Abstract

The invention relates to a device for filling cardboard shipping boxes (50) with bundles (P1, P2, P3, P4, So1, So2) of print products, which are provided by a bundling machine. The device comprises a frame, a conveyor belt (1), a place (40) for providing the empty cardboard shipping boxes (50), and an apparatus for transporting the full cardboard shipping boxes (50) away. Arranged one after the other in the conveying direction, a lifting device (6), which lifts stopped bundles, a lifting/stop device (7), which lifts or stops arriving bundles, and a stop (8), which stops arriving bundles, are associated with the conveyor belt (1). A platform (20) is positioned next to the conveyor belt (1). A first pusher (10), which pushes one or more stopped bundles from the conveyor belt (1) onto the platform (20) in order to form a complete layer, is associated with the platform. A lay-down apparatus (30) is positioned next to the conveyor belt (1). The platform (20) can be swiveled 90 degrees. The swiveled platform (20.2) borders the lay-down apparatus (30); furthermore, a second pusher (21), which pushes the layer from the platform (20) onto the lay-down apparatus (30), is associated with the platform. The lay-down apparatus (30) comprises two parts (30.1, 30.2), which can be moved apart and back together. A vertically and horizontally movable lift (43) is located under the lay-down apparatus (30). The lift takes the layer from the lay-down apparatus (30) after the lay-down apparatus has opened and puts the layer into the cardboard shipping box (50).
