Definitions
- the present invention relates in general to an anti-corrosion cap for bolts, and more particularly, to an anti-corrosion cap for bolts, which is insert fitted into bolts used for securing outdoor constructions such as bridges to protect the bolts against corrosion so that the constructions may not collapse or damaged.
- bolts are widely used to fasten or secure bridges or outdoor constructions.
- the bolts are easily corroded often by rain and wind.
- bolts which are used for securing bridges are more exposed to corrosion than bolts which are used for securing other kinds of constructions. Once bolts had corroded, they are easily removed from constructions and the constructions secured or supported by the bolts will inevitably collapse.
- the present invention is conceived to solve the aforementioned problems in the prior art.
- An object of the present invention is to provide an anti-corrosion cap for bolts, which is insert fitted into bolts used for securing outdoor constructions such as bridges to protect the bolts against corrosion.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide an anti-corrosion cap for bolts excellent in corrosion protection over bolts, such that constructions secured by those bolts with caps may not collapse or damaged and have increased life span.
- anti-corrosion cap for bolts comprises a semicircular "n" shaped body which is made of flexible material containing luminous paint; a corrugated tube which is disposed at a lower side of the body and has a variable height depending on the height of a bolt the cap is fitted into; a fixing member which is disposed underneath the body; and a rust preventive oil housing which accommodates rust preventive oil.
- the fixing member of the anti-corrosion cap for bolts is for fixing the cap to a construction. It has, on its top, a groove to be inserted into the bottom of the body, and a magnet is insert fitted into its bottom to make it bond to the construction.
