Abstract
Description
更に、特許文献1には、糸状弾性体を巻回する一対の搬送ベルトのそれぞれに上下2段のベルトを備えたものを用い、一対の搬送ベルトに巻回した平面視ジグザグ状態の糸状弾性体を、上段ベルトと下段ベルトとの間に速度差を設けて、平行状に配置し直した後、帯状シートに固定するようにした伸縮性シートの製造装置も記載されている。
また、本発明は、吸収性本体と、該吸収性本体の長手方向の左右両側に連設された左右のウエストパネルを有する使い捨ておむつの製造方法であって、前記の伸縮性シートの製造装置により伸縮性シートを製造する工程、及び該伸縮性シートを、前記ウエストパネルの形成材に用いて前記使い捨ておむつを製造する工程を具備する、使い捨ておむつの製造方法を提供するものである。
本発明の伸縮性シートの製造装置及び伸縮性シートの製造方法の一実施形態で製造される伸縮性シートは、例えば、図1に示すように、展開型の使い捨ておむつ1のウエストパネル3に用いられる。従って、先ず、本実施形態により製造される伸縮性シートをウエストパネルに用いた展開型の使い捨ておむつ1について説明する。図1に示す使い捨ておむつ1は、本発明の使い捨ておむつの製造方法の一実施態様により製造する使い捨ておむつの一例でもある。
以下の説明では、吸収性本体2の長手方向(おむつ1の長手方向でもある)をY方向、吸収性本体2の幅方向(おむつ1の幅方向でもある)をX方向として説明する。
ウエストパネル3を構成するシート5,6及びパネル材4としては、通常、使い捨ておむつ等の吸収性物品に用いられるものであれば、特に制限なく用いることができる。例えば、シート5,6及びパネル材4としては、不織布、織物、フィルムまたはそれらの積層シート等を用いることができる。吸収性本体2を構成する表面シート21、裏面シート22としては、それぞれ、通常、使い捨ておむつ等の吸収性物品に用いられるものであれば、特に制限なく用いることができる。例えば、表面シート21としては、親水性且つ液透過性の不織布等を用いることができ、裏面シート22としては、液不透過性又は撥水性の樹脂フィルムや樹脂フィルムと不織布の積層体等を用いることができる。吸収体23としては、パルプ繊維等の繊維の集合体(不織布であっても良い)又はこれに吸水性ポリマーの粒子を保持させてなる吸収性コアを、透水性の薄紙や不織布からなるコアラップシートで被覆したもの等を用いることができる。立体ガードを構成する立体ガード形成用シート24としては、伸縮性のフィルム、不織布、織物またはそれらの積層シート等を用いることができる。
ファスニングテープ8としては、例えば、不織布等のテープ基材の一方の面上にメカニカルファスナーのフック部材を熱融着や接着剤等により貼り付けてなるものを用いることができる。
また、一体化手段17は、一対のニップローラー171,172を用いて一対の帯状シート50,60の間に伸長状態の糸状弾性体7を固定する。
伸縮性シートの製造装置11は、図3に示すように、糸状弾性体7を連続して繰り出し、回転アーム14(弾性体巻回手段)に糸状弾性体7を伸長状態で導入する弾性体供給手段15を備えている。
図2中矢印のy方向は、シートの搬送方向であり、糸状弾性体7や一対の帯状シート50,60の搬送方向を示し、最終的に本実施態様により製造されるウエストパネル3(伸縮性シート)の搬送方向及び該ウエストパネル3(伸縮性シート)を取り付けたおむつ1の連続体の搬送方向とも同じ方向である。また、図2中矢印のx方向は、帯状シート50,60の幅方向であり、シートの搬送方向と直交する方向である。また、図2中矢印のz方向は、後述する一対のニップローラー171,172どうしが対向する方向である。
上段ベルト12aは、図2及び図4に示すように、回転アーム14(弾性体巻回手段)により巻回される糸状弾性体7と接触して該糸状弾性体7をy方向に搬送する順走部分12a'と、該順走部分12a'とは逆向きに走行する逆走部分12a"とを有している。上段ベルト12aの順走部分12a'は、上段ベルト12aにおける、プーリー122からプーリー121に向かって走行する部分であり、逆走部分12a"は、上段ベルト12aにおける、プーリー121からプーリー122に向かって走行する部分である。
