Description

연속 주조 주편용 주형 및 주형의 냉각능 조정방법
본 발명은 연속 주조 공정으로 제조되는 주편(Cast-Piece)용 주형 및 주형의 냉각능 조정방법에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로 제강 공정은 용선 예비 처리 공정, 전로 정련 공정, 이차 정련 공정 및 연속 주조 공정 순으로 진행된다.
연속 주조 공정에서 제조되는 주편(슬라브, 빌렛, 블룸, 빔 블랭크 등을 총칭)은 도1에 도시한 바와 같이 래들(Ladle, 도시안됨)로부터 액체 상태의 용강(4)을 공급 받아, 이를 저장하는 턴디쉬(1, Tundish)를 거쳐 침지 노즐(2)을 통해 주형(3: Mould)을 통과하면서, 주형(3)에서 냉각작용에 의해 미응고 용강(6)의 가장자리부터 고체상태의 응고층, 즉 응고 쉘(5 : Shell)을 형성하게 된다. 이와 같이 용강이 냉각된 응고 쉘(5)은 그 하부에 설치된 가이드 롤(도시 안됨)에 의해 안내를 받으면서 스프레이 노즐(도시 안됨)로부터 분사되는 2차 냉각수에 의해 응고가 진행되어 완전한 고체 상태의 주편 형태로 나타난다.

도2를 참조하여 연속 주조 주편용 주형(3) 내에서 상기 몰드 플럭스층(10)을 보다 자세히 살펴 보면, 주형(3) 내에 분말 혹을 과립 형태로 투입된 몰드 플럭스는 미응고 용강(6)의 탕면 상에서 용융되어 상기 탕면(6a)상에서 차례로 액상층(11 : 용융 슬래그층), 소결층(12 : 반용융층) 및 파우더층(13 : 미용융층)을 형성하게 된다. 상기 액상층(11: 용융 슬래그층)은 거의 투명하기 때문에 미응고 용강(6)에서 발생하는 500 ~ 4000nm 사이의 파장을 갖는 복사파가 쉽게 통과하게 된다. 반면에 소결층(12 : 반용융층) 및 파우더층(13 : 미용융층)은 광학적으로 불투명하므로 복사파를 차단하여 탕면 온도가 급격히 떨어지는 것을 방지한다. 상기 파우더층(13)은 용강 내의 개재물 흡수기능도 한다.
그리고, 몰드 플럭스는 용강의 열에 의해 용해된 후 상기 용융 슬래그층(11)이 주형(3)과 응고 쉘(5) 사이로 흘러 들어가 주형(3) 내측벽에서 응고되어 고상 슬래그 필름(14)을 형성하고, 미응고 용강(6)층에서는 액상 슬래그 필름(11)을 형성하여 용강(6)과 주형(3)사이의 열전달을 제어하고 윤활능을 향상시킨다.
상기 몰드 플럭스는 주조 대상 강종의 응고 특성을 고려하여 재질을 선정하고 상기 용융 슬래그층의 두께, 유입량과 같은 유입 조건이 최적화되어야 한다.
연속 주조 공정으로 제조되는 주편의 표면 품질 및 내부 품질은 최종 제품의 품질을 결정하는데, 특히 주편의 표면 품질은 주형 내에 초기 응고 양상에 따라 큰 영향을 받으므로, 주형 전체면에 걸쳐서 균일한 응고층을 형성시키는 조건을 확보하는 것이 제조상의 핵심 기술로 알려져 있다.
주편의 초기 응고층의 냉각능은 주형의 냉각 수로 구조에 의해 거의 결정되지만, 한 번 시공된 냉각 수로 구조는 개조가 어렵기 때문에 주형의 냉각능 조정이 어려워 품질 개선 및 강종 확대의 제약이 커서 이에 대한 개선책이 절실이 요구되고 있다.
도3은 연속 주조 공정으로 주편을 제조할 시에 주형의 위치별, 즉 탕면으로부터 거리에 따른 열유속 변화를 나타내는데, 주형 탕면에서 열유속은 평균 열유속 대비 매우 높은 값을 가진다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이는 탕면에서 급격한 초기 응고로 인해 불균일 응고층의 형성 가능성이 매우 높으며, 면세로 크랙 발생 가능성이 매우 높게 된다. 따라서, 종래의 냉각수로와 몰드 플럭스에 의해 형성되는 파우더층에 의해 주형의 초기 응고에 대한 냉각능을 조정하기에는 한계가 있다는 문제점이 있었다.
