Abstract

Se describe un nuevo sistema de seguridad y autentificación de documentos basado en un elemento transparente sobre el cual aparece más de una imagen dependiendo del modo en que se observa. El sistema está basado en células o láminas de cristal líquido dopado con uno o varios colorantes dicroicos. Las imágenes obtenidas con ayuda de un polarizador pueden estar impresas sobre una lámina muy delgada (μm o 10 decenas de μm) de material polímero; además pueden mostrar escalas de gris o colores. No es necesario aplicar señales eléctricas durante la fabricación ni durante su uso.