上記間隔Ta(図4参照)は、搬送ベルト12,13の高さTの3%~25%であることが好ましく、より好ましくは5~15%である。図4のように、搬送ベルト12,13の高さTとは、搬送ベルト12、13のそれぞれについて、弾性体搬送面Sに対して垂直な方向における、上段ベルトの順走部分の上端eから下段ベルトの順走部分の下端gまでの距離を言う。ここで、高さTに対する割合を規定するのは、ニップローラー171、172の間に糸状弾性体を配置しやすくすること及び省スペースの観点から、高さTの大きさがコンベアの基準となるからである。前記高さTの値は、ニップロール直径の25%以下であることが好ましく、より好ましくは20%以下である。ニップロール直径は、ニップローラー171、172の直径である。
間隔Ta(図4参照)の高さTに対する割合を上記数値範囲とするのが好ましい理由は、基準となる高さTに対して、間隔Taの割合が大きくなりすぎるとベルトの厚みを小さくせざるを得なくなり、ベルトが磨耗しやすいからである。
そして、それにより、上段ベルト12aの順走部分12a'が、図4に示すように、その上端eがその下端fより、搬送ベルト12,13どうし間の中央位置PC側に位置するように傾斜している。また、プーリー121,122の各回転軸q1,q2は上段ベルト12aの傾斜した順走部分12a'に対して直交している。
上段ベルト12aの順走部分12a'は、上記の弾性体搬送面Sに対する傾斜角度θ1(図4参照)が、上述したニップローラー171、172の間に糸状弾性体を配置しやすくすること及び省スペースの観点から、1~45°であることが好ましく、より好ましくは5~20°である。
下段ベルト12bも、図2及び図4に示すように、回転アーム14(弾性体巻回手段)によって巻回される糸状弾性体7と接触して該糸状弾性体7をy方向に搬送する順走部分12b'と、該順走部分12b'とは逆向きに走行する逆走部分12b"とを有している。下段ベルト12bの順走部分12b'は、下段ベルト12bにおける、プーリー125からプーリー124に向かって走行する部分であり、逆走部分12b"は、下段ベルト12bにおける、プーリー124からプーリー125に向かって走行する部分である。
下段ベルト12bの順走部分12b'の外面にも、一対のローラー126が当接しており、該ローラー126が回転しつつ順走部分12b'を押圧することで、図2及び図4に示すように、一対のローラー126どうし間に、順走部分12b'と逆走部分12b"との間の間隔Tb(図4参照)が、プーリー124,125の直径以下(好ましくは該直径の2/3以下、より好ましくは1/2以下)に狭まっている領域が形成されている。また間隔Tb(図4参照)も、間隔Taと同様、上記高さT(図4参照)の3%~25%であることが好ましく、より好ましくは5~15%である。
そして、それにより、下段ベルト12bの順走部分12b'が、図4に示すように、その下端gがその上端hより、搬送ベルト12,13どうし間の中央位置PC側に位置するように傾斜している。また、プーリー124,125の各回転軸q3,q4は下段ベルト12bの傾斜した順走部分12b'に対して直交している。
下段ベルト12bの順走部分12b'の前記弾性体搬送面Sに対する好ましい傾斜角度θ2(図4参照)は、上段ベルト12aの順走部分12a'の前述した好ましい傾斜角度と同様である。
そして、それにより、上段ベルト13aの順走部分13a'も、上段ベルト12aの順走部分12a'と同様に、上端eが下端fより、搬送ベルト12,13どうし間の中央位置PC側に位置するように傾斜している。また、プーリー131,132の各回転軸は上段ベルト13aの傾斜した順走部分13a'に対して直交している。上段ベルト13aの順走部分13a'の前記弾性体搬送面Sに対する好ましい傾斜角度θ1(図4参照)は、搬送ベルト12の上段ベルト12aの順走部分12a'の前述した好ましい傾斜角度と同様である。
