Description

電動車両への給電システム
 本発明は、電動車両への給電システムに関する。
 本願は、2010年12月3日に日本に出願された特願2010-270516号について優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。
 電気自動車は、一般に、コンセント式の給電システムによって、急速充電装置から車載の電池に充電する。
 また、特許文献1には、路面電車の給電システムが開示されている。この給電システムでは、路面電車が、電池及び地上の架線(給電子)から集電するパンタグラフ(集電子)を備えており、路面電車の軌道は、架線のない区間と架線を設置した区間とを有している。架線を設置した区間では、パンタグラフにより架線から集電して電池に充電し、架線のない区間では、電池を電源として路面電車の走行を行う。そして、電車停留所の軌道部分に架線を設置した区間を設け、この電車停留所で路面電車に充電を行う。これにより、他の走行区間への架線の設置が不要である。

 一方、路線バス等の公共交通の場合、コンセント式充電を不特定多数の乗客が待つバス停留所で実施することは困難(非現実的)である。これにより、路線バスの搭載電池容量が小さい場合には、1走行毎に車庫などに戻って充電を行う必要が生じ、これが運用上の障害となってしまう。このため、環境面で優れる電動車両を路線バス等の公共交通に導入し、その普及を促進させる上で、給電システム(充電方法)の改善、開発が強く望まれている。
 また、特許文献1に開示された給電システムは、停留所の走行路上に架線が配設される。そして、占有の走行路上を走行する路面電車である場合には、走行路上に架線が配設されても特に問題ないが、この給電システムを路線バスに適用した場合には、他の自動車が走行しうる道路上に架線が配設されることになり、交通安全などの観点から好ましくない。
 さらに、停留所で充電を行うように構成する場合に、給電子(架線)と集電子(パンタグラフ)が接触状態で保持されると、通電によって発熱が生じ、給電子や集電子が融けて付着してしまうおそれがある。
 本発明の電動車両への給電システムは、電動車両に設けられた集電子と、前記電動車両の走行路の側部に設けられ、前記集電子に接触可能な給電子を備えた給電設備と、前記集電子と前記給電子とを離接可能に相対移動させる駆動機構とを備えている。
 この発明においては、従来の給電システムのように給電子(架線)を走行路上に配設するのではなく、電動車両の走行路の側部に給電設備の給電子を設け、充電時に、給電子と電動車両の集電子とを駆動機構によって相対移動させて両者を離接する。つまり、給電子と電動車両の集電子とを分離可能に接触させる。例えば電動車両が路線バスの場合、路線バスが停留所に停車したら、停留所に設けた給電設備の給電子と路線バスの集電子とを相対移動して両者を接触させ、充電(電力補給)を行うことができる。
 また、本発明の電動車両への給電システムにおいては、前記駆動機構が、前記集電子と前記給電子とを接触状態で相対的に移動させてもよい。
 この発明においては、駆動機構によって、集電子と給電子とを接触状態で相対的に移動させることができる。集電子と給電子を相対的に動かしながら給電子から集電子に通電して電動車両の充電を行うことにより、通電による発熱で集電子や給電子が融けることを防止することができる。
 さらに、本発明の電動車両への給電システムにおいては、前記駆動機構が、前記集電子及び/又は前記給電子の温度を検知する温度センサの検知結果に基づいて、前記集電子と前記給電子とを接触状態で相対的に移動させてもよい。
 この発明においては、温度センサによって集電子や給電子の温度を検知し、例えば、通電時の発熱によって検知結果(検知温度)が予め設定した温度に達したら、駆動機構によって集電子と給電子を接触状態で相対移動させる。これにより、通電による発熱で集電子や給電子が融けることを、確実且つ効果的に防止することができる。
 また、本発明の電動車両への給電システムにおいては、前記駆動機構によって前記集電子と前記給電子の接触状態での相対移動を開始した後に、前記給電子から前記集電子に通電してもよい。
 この発明においては、駆動機構によって集電子と給電子の接触状態での相対移動を開始した後に、給電子から集電子への通電を開始する。これにより、通電による発熱で集電子や給電子が融けることを、確実且つ効果的に防止することができる。
 さらに、本発明の電動車両への給電システムにおいては、前記駆動機構が、前記集電子を前記走行路に略平行な軸線中心に旋回させて、前記給電子に対し離接してもよい。つまり、前記集電子を旋回させて、給電子に分離可能に接触させてもよい。
 この発明においては、例えば電動車両が路線バスの場合に、路線バスが停留所に停車した状態で、この路線バスの集電子を旋回駆動する。これにより、走行路の側部に設けた給電設備の給電子に容易に且つ確実に集電子を接触させることができる。
