において駆動歯車623の外周面と接する部分に設けられた歯651aと噛み合っている。このため、駆動歯車623の回転トルクを、螺旋状部651に効率的に伝達することができる。その結果、螺旋状部材650(被駆動部材)に生じる回転トルクをより増大させることができ、螺旋状部材650を往復駆動する力をより増大させることができる。
 なお、コイルばね50,450において駆動歯車623の外周面と接する部分に、駆動歯車623の歯623aと噛み合う複数の歯651aを設けることもできる。その際に、コイルばね50,450の素線50a,450aの全周に、駆動歯車623の歯623aと噛み合う複数の歯を設けることもできる。
 ・上記第1,第2実施形態では、モータ20,420の駆動軸22,422の軸線を、コイルばね50,450の軸線に対して垂直にしたが、モータ20,420の駆動軸22,422の軸線を、コイルばね50,450の軸線に対して斜めにすることもできる。
 ・ステッピングモータ20,420(同期電動機)に代えて、非同期の電動機を採用することもできる。

Claims (11)

  1.  駆動軸を有するモータと、
     前記駆動軸と同軸状の外周面を有して前記駆動軸と一体回転する駆動部材と、
     前記駆動部材の外径よりも広い間隔の隙間を形成しつつ螺旋状に延びる螺旋状部を有し、前記螺旋状部の軸線を中心として回転可能且つ前記軸線の方向へ往復動可能に支持された被駆動部材と、
    を備え、
     前記螺旋状部の前記隙間に前記駆動部材が挿入され、前記駆動部材の前記外周面が前記螺旋状部に接していることを特徴とする往復駆動装置。
  2.  前記螺旋状部及び前記駆動部材の前記外周面に、互いに押し合う力を作用させる加力手段を備える請求項1に記載の往復駆動装置。
  3.  前記加力手段は、前記螺旋状部の一重を挟んで前記駆動部材と反対側の前記螺旋状部の前記隙間に挿入された後方部と、前記螺旋状部の一重が前記駆動部材の前記外周面に押し当てられるように前記後方部に力を加える加力部とを備える請求項2に記載の往復駆動装置。
  4.  前記後方部は、前記螺旋状部に接する円筒状面を有しており、前記加力部によって前記円筒状面の軸線を中心として回転可能に支持されている請求項3に記載の往復駆動装置。
  5.  前記加力手段は、前記螺旋状部の一重が前記駆動部材の前記外周面に押し当てられるように、前記被駆動部材を付勢する付勢部を備え、前記付勢部は前記被駆動部材と一体回転可能に支持されている請求項2に記載の往復駆動装置。
  6.  前記被駆動部材に連結されるとともに、前記螺旋状部の前記軸線の方向へ往復動可能に支持された往復動部材と、
     前記往復動部材が前記螺旋状部の前記軸線の方向へ、所定位置よりも移動することを規制する第1規制部と、
     前記螺旋状部と前記駆動部材の前記外周面とが接した状態を維持しつつ、前記被駆動部材が所定回転量よりも回転することを規制する第2規制部と、
    を備える請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の往復駆動装置。
  7.  前記第2規制部は、前記螺旋状部の前記軸線の方向へ前記螺旋状部に沿って延びるとともに、前記被駆動部材と一体回転可能に設けられており、
     前記被駆動部材が前記所定回転量だけ回転した場合に、前記駆動部材と前記第2規制部とが当たるように、前記駆動部材及び前記第2規制部が配置されている請求項6に記載の往復駆動装置。
  8.  前記駆動部材には括れ部が設けられており、
     前記括れ部の外周面と前記螺旋状部の一重の外周面とが線接触している請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載の往復駆動装置。
  9.  前記駆動部材の前記外周面には、複数の歯が設けられており、
     前記螺旋状部において前記駆動部材の前記外周面と接する部分には、前記駆動部材の前記歯と噛み合う複数の歯が設けられている請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載の往復駆動装置。
  10.  前記螺旋状部の前記軸線と前記駆動軸の軸線とが直交している請求項1~9のいずれか1項に記載の往復駆動装置。
  11.  前記螺旋状部は、コイルばねにより形成されている請求項1~10のいずれか1項に記載の往復駆動装置。