下段ベルト13bの順走部分13b'の外面には、一対のローラー136が当接しており、該ローラー136が回転しつつ順走部分13b'を押圧することで、一対のローラー136どうし間に、順走部分13b'と逆走部分13b"との間の間隔Tb(図4参照)が、プーリー134,135の直径以下(好ましくは該直径の2/3以下、より好ましくは1/2以下)に狭まっている領域が形成されている。間隔Tbの、高さTに対する好ましい割合は、搬送ベルト12の下段ベルトと同様である。
そして、それにより、下段ベルト13bの順走部分13b'は、下段ベルト12bの順走部分12b'と同様に、下端gが上端hより、搬送ベルト12,13どうし間の中央位置PC側に位置するように傾斜している。また、プーリー134,135の各回転軸は下段ベルト13bの傾斜した順走部分13b'に対して直交している。
下段ベルト13bの順走部分13b'の前記弾性体搬送面Sに対する好ましい傾斜角度θ2(図4参照)は、搬送ベルト12の下段ベルト12bの順走部分12b'の前述した好ましい傾斜角度と同様である。
このような回転アーム14により、取り込んだ糸状弾性体7を、搬送ベルト12(上段ベルト12a,下段ベルト12b)及び搬送ベルト13(上段ベルト13a,下段ベルト13b)の上流側の端部であって且つそれぞれの外周側に連続的に巻回することができる。回転アーム14の回転速度、即ち、サーボモーター148の回転速度は、製造装置11の備える制御部(不図示)により、制御されている。
また、一体化手段17は、糸状弾性体7と合流させる前の帯状シート50及び/又は60に、接着剤を塗布する接着剤塗工機(不図示)を備えている。接着剤吐出機は、帯状シート50における帯状シート60側に向けられる面、及び/又は帯状シート60における帯状シート50側に向けられる面)に、任意の塗布パターンで接着剤を塗布する。接着剤の塗工態様は、ストライプ状、スパイラル状、サイン波形状等のパターン塗工であっても良いし、全面にスプレーしたり、べた塗り状に塗布しても良い。帯状シート50及び/又は60に接着剤を塗布し、その帯状シート50,60に糸状弾性体7を挟んだ状態で、これらをニップローラー171,172で加圧することで、糸状弾性体7が帯状シート50,60間に確実に固定される。
(a)搬送ベルト12及び搬送ベルト13における糸状弾性体7に接触する部分に摩耗が生じにくい。そのため、長時間運転しても、ベルトが摩耗して糸状弾性体との間にすべりを生じるといったことが起こりにくく、糸状弾性体7が所望の状態に精度良く固定された伸縮性シートを安定して製造することができる。
これにより、ニップローラー171,172による帯状シート50,60との一体化等に支障等を生じることなく、搬送ベルト12,13の耐久性を向上させることができ、メンテナンスの負担の軽減等を図ることができる。また、糸状弾性体と搬送ベルトとの接触面積を増やし、ベルトと糸状弾性体との間にすべりが生じにくく、糸状弾性体が所望の状態に精度良く固定された伸縮性シートを安定して製造することができる。
上段ベルト12a,13aの幅Wa及び下段ベルト12b,13bの幅Wbは、前記高さTの25~75%、特に40~60%とすることが好ましい。また、高さTは、任意に設定することができるが、例えば10~30mmとすることができ、また、使い捨ておむつのウエストパネルに用いる伸縮性シートを製造する場合、高さTは、10~25mmとすることが好ましい。ただし、幅Wa及び幅Wbと高さTとの関係は傾斜角度θ1、θ2の設定にも依存するので、上記の数値範囲から外れることがあってもよい。
そのため、搬送ベルト12,13の前記高さT(及び糸状弾性体7の前記距離T')を一層抑制しつつ、搬送ベルト12,13の上段ベルト12a,13a及び下段ベルト12b,13bとして、幅Wa,Wbの広いものを用いることができる。これにより、糸状弾性体7のグリップ力が強くなることと、ニップローラー171,172による帯状シート50,60との一体化等を一層スムーズに行うことが両立できる。