 本発明の電動車両への給電システムによれば、例えば電動車両が路線バスの場合、路線バスが停留所に停車したら、停留所に設けた給電設備の給電子と路線バスの集電子とを相対移動して接触させ、充電(電力補給)を行うことができる。これにより、充電作業が運用上の障害になることなく、且つ交通安全を確保して、好適に充電を行うことが可能になる。
本発明の一実施形態に係る電動車両の給電システムを示す図である。 本発明の一実施形態に係る電動車両の給電システムにおいて、集電子と給電子を相対的に移動させている状態を示す図である。 集電子と給電子を相対的に移動させている状態を示す図である。
 以下、図1から図3を参照し、本発明の一実施形態に係る電動車両への給電システムについて説明する。なお、本実施形態では、電動車両が路線バスであるものとし、路線バスに搭載した電池にバス停留所で充電を行うものとして説明する。
 本実施形態の給電システムAは、図1に示すように、路線バス(電動車両)1に設けられたパンタグラフ(集電子)2と、路線バス1の走行路(車道)Rの側部に設けられた給電設備3とを備えている。
 路線バス1は、リチウムイオン電池などの電池4と電池4のコントロールユニット8とが搭載され、電池4を電源にして走行する電動車両である。また、本実施形態では、パンタグラフ2が、路線バス1の天井部1aに駆動機構5を介して取り付けられている。パンタグラフ2は棒状に形成され、その一端を駆動機構5に接続されている。
 さらに、駆動機構5は、路線バス1の走行路Rに略平行な軸線O1(路線バス1の前後方向に延びる軸線O1)を中心に、パンタグラフ2を旋回駆動させる。そして、運転席に設置されたパンタグラフ操作器6を運転者が操作することにより、駆動機構5が旋回駆動し、パンタグラフ2が給電設備3の給電バー(給電子)7に分離可能に接触する。具体的には、本実施形態の駆動機構5は、天井部1a上に配置した初期姿勢と、路線バス1の一側面1bから外側に延ばすように配置した給電姿勢との間でパンタグラフ2を旋回させる。パンタグラフ2の初期姿勢の位置は図1に破線で示され、給電姿勢の位置は実線で示されている。
 さらに、駆動機構5は、パンタグラフ2を路線バス1の走行路Rに略平行な軸線O1中心に旋回駆動させることに加え、図2に示すように、パンタグラフ2を給電姿勢の状態で駆動機構5に接続した一端側を中心に旋回させ、走行路Rに略平行な前後方向(給電バー7の延設方向)に往復運動させることができる。
 給電設備3は、図1に示すように、急速充電装置9と給電バー7とを備えている。また、この給電設備3は、バス停留所(歩道)Sを間に走行路(車道)Rと反対側に設置されている。また、給電バー7は、急速充電装置9と電気的に接続しつつ、例えばバス停構造物を兼ねた支柱12の上端に、軸線O2方向を走行路Rに沿う水平方向に向けて取り付けられている。
 そして、上記構成からなる本実施形態の給電システムAにおいては、図1に示すように、路線バス1がバス停留所Sに停車した状態で運転者がパンタグラフ操作器6を操作すると、駆動機構5によってパンタグラフ2が初期姿勢から給電姿勢に旋回駆動し、路線バス1の一側面1bから歩道S側に延出する。パンタグラフ2は、上記のように給電姿勢に旋回駆動すると、給電バー7に接触する。
 また、路線バス1に搭載された電池4のコントロールユニット8と給電設備3の急速充電装置9とが無線通信機10、11を有している。パンタグラフ操作器6の操作信号やパンタグラフ2の旋回駆動信号などを、無線通信機10、11を介して検知すると、急速充電装置9から給電バー7への電力供給が開始される。電池4の充電は、急速充電装置9から給電バー7、給電バー7からこの給電バー7に接触したパンタグラフ2、パンタグラフ2から電池4に順次通電することによって行われる。
 一方、パンタグラフ2を給電バー7に接触させた状態を保持したままで給電(充電、通電)を行うと、パンタグラフ2と給電バー7の接触部が発熱し、パンタグラフ2や給電バー7が融けて付着するおそれがある。
 これに対し、本実施形態では、図2に示すように、駆動機構5によって、給電バー7に接触した状態(給電姿勢)のパンタグラフ2を走行路Rに略平行な前後方向(給電バー7の延設方向)に往復運動させることができる。このように、パンタグラフ2を給電バー7に接触した状態で往復運動させながら給電バー7からパンタグラフ2に通電することで、通電による発熱でパンタグラフ2や給電バー7が融けることを防止でき、確実且つ好適に充電が行うことができる。
 また、温度センサ(不図示)によってパンタグラフ2や給電バー7の温度を検知し、例えば、通電時の発熱によって検知結果(検知温度)が予め設定した温度に達すると、駆動機構5によってパンタグラフ2を給電バー7に接触した状態で往復運動させてもよい。あるいは、駆動機構5によってパンタグラフ2を給電バー7と接触した状態で往復運動を開始した後に、給電バー7からパンタグラフ2への通電が開始されるようにしてもよい。そして、このようにパンタグラフ2の駆動を制御することで、通電による発熱でパンタグラフ2や給電バー7が融けることを、確実且つ効果的に防止することが可能になる。