도4의 (a) 및 (b)는 연속 주조 공정으로 제조되는 슬라브(21) 및 슬라브용 주형(20)을 나타내는데, 탕면에 가까운 위치의 높은 열유속부에서 불균일 응고층(21a)이 형성됨에 따라 슬라브(21)의 온도 편차가 크게 발생하고 이에 기인한 열응력으로 말미암아 슬라브 표면에 면세로 크랙(21b)이 발생한 상태를 나타낸다. 따라서, 이러한 주조 결함의 발생을 방지하도록 주형의 냉각능을 개선할 필요가 있다.
따라서, 본 발명은 상기한 바와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해 이루어진 것으로서, 본 발명의 목적은 연속 주조 공정으로 제조되는 주편의 열유속이 큰 부분에 냉각능을 용이하게 조정하여 주편 전체에 걸쳐 균일한 응고층을 형성하므로써 주조 결함의 발생을 방지하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형 및 주형의 냉각능 조정방법을 제공하는 데 있다.
상기 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명에 의한 연속 주조 주편용 주형 및 주형의 냉각능 조정방법은, 주편을 성형하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형에 있어서, 주형의 내부 표면에는 주편을 형성하는 응고층의 냉각속도를 줄이도록 다수의 딤플이 형성되되, 상기 딤플 내부에 채워지는 몰드 플럭스가 흘러내리지 않도록 상기 딤플의 입구에는 돌출부가 형성되어, 주형의 냉각능을 조정한다.
또한, 주형의 내부 표면에는 주편을 형성하는 응고층의 냉각속도를 줄이도록 다수의 딤플을 형성하여, 용강이 주형에 투입되기 전에 상기 딤플에 몰드 플럭스를 채워서 주조시 주형의 냉각능을 조정한다.
상기 딤플은 상기 돌출부에서 내부로 곡면을 이룬 구 형태나, 상기 돌출부에서 내부로 경사면을 이룬 원뿔 형태 등으로 이루어진다.
상기 딤플의 내부에는 몰드 플럭스의 이동을 줄이도록 요철부가 형성되거나, 몰드 플럭스가 상기 딤플의 외부로 흘러내리지 않도록 보조 돌출부가 형성될 수도 있다.
상기 딤플은 주조시의 탕면기준으로 위방향으로 50mm에서 아래방향으로 100mm까지에 형성된다.
상기 딤플은 딤플의 모양, 크기 및 분포를 마스킹 필름 디자인 단계에서 임의로 설계 가능할 뿐만 아니라 에칭 시간 조절로 딤플의 가공 깊이도 제어 용이한포토 에칭 가공, 레이저 어블레이션 에칭가공, 레이저 패턴닝 에칭 가공 등에 의해 형성된다.
본 발명에 의한 연속 주조 주편용 주형 및 주형의 냉각능 조정방법에 의하면, 주형의 냉각수로를 변경하지 않고도 주형의 표면에 형성된 딤플에 의해 주편의 열유속이 큰 부분에 냉각능을 용이하게 효과적으로 조정하여 주편 전체에 걸쳐 균일한 응고층을 형성하므로써 주조 결함의 발생을 방지하여 품질을 높이는 효과가 있다.

이하, 본 발명의 실시예에 대해 첨부도면을 참조하여 상세히 설명한다.
도5는 본 발명의 제1실시예가 적용된 연속 주조 주편용 주형(주조 상태를 나타냄)을 나타내는 일부 단면도이고, 도6은 도5의 주형의 표면에 형성된 딤플을 나타내는 평면도이다.
도5에 도시한 바와 같이, 연속 주조 주편용 주형(100)의 내부 표면에는 응고층(5 : 응고셀)의 냉각속도를 줄이도록 요입홈 형태로 된 다수의 딤플(114: Dimple)이 형성되어 주형의 냉각능을 조정한다.
상기 주형에서 냉각 수로는 공지의 구조로 되어 있으며 도면에서는 생략되어 있다.
도5는 주조하는 상태를 나타내는데 소결층과 고상 슬래그 필름은 생략되어 있다(도2 참조). 주형(100) 내에 분말 혹을 과립 형태로 투입되는 몰드 플럭스는 미응고 용강(6)의 탕면 상에서 용융되어 상기 탕면(6a)상에서 차례로 액상층(11 : 용융 슬래그층), 소결층(도2에 도시) 및 파우더층(13 : 미용융층)을 형성하게 된다. 상기 액상층(11: 용융 슬래그층)은 거의 투명하기 때문에 미응고 용강(6)에서 발생하는 500 ~ 4000nm 사이의 파장을 갖는 복사파가 쉽게 통과하게 된다. 반면에 소결층(도2에 도시) 및 파우더층(13 : 미용융층)은 광학적으로 불투명하므로 복사파를 차단하여 탕면 온도가 급격히 떨어지는 것을 방지한다. 상기 파우더층(13)은 용강 내의 개재물 흡수기능도 한다.
