  • the smallest diameter of the ring is smaller than the outer diameter of the tube and at the same time the largest diameter of the ring is larger than the outer diameter of the tube to prevent the implant from sliding downwards and also to facilitate introduction of the implant tube.
  • the tube body is perforated while the perforations may represent openings of various shapes.
  • the thread is created on the outer surface of the tube and it is a steep-pitched thread to enable easy release from the engaging thread on the bottom face ring.
  • the introduction element has a conical shape while in the implant application assembly the introduction element protrudes from the entry end of the tube to facilitate insertion of the implant tube into the patient's prostate.
  • the prostate implant is a means made of biologically compatible material, i.e. its tolerability for human organism is very good and on the other hand the human organism does not cause degradation of the implant.
  • the application of the implant is easy while even local anaesthesia is not necessary for the application.
  • fig. 1 shows a schematic representation of the prostate implant
  • fig. 2 shows a schematic representation of the introduction device of the implant, which is used for application of the implant.
  • the assembly consists of two parts, one of them is the implant and the other one is the introduction device 7 of the implant.

  • the tube 2 is made of a material that complies with the standard for application in the human organism, i.e. of a biologically compatible material.
  • a biologically compatible material is assessed with regard to its interaction with the environment, mainly its cytotoxic effects, to toxicological and allergic reactions, to carcinogenic, teratogenic or mutagenic reactions, to its influence on infectious processes and the scope and quality of biological degradation. What is important is that the material should not influence e.g. coagulation, cause an inflammation reaction, release potentially toxic substances, etc.
  • the tube 2 At the end of the tube 2 that serves as the entry end, which is the first one to enter the patient's body, the tube 2 is provided with a ring 4 whose largest diameter is larger than the outer diameter of the tube 2 and the smallest diameter of this ring 4 is smaller than the outer diameter of the tube 2.
  • This proportion of diameters of the ring 4 and tube 2 and the conical outer outline of the ring 4 facilitate penetration of the implant into the patient's body during the application and the widest edge of the ring 4 exceeding the outer diameter of the tube 2 prevents the tube 2 from sliding downwards.
  • the tube 2 is provided with a thread 6. It is preferred that the thread 6 is created at the outer side of the tube 2. Preferably, it should be a steep-pitched thread 6. "Steep-pitched thread” means a thread having lead of screw thread steeper than the standard ones.
  • the tube 2 may be preferably provided with perforations or other openings of any shape.
  • Fig. 2 shows the other part of the assembly, which represents the introduction device 7 of the implant used to apply the implant into the patient's body.
  • the introduction device 7 comprises an introduction element 8 that has a conical shape to facilitate penetration through the patient's body during the introduction.
  • the introduction element 8 is connected to the bottom face 1 1 along the axis 5 with the use of the connection element 14.
  • the bottom face 11 is provided with a ring 9 on which a thread is created. Preferably, it is the inner wall 10 of the ring 9 where the thread is made. Moreover, it is advantageous if the thread is steep- pitched.
  • the bottom face 11 is connected via a flexible wire 12 to a holder 13 for grasping during the application.
  • the application of the implant to the patient is carried out in the following manner.
  • the implant tube 2 is attached with the use of the thread to the ring 9 at the bottom face 11 while the introduction element 8 of the conical shape facilitating the introduction of the implant to the patient's body protrudes out of the entry end of the tube 2.
  • the implant tube 2 is introduced through the urethra up to the place of the prostate while the implant tube 2 and the introduction device 7 make it possible to pass inside the patient's body without local anaesthesia.
  • the screw connection of the thread of the ring 9 of the bottom face 11 and the thread 6 of the bottom end of the tube 2 is released by a rotary movement of the flexible wire 12 of the introduction device 7 and the introduction device 7 is removed from the patient's body while the implant tube 2 will remain in the place of introduction, i.e. in the urethra, in the place of the prostate.
  • introducing the implant with the use of the introduction device in accordance with the present invention is very easy, even local anaesthesia is not required.
  • the implant does not limit the flow of urine from the bladder through the hypertrophied or otherwise damaged prostate in any way.
  • the implant can be used in another way. If an implant without perforation of the body of the tube 2 is used, it will prevent passage of secretion from prostate glands and semen into the urethra. This way the prostate implant can serve as contraception means in men.
  • Another advantage of the described implant is that the implant can be easily removed by insertion of the introduction device by screwing and retracting from the patient's body.
  • the prostate implant is applicable for the previously described treatment of prostate trouble.
  • the implant can be easily introduced by means of the introduction device into the patient's body.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un ensemble d'implant de prostate comprenant un tuyau creux (2) symétrique le long d'un axe (5). Le tuyau (2) est pourvu d'une extrémité d'entrée, qui est la première à entrer dans le corps durant l'application de l'implant, et d'une extrémité opposée conçue pour un raccordement avec un dispositif d'introduction (7) de l'implant. Le dispositif d'introduction (7) de l'implant est pourvu d'un fil souple (12), d'un support (13) et d'un moyen pour le raccordement du dispositif d'introduction (7) au tuyau creux (2). Le corps du tuyau (2) est constitué d'un matériau biologiquement compatible. L'extrémité d'entrée du tuyau (2) est pourvue d'un anneau (4) pour faciliter l'introduction de l'implant alors que l'extrémité opposée du tuyau (2) est pourvue d'un filetage (6). Le moyen pour le raccordement du dispositif d'introduction (7) au tuyau (2) comprend un élément d'introduction (8) connecté le long de l'axe (5) à une face inférieure (11) à l'aide d'un élément de raccordement (14) alors que la face inférieure (11) est pourvue d'un anneau (9) sur lequel un filetage est créé pour venir en prise avec le filetage créé à l'extrémité opposée du tuyau (2). L'un et l'autre filetages produisent un raccordement démontable entre le dispositif d'introduction (7) et le tuyau (2) de l'implant.
