Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'alcool à partir de biomasse lignocellulosique, cette biomasse étant prétraitée avec un mélange alcalin de carbonate de sodium et de sulfate de sodium, c.-à-d. une liqueur verte, avant de subir une hydrolyse enzymatique et une fermentation. Le prétraitement à la liqueur verte augmente l'efficacité de l'hydrolyse enzymatique. L'alcool produit par la fermentation et la lignine dissoute dans la liqueur verte au cours du prétraitement peuvent être utilisés comme carburants.
