図3に示すように、本実施形態の移動通信システムは、全体構成については図1と同様であるが、BM-SC100、GGSN200、SGSN300、およびRNC400-1,400-2に機能を追加している。
・NTP(Network Time Protocol)を用いる方法
・IPマルチキャスト配信を用いる方法(Relying on IP multicast distribution)
・IEEE(Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers)1588で規定された方法
制御部402は、SGSN300およびNodeB500に送信するメッセージおよび指示を生成する。例えば、本実施形態では、制御部402は、SGSN300から通知された無線リソースの設定値のS-CCPCHへの設定指示を生成する。
次に、本実施形態の移動通信システムのMBMSの開始時、すなわちセッション開始時の動作について、図5に示すCプレーン(Control Plane)シーケンスチャートに沿って説明する。なお、Cプレーンとは制御プレーンであり、ネットワーク内の制御に使用される信号用のプロトコルを示す。

本実施形態では、BM-SC100は、MBMSのセッションを開始する際に、配下のRNC400-1,400-2と交渉して、配下のセル600におけるS-CCPCHの無線リソースおよびMBMSデータの送信タイミングを決定する。
(6-1)第6の実施形態の構成
本実施形態では、1台のRNCに通知されたMBSFN情報を、Iurインターフェース経由で、他のRNCへ通知する。これにより、SGSNとRNC間のIuインターフェースのリソースを節約することが可能となる。
本実施形態の移動通信システムのMBMSのセッション開始時のCプレーンシーケンスチャートは、図5と同様であるため、説明を省略する。
(7-1)第7の実施形態の構成
本実施形態の移動通信システムは、本発明をevolved HSPA(High Speed Packet Access)のネットワークまたはLTE(Long Term Evolution)のネットワークに適用した場合の例である。
本実施形態は、RNC400に対して適用していた上述の第1~第6の実施形態と同様の方法を、NodeB500に対して適用したものであり、動作の説明は省略する。
(8-1)第8の実施形態の構成
本実施形態では、1台のNodeBに通知されたMBSFN情報を、インターフェース経由で、他のNodeBへ通知する。これにより、BM-SCとNodeB間のインターフェースのリソースを節約することが可能となる。
本実施形態は、上述の第6の実施形態をFlat Architectureに対応する構成に変更し、RNC400に対して適用していた第6の実施形態と同様の方法を、NodeB500に対して適用したものであるため、動作の説明は省略する。

なお、本発明のBM-SC100、RNC400、およびNodeB500にて行われる方法は、コンピュータに実行させるためのプログラムに適用してもよい。また、そのプログラムを記憶媒体に格納することも可能であり、ネットワークを介して外部に提供することも可能である。

- 移動局と、セルを形成し、該セル内の移動局に対してMBMSデータを送信する基地局と、接続された基地局を制御する制御局と、を有してなる移動通信システムであって、
接続された制御局に対し、セルにおける周波数およびMBMSデータの送信タイミングを指示するコアネットワークノードをさらに有し、
前記制御局は、
他の制御局と時刻同期をとり、
接続された基地局に対し、前記コアネットワークノードから指示された周波数のセルへの設定を指示し、
接続された基地局に対し、前記コアネットワークノードから指示された送信タイミングに合わせてMBMSデータを送信し、
前記移動局が前記MBMSデータを受信する、移動通信システム。 - 前記コアネットワークノードは、
セルにおける周波数を含む無線リソースの設定値およびMBMSデータの送信タイミングの設定値をメッセージに含め、

- 前記通信部は、前記コアネットワークノードから、セルにおける周波数を含む無線リソースの設定値の組み合わせを表す識別子と、MBMSデータの送信タイミングの設定値と、を含むメッセージを受信し、
