Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Motorsteuergerät zum Ansteuern eines Stromkreises, insbesondere eines Starters in einem Fahrzeug. Das Motorsteuergerät umfasst dabei zumindest ein erstes Mittel (31) zum Bereitstellen eines ersten Signals (1), insbesondere eines Zündsignals, ein zweites Mittel (30) zum Bereitstellen einer Spannung (2) für den Stromkreis, ein drittes Mittel (32) zum Anschließen des Stromkreises, einen ersten Schalter (5a), der zwischen zweitem und drittem Mittel zum Steuern des Stromkreises angeordnet ist und ein viertes Mittel (13,14) zur Erzeugung eines zweiten Signals, wobei das erste Signal (la) mit dem zweiten Signal (la) zur Bildung eines virtuellen zweiten Schalters zusammenwirkt zum Ein- oder Ausschalten des Stromkreises mittels des ersten Schalters (5a).