 なお、図3に示すようにパンタグラフ2を小さな範囲で前後に往復運動させると、パンタグラフ2の給電バー7に接触する範囲が小さくなり、局所的に温度が上がってしまう。
このため、図2に示すように、パンタグラフ2を大きな範囲で往復運動させて、確実にパンタグラフ2や給電バー7が高温になることを抑えるようにすることが望ましい。
 そして、充電を終了する際、運転者がパンタグラフ操作器6を操作すると、パンタグラフ2の前後の往復運動が停止し、さらに駆動機構5によってパンタグラフ2が走行路Rに略平行な軸線O1中心に旋回して給電バー7から離れ、給電姿勢から初期姿勢に戻る。
 また、パンタグラフ操作器6の操作信号やパンタグラフ2の旋回駆動信号などを無線通信機10、11で検知し、急速充電装置9から給電バー7への電力供給が停止する。
 したがって、本実施形態の電動車両への給電システムAにおいては、従来の給電システムのように給電子(架線)を走行路R上に配設するのではなく、走行路Rの側部に給電設備3の給電子(給電バー)7を設け、充電時に給電子7と電動車両1の集電子(パンタグラフ)2とを、駆動機構5によって分離可能に接触させる。本実施形態のように電動車両1が路線バスの場合、路線バス1が停留所Sに停車したら給電子7と集電子2とを接触させ、充電を行うことができる。これにより、本実施形態の給電システムAによれば、充電作業が運用上の障害になることなく、且つ交通安全を確保して、好適に充電を行うことが可能になる。
 また、本実施形態の給電システムAにおいては、駆動機構5によって、集電子2と給電子7とを接触状態で相対的に移動させることができる。このため、集電子2と給電子7を相対的に動かしながら給電子7から集電子2に通電して電動車両1の充電を行うことにより、通電による発熱で集電子2や給電子7が融けることを防止することができる。
 さらに、温度センサによって集電子2や給電子7の温度を検知し、例えば通電時の発熱によって検知結果(検知温度)が予め設定した温度に達すると、駆動機構5によって集電子2と給電子7を接触状態で相対移動させる。これにより、通電による発熱で集電子2や給電子7が融けることを、確実且つ効果的に防止することができる。
 また、駆動機構5によって集電子2と給電子7の接触状態での相対移動を開始した後に、給電子7から集電子2への通電を開始する。これにより、通電による発熱で集電子2や給電子7が融けることを、確実且つ効果的に防止することができる。
 さらに、駆動機構5が、集電子2を走行路Rに略平行な軸線O1中心に旋回させ、集電子2を給電子7に分離可能に接触させる。これにより、電動車両が路線バス1の場合に、路線バス1が停留所Sに停車した状態で、この路線バス1の集電子2を旋回駆動することで、走行路Rの側部に設けた給電設備3の給電子7に、集電子2を容易に且つ確実に接触させることができる。
 以上、本発明に係る電動車両の給電システムの一実施形態について説明したが、本発明は上記の一実施形態に限定されるものではなく、その趣旨を逸脱しない範囲で適宜変更可能である。
 例えば、本実施形態では、電動車両(路線バス)1の集電子(パンタグラフ)2が駆動機構5によって旋回駆動し、給電子(給電バー)7に対して集電子2が移動する。ところで、本発明の電動車両の給電システムにおいては、集電子2と給電子7が相対的に移動可能であればよい。つまり、本発明は、本実施形態のように給電子7に対して集電子2が移動する場合に限定されることはない。
 本発明は、電動車両に設けられた集電子と、前記電動車両の走行路の側部に設けられ前記集電子に接触可能な給電子を備えた給電設備と、前記集電子と前記給電子とを離接可能に相対移動させる駆動機構とを備える電動車両への給電システムに関する。本発明によれば、電動車両の充電作業が運用上の障害になることなく、好適に充電を行うことができる。

Claims (5)

  1.  電動車両に設けられた集電子と、
     前記電動車両の走行路の側部に設けられ、前記集電子に接触可能な給電子を備えた給電設備と、
     前記集電子と前記給電子とを離接可能に相対移動させる駆動機構とを備える電動車両への給電システム。 
  2.  請求項1に記載の電動車両への給電システムにおいて、
     前記駆動機構が、前記集電子と前記給電子とを接触状態で相対的に移動させる電動車両への給電システム。
  3.  請求項2に記載の電動車両への給電システムにおいて、
     前記駆動機構が、前記集電子及び/又は前記給電子の温度を検知する温度センサの検知結果に基づいて、前記集電子と前記給電子とを接触状態で相対的に移動させる電動車両への給電システム。
  4.  請求項2に記載の電動車両への給電システムにおいて、
     前記駆動機構によって前記集電子と前記給電子の接触状態での相対移動を開始した後に、前記給電子から前記集電子に通電する電動車両への給電システム。
  5.  請求項1から請求項4のいずれかに記載の電動車両への給電システムにおいて、
     前記駆動機構が、前記集電子を前記走行路に略平行な軸線中心に旋回させて、前記給電子に対し離接する電動車両への給電システム。
