  • the present inventors have made various studies on the use of a laminated spacer in which a color filter, a black matrix, etc. are laminated as a spacer for holding a distance between a pair of substrates that sandwich a liquid crystal layer. Then, as described above, it is possible to prevent conduction by forming a cap insulating layer on the common electrode, but an extra manufacturing process such as a coating process and a patterning process of the cap insulating layer is necessary. We paid attention to the point. In addition, it may be possible to prevent conduction by patterning so that a part of the pixel electrode is removed in a region where the laminated spacer is in contact with the array substrate. However, consideration is given to a deviation that occurs when the pair of substrates is bonded. It was necessary to pay attention to the point that the opening area of the pixel opening region can be lost because the electrode having an area larger than the area where the laminated spacer is in contact with the array substrate has to be removed.

Abstract

Description

具体的には、下記形態;
