Abstract

본 발명은 저주파수 성분을 고려한 영상 부호화/복호화 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 현재 블록을 예측 부호화하여 부호화된 영상 데이터를 생성하고 복원 블록을 생성하며, 현재 블록과 복원 블록을 감산하여 생성되는 에러 블록의 저주파수 성분만을 부호화하여 부호화된 저주파수 데이터를 생성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 영상 부호화 방법을 제공한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 저주파수 성분을 고려하여 동영상을 부호화함에 따라 변환 및 양자화에 의한 블로킹 효과를 감소시키면서 압축 효율을 향상시킬 수 있다.
