Abstract
L'invention concerne une lampe à diodes électroluminescentes (DEL) de grande puissance spécialement conçue pour éviter les problèmes de surchauffe. La lampe selon l'invention est constituée d'une sorte de coque en plastique dont la base est prolongée par un culot fileté disposé axialement et centré en vue d'un accouplement à une douille complémentaire. La coque reçoit une base en aluminium dont la majeure partie dépasse de ladite coque, cette base comportant les diodes électroluminescentes et étant assortie d'une source d'alimentation pour les diodes, d'un radiateur et d'un amorceur. Ladite lampe se caractérise en ce qu'elle comprend également un élément suppresseur d'air matérialisé par une pompe d'expulsion d'air ou par un ou plusieurs ventilateurs qui permettent la circulation de l'air à l'intérieur de la lampe, refroidissant ainsi les diodes électroluminescentes, de manière à permettre une augmentation substantielle de la puissance de la lampe, évitant ainsi les problèmes de surchauffe.
