Definitions
- the present invention relates to a navigation device that provides route information to a destination.
- a navigation device (car navigation device) installed in a vehicle uses positioning information received from a GPS (Global Positioning System) satellite and a database of map information and facility information stored in a storage medium such as an HDD or a DVD. Based on this, the route to the facility set as the destination by the driver is searched, and the searched route is displayed on the display.
- GPS Global Positioning System
- the destination is set by the driver by selecting one search field from a selection menu of a plurality of search fields (address, facility name, telephone number, facility genre, etc.) displayed on the display. This is performed by searching the database using the character string for search as a search key (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
- the driver when searching for a ramen shop in A town, the driver first selects an address as a search field and searches for A town, and then searches for a ramen shop in A town using the search field as a facility genre. . Therefore, the search operation is troublesome and there is a disadvantage that it takes time to set the destination.
- the present invention has been made in view of such a background, and an object of the present invention is to provide a navigation apparatus that can easily set a destination in a short time.
- the present invention has been made in order to achieve the above-described object, and includes a database unit capable of accessing a facility database configured by associating facility information with a predetermined search field, and a character input unit for inputting a character string. And using the character string input by the character input unit as a search key, a facility search unit for searching for a facility as a destination candidate from the facility database, and information on the facility searched by the facility search unit are displayed.
- the present invention relates to a navigation device including a display unit.
- the facility search unit refers to the facility database when the first character string and the second character string are input by the character input unit, and the search field to which the first character string belongs and the second character string Recognizing the search field to which the character string belongs, and when a plurality of first search fields that are the search fields to which the first character string belongs are specified, one of the plurality of first search fields and the second character string
- a combination pattern with a second search field to which the search field belongs is assigned with a priority, and a search using the first character string in the first search field as a search key according to each combination pattern;
- a candidate facility search process for searching for a facility that is a destination candidate by performing a search using the second character string in the second search field as a search key is executed in accordance with the priority assigned to each combination pattern.
- the user can input the first character string and the second character string without being conscious of the search field, and in response to the input, the facility search unit determines the destination. Candidate facilities are searched, and the facility name is displayed on the display unit. Then, the facility search by the facility search unit is performed by a pattern combining the first search field to which the first character string belongs and the second search field to which the second character string belongs. Priorities are assigned to the patterns.
- the said facility search part performs the said candidate facility search process according to the priority of the said combination pattern. Therefore, for example, a facility that is highly likely to be desired by the user is set by, for example, setting a higher search field (region name, facility genre, etc.) that is generally more likely to be input by the user. First, the name can be displayed on the display unit.
- a facility that is a candidate for a destination is searched with priority by one operation of inputting the first character string and the second character string by the user, and the display is performed. Therefore, the user can easily select the destination in a short time.
- the facility search unit performs the candidate facility search processing in order from the highest assigned priority among the combination patterns, and when a predetermined number or more of facilities that are destination candidates are searched, The candidate facility search process is terminated.
- execution of the candidate facility search process using a combination pattern that has a low priority and is assumed to be less likely to be selected by the user is prohibited. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the display unit from displaying a useless facility name and annoying the user.
- the facility search unit further includes a position detection unit that detects a current position, and the facility search unit stores, for each combination pattern, the first search character string for the first search field including the first character string from the database.
- a second search character string for the second search field including the second character string is extracted from the database, and a search using the first search character string and the second search character string as item elements
- An item is set, the priority assigned to the corresponding combination pattern is assigned to each search item, and the first search character string or the second search character string of the item element is a search field related to a region.
- the facility search unit sets a search item having the first search character string and the second search character string as item elements for each combination pattern, and for each search item, The priority assigned to the corresponding combination pattern is assigned. Further, when the first search character string or the second search character string is for a search field related to an area (for example, a place name, a station name, etc.), the facility search unit starts from the current position with the first search character string. Alternatively, the shorter the distance to the area specified by the second search character string, the higher the priority is given, and the candidate facility search process is executed in order from the search item having the highest priority. In this case, it is possible to preferentially search for a facility located at a short distance that is likely to be selected as a destination by the user, so that convenience for the user can be improved.
- the search field includes at least two of a facility name, a region name, a station name, and a facility genre.
- the facility name, area name, station name, and facility genre which are assumed to be highly likely to be input by the user, are used as search fields, and the facility in accordance with the user's request is searched. You can expect that.