그리고, 몰드 플럭스는 용강의 열에 의해 용해된 후 상기 용융 슬래그층(11)이 주형(100)과 응고 쉘(5) 사이로 흘러 들어가 주형(100) 내측벽에서 응고되어 고상 슬래그 필름(도2에 도시)을 형성하고, 미응고 용강(6)층에서는 액상 슬래그 필름(11)을 형성하여 용강(6)과 주형(100)사이의 열전달을 제어하고 윤활능을 향상시킨다.
상기 딤플(114)은 주형(100)에서 주조시에 열유속이 높아서 완냉화가 필요한 완냉화 처리부(HP)에 형성되어 있는데, 상기 완냉화 처리부(HP)는 주조시의 탕면(6a)을 기준으로 위방향으로 50mm에서 아래방향으로 100mm까지에 형성되어 있다.
상기 탕면(6a)은 주형 내에 채워진 쇳물(용강)의 높이로서, 통상 정상 조업중에는 주형 상면에서 일정한 깊이 아래에 위치한다. 이상적으로는 용강을 최대한 채운 상태 즉, 탕면의 높이를 주형 상면 근처에 위치시키는 것이 생산성을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법(액상을 고체로 굳히는 주형의 주 기능을 최대한 발휘하도록 하므로)이긴 하지만, 실제 조업 중에는 래들을 교체하거나 턴디쉬를 교체하거나 용강 공급량 조절장치(슬라이딩 게이트;sliding gate, 스토퍼;stopper)에 문제가 발생하거나 또는 주조속도가 변경될 경우 등으로 인해 탕면의 높이는 변화될 수 있고, 주형에 과도한 양의 용강이 채워질 경우 주형에서 용강이 넘치는 오버 플로우(overflow)라는 대형 조업사고가 발생될 수 있으므로 이를 방지하기 위해 탕면의 높이를 주형 상면에서 아래 방향으로 50~100mm의 값으로 설정한다.
정상 조업시 탕면을 어느 높이로 유지시키느냐는 주조기 설비 특성, 조업 안정성 및 생산성 등을 반영한 각 연주(연속주조)공장 별 조업 특성값이다. 통상 조업중 주형 탕면 변동량은 목표값±3mm 이고, 탕면부 용강과 침지노즐 궤적부의 슬래그 라인(slag line)에 의한 침식 저감을 목적으로 탕면 높이는 15~20mm로 조정한다. 주형의 폭이 광폭(2000mm 이상)인 경우 폭 중앙부와 폭 단부의 탕면 높이 변화가 발생하게 되는데, 이는 자연적인 용강의 출렁거림에 의해 발생하는 것으로 주형의 폭이 넓은 경우 심하며, 폭 중앙부와 폭 단부간의 탕면 높이차이는 0~10mm이다. 그리고, 몰드 탕면 상부로 투입되는 몰드 파우더 층의 높이는 10~15mm이다. 이러한 인자로 인한 변동/특성값은 총합은 50mm이다. 따라서, 정상 조업중 탕면 변동요인, 조업 불안정에 의한 이상 변동 요인 및 완냉화 효과를 극대화하기 위해 딤플내로 몰드 파우더(몰드 플럭스)가 효과적으로 투입되기 위한 조건 등을 감안할 때 상기 완냉화 처리부(HP)는 탕면으로부터 위방향으로 50mm가 되는 것이 가장 바람직하다.
그리고, 주형에 딤플을 형성하는 근본적인 목적은 주편 표면에 '크랙'이라는 표면결함을 방지하기 위한 것인데, 액상 용강이 주형과 접촉하여 고체화될 때 수반되는 응력은 응고 수축력, 상변화에 의한 변태응력, 열응력 등으로서 이들이 크랙 발생의 구동력으로 작용한다. 고온의 액상 용강이 차가운 주형면에 접촉되어 고체화 될 때(초기 응고시), 매우 빠른 냉각에 의한 응고 불균일(응고 촉진부와 응고 지연부)이 발생되고, 초기 응고 불균일은 응고쉘과 주형사이의 열유속에 비례하는데, 열유속은 도3에 나타낸 바와 같이 탕면에서 최대이고, 탕면 하부로 갈수록 점차로 감소한다. 따라서, 급속한 냉각에 의한 열유속이 커서 초기 응고 불균일이 매우 큰 부위(3MW/m2 이상, 탕면에서 50mm까지)에서 상기 크랙 발생의 구동력이 작용할 경우 크랙이 발생하게 된다. 따라서, 탕면에서 50mm까지의 높은 열유속부와 탕면의 위치변동 50mm를 합한 치수를 감안할 때 상기 완냉화 처리부(HP)는 탕면으로부터 아래방향으로 100mm가 되는 것이 가장 바람직하다.