搬送ベルト12,13の逆送部分は、巻回した糸状弾性体7に接触させないことが好ましいが、その方法としては、ベルトを架け渡すプーリーに、ベルト接触面が円錐状のものを用いたり、プーリー間に、逆送部分を斜めに傾けたり、略水平に倒したりするガイドを設ける方法がある。しかし、プーリーやガイドにより逆送部分の傾きを変えると、ベルトに捻りを加えることになり、角度を変えるプーリーやガイドとの接触により、ベルトに摩耗が生じ易くなったり、ベルトの寿命が比較的短期間となる。
これに対して、本実施形態のように、ベルトに実質的に捻りを加えることなく、逆送部分を接触しないようにしてあるため、ベルトの耐久性が向上し、糸状弾性体7が所望の状態に精度良く固定された伸縮性シートを長期間安定して製造することができる。
また、搬送ベルト12の下段ベルト12bも、一対のプーリー124,125間、より具体的には、ローラー126どうし間に、図4に示すように、順走部分12b'を、図4に示す傾斜状態に維持するベルト支持ガイド191を備えている。ベルト支持ガイド191も、図2には図示しないが、y方向に延びる所定幅の板状体であり、図2中のP1の位置からP2の位置に亘って配されている。即ち、ベルトに最初に糸状弾性体7が接触する位置より上流側から、ニップローラー171,172より下流側に亘って配されている。図4に示すように、搬送ベルト13の下段ベルト13bも同様のベルト支持ガイド191を備えている。
なお、ベルト支持ガイド190とベルト支持ガイド191とは、連結部192によって所定の間隔を維持していると共に、図示しない支持体によって、所定の高さ位置に保持されている。
また、ベルト支持ガイド190,191は、順走部分と逆送部分との間に配されており、順走部分と逆送部分の接触を防止することができる。
先ず、図3に示すように、糸状弾性体7を連続して繰り出し、繰り出された糸状弾性体7を伸長状態で弾性体巻回手段としての回転アーム14に導入する。
詳述すると、繰り出しローラー152を用いて、糸状弾性体7を巻き付けたボビン70から糸状弾性体7を連続して繰り出す。繰り出す際には、テンション測定器153による糸状弾性体7のテンションの検出出力に基づき、製造装置11の備える制御部(不図示)によって、巻き出しローラー152の回転速度やテンサー151のブレーキを調整し、所定のテンションでボビン70から糸状弾性体7を繰り出す。
この製造された吸収性本体2の連続体を、搬送方向(y方向)に搬送しながら、x方向両外方に突出するように一対のウエストパネル3を、吸収性本体2の連続体に含まれる吸収体33毎に配したおむつ1の連続体を製造する。ここで、吸収性本体2の連続体の搬送方向(y方向)と、ウエストパネル3(伸縮性シート)を製造する際の搬送方向(y方向)は、同方向であり、ウエストパネル3(伸縮性シート)を90°反転する必要はない。その後、その連続体を、公知の切断手段(図示せず)により、個々のおむつ1の寸法に切断して、おむつ1を製造することができる。
また、弾性体巻回手段としては、特許文献1や特開2010-22588号公報に記載のもの等を用いることもできる。

- 離間配置された一対の搬送ベルトと、一対の該搬送ベルトに糸状弾性体を巻回して、該糸状弾性体の向きを、帯状シートの搬送方向と交差する向きとする弾性体巻回手段と、該糸状弾性体を、帯状シートに固定する一体化手段とを備えた伸縮性シートの製造装置であって、
一対の搬送ベルトは、それぞれ、上段ベルト及び下段ベルトを備え、該上段ベルト及び該下段ベルトは、それぞれ、無端状の回転ベルトであり、巻回された糸状弾性体と接触して該糸状弾性体を搬送する順走部分と、該順走部分とは逆向きに走行する逆走部分とを有しており、
前記上段ベルトの順走部分は、その上端がその下端より、前記搬送ベルトどうし間の中央位置側に位置するように傾斜し、前記下段ベルトの順走部分は、その下端がその上端より、前記搬送ベルトどうし間の中央位置側に位置するように傾斜している、伸縮性シートの製造装置。 - 前記上段ベルト及び前記下段ベルトは、それぞれ、前記逆送部分が、前記順走部分と略平行に配されている、請求項1記載の伸縮性シートの製造装置。
