Abstract

본 발명은 고해상도 영상 부호화/복호화 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 현재 블록을 예측하여 예측 블록을 생성하고, 현재 블록과 예측 블록을감산하여 잔여 블록을 생성하며, 현재 블록의 블록 타입에 따라 변환 및 양자화 타입을 결정하며, 결정된 변환 및 양자화 타입에 따라 잔여 블록을변환 및 양자화하며, 변환 및 양자화된 잔여 블록을 부호화하는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 부호화 방법을 제공한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 영상에서 나타나는 시간적/공간적으로 인접한 화소들의 높은 상관성을 이용한 부호화를 수행할 수 있어 부호화효율을 높일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 블록 왜곡을 감소시켜 압축 효율을향상시킬 수 있으며, 필터링의 수행 회수를 줄일 수 있어 영상의 부호화 및 복호화를 위한 장치의 구현 복잡도를 낮출 수 있다.