한편, 주형 전체면에 딤플을 형성하면 전체적인 완냉화에 의한 생산성이 크게 저하되고, 탕면에서 아래방향으로 100mm이하에 딤플을 형성하더라도 초기 응고 균일화의 효과가 거의 없다. 그리고, 일반적으로 주형 하단부로 갈수록 응고 쉘(주편)과 주형 사이의 마찰력이 증대하므로 주형의 마모가 심해 지는데, 특히 주형의 하부까지 딤플을 형성하게 되면 고가인 주형의 수명을 단축시키는 악영향을 초래한다.
상기 딤플(114)을 탕면의 상부에도 형성하는 이유는 탕면의 목표값 변동이나 주조 중 탕면 레벨의 변동을 고려한 것이다.
상기 딤플(114)은 상기 완냉화 처리부(HP)를 제외한 곳에도 냉각능의 조정필요에 따라 적절히 형성할 수 있다.
주조시 상기 딤플(114)에는 공기 또는 몰드 플럭스가 충진됨에 따라 열전달 저항을 증대시킴으로써 열 유속을 감소시키므로 응고층(5 : 응고 쉘)의 초기 냉각속도를 줄이게 된다. 따라서, 완냉화 처리부(HP)에 의해 형성되는 주편의 냉각 속도를 줄이므로써 주형 표면 전체적으로 균일한 냉각속도가 유지되게 하여 주편의 주조 결함을 방지하게 된다.
한편, 용강이 주형에 투입되기 전에 상기 딤플(114)에는 분말 혹은 과립상태의 몰드 플럭스를 채워 주조하는 것이 바람직하다. 이와 같이 용강을 주형에 투입하기 전에 딤플(114)에 몰드 플럭스(분말 또는 과립)를 채워 주조하게 되면, 주형의 초기 응고에 대한 냉각능을 더욱 용이하게 조정하여 주조 결함을 방지할 수 있다.
상기 딤플(114)은 주형의 형태에 따라 완냉화 처리부(HP)에 적절하게 형성하며, 딤플의 형상, 크기, 분포 및 딤플의 크기 등은 주형의 각 부위의 냉각능(응고층을 냉각시키는 능력, 즉 냉각속도)에 따라 적절하게 결정하여 형성한다.
상기 딤플(114)은 포토 에칭 가공에 의해 형성되는데, 포토 에칭 가공에 의하면 딤플의 형성, 크기, 분포 및 크기를 용이하게 조정하여 형성할 수 있다. 포토 에칭 가공에 의한 딤플의 형성방법은 빔 블랭크 처럼 복잡한 내부형상을 가지는 표면처리 기술로 적합하며, 대상 재질의 물성에 관계없이 임의로 식각할 수 있으므로 자유도가 매우 큰 표면가공법이다.
상기 포토 에칭 가공은 도7에 도시한 바와 같이, 마스킹 단계(S110), 노광 단계(S120), 현상 단계(S130), 에칭 단계(S140) 및 마무리 단계(S150)를 거쳐 상기 딤플(114)을 형성하는 가공 방법이다.
이하, 포토 에칭 가공을 도7에 따라 간단히 설명한다.
먼저 상기 마스킹 단계(S110)에서 주형(100)의 내부 표면에 감광액층(P1)과 마스킹 필름층(P2)을 형성한다.
다음에 노광단계(S120)에서 마스킹 필름층(P2)을 통해 감광액층(P1)에 자외선(UV)을 조사한다.
다음에 현상단계(S130)에서 현상액으로 딤플(114)을 형성할 부위를 제거한다. 이때 자외선이 조사되지 않은 필름 불투명부에는 감광반응이 일어나지 않아 현상액에 쉽게 녹아나고, 자외선이 조사된 필름 투명부에는 감광반응에 의한 경한 막으로 변성되어 현상액에도 녹아나지 않아 에칭 단계의 보호막으로 작용한다.
다음에 에칭 단계(S140)에서 에칭액(Et)으로 감광액이 제거된 부위를 식각하여, 마무리 단계(S150)에서 감광액층(P1)을 제거하면 주형(100)의 내부 표면에 소정 깊이의 딤플(114)이 형성된다.
