Abstract

L'invention concerne une composition de matériau de frottement sans asbeste contenant un matériau de liaison, une charge organique, une charge inorganique et un substrat fibreux, ladite composition de matériau de frottement étant caractérisée en ce que la teneur en cuivre dans la composition de matériau de frottement est au plus de 5% en masse en tant que cuivre élémentaire, la teneur en fibres métalliques autres que de cuivre et d'alliages de cuivre est au plus de 0,5% en masse, et en ce qu'elle contient de l'oxyde de lithium potassium titane et du graphite. Même si la teneur des polluants environnementaux comme le cuivre ou les fibres de cuivre est faible, la composition de matériau de frottement sans asbeste peut fournir un matériau de frottement possédant un excellent coefficient de frottement, d'excellentes résistance à la fissuration et résistance à l'usure. L'invention concerne en outre un matériau de frottement et un élément de frottement utilisant la composition de matériau de frottement sans asbeste.
