Definitions

  • the invention relates to a catheter set comprising a catheter, in particular suitable for self-catheterization, having a hydrophilic surface, wherein the catheter together with a wetting fluid is ready for use in a liquid-tight, tube-like, use packaging.
  • catheters or catheter sets are known in many different ways from the practice.

  • hydrophilic surface / coating catheters are either provided in the dry state and must be wetted or contacted with wetting liquid to effect the ready-to-use state. This can be done by adding wetting liquid into the use packaging or liberating wetting liquid from a container disposed within the use packaging.