상기 딤플(114)은 포토 에칭 가공 외에, 레이저 어블레이션(laser ablation) 에칭 가공 또는 레이저 패턴닝(laser patterning) 에칭 가공등 다양한 표면 가공법에 의해 형성될 수도 있다.
도8는 본 발명의 제2실시예가 적용된 연속 주조 주편용 주형(주조 상태를 나타냄)을 나타내는 일부 단면도이다. 도시한 바와 같이 본 실시예(제2실시예)에서는 연속 주조 주편용 주형(200)의 내부 표면에는 응고층(5 : 응고쉘)의 냉각속도를 줄이도록 요입홈 형태이면서 입구에 돌출부(214a)가 형성된 다수의 딤플(214: Dimple)이 형성되어 주형의 냉각능을 조정한다. 상기 돌출부(214a)에 의해 딤플(214)의 입구는 내부보다 좁게 되어 있다.
상기 딤플(214)는 돌출부(214a)에서 내부로 곡면을 이룬 구 형태로 이루어진다.
한편, 본 발명의 제2실시예가 적용된 연속 주조 주편용 주형의 딤플은, 도9에 도시한 바와 같이 내부에 채워지는 몰드 플럭스의 이동을 줄이도록 돌출부(314a)의 내측에는 요철부(314a)가 형성된 딤플(314)로 이루어지거나, 도10에 도시한 바와 같이 돌출부(414a)에서 내부로 경사면을 이룬 원뿔 형태의 딤플(414)로 이루어지거나, 도11에 도시한 바와 같이 몰드 플럭스가 딤플의 외부로 흘러내리지 않도록 돌출부(514a)의 내측에는 보조 돌출부(514b)가 형성된 딤플(514)로 이루어질 수도 있다.
이러한 제2실시예의 딤플 구성에서는 딤플(214)에 채워진 몰드 플럭스가 흘러 내리지 않으므로, 열전달 저항을 증대시켜 열 유속을 감소시키므로 응고층(5 : 응고 쉘)의 초기 냉각속도를 효과적으로 줄이게 된다. 즉, 제1실시예에서는 딤플의 입구와 내부가 동일한 단면적으로 된 구멍으로 형성되어 있으므로, 몰드 플럭스의 흐름과 용강의 흐름 및 진동 등으로 인해 딤플의 입구가 마모되어 딤플에 채워진 몰드 플럭스가 쉽게 흘러 내려 냉각속도를 줄이는 효과가 미약할 수 있지만, 본 실시예에는 이를 보상하여 주므로 주조 결함을 효과적으로 방지할 수 있다.
상기 제1실시예의 형상으로 된 딤플에서는 주형면과 응고 쉘사이의 몰드 플럭스(고상+액상)층의 두께와 딤플 내의 몰드 플럭스(고상)양의 제어가 어렵고, 딤플이 마모될수록 전열시효 특성이 더욱 증대되어 주형과 응고 쉘사이의 전열(heat flux)시효특성이 발생하는 문제가 있으나, 제2실시예의 형상으로 된 딤플에서는 딤플내 초기에 충전된 몰드 플럭스(고상)의 양이 그대로 유지되고, 내마모성이 증대되므로 주형과 응고 쉘사이의 전열(heat flux)시효 특성이 방지되어 초기응고의 균일화를 더욱 높이는 효과가 있다.
한편, 제1실시예와 마찬가지로, 용강이 주형에 투입되기 전에 제2실시예의 딤플(214) 내에도 분말 혹은 과립상태의 몰드 플럭스를 채워 주조하는 것이 바람직하다. 이와 같이 용강을 주형에 투입하기 전에 딤플(214)에 몰드 플럭스를 채워 주조하게 되면, 주형의 초기 응고에 대한 냉각능을 더욱더 용이하게 조정하여 주조 결함을 거의 완벽하게 방지할 수 있다.
제2실시예의 나머지 구성은 제1실시예와 동일하므로 자세한 설명은 생략한다.
도12는 본 발명의 제2실시예의 딤플을 포토 에칭 가공으로 형성하는 단계를 나타내는 공정도이다. 도시한 바와 같이, 주형(200)의 내부 표면에 감광액층(P1)과 마스킹 필름층(P2)을 형성하는 마스킹 단계(S210)를 거친 후, 상기 마스킹 필름층(P2)을 통해 감광액층(P1)에 자외선(UV)을 조사하는 노광 단계(S220)를 거친 다음, 현상액으로 딤플(114)을 형성할 부위(자외선이 조사되지 않은 필름 불투명부)를 제거하는 현상단계(S230)를 거친 후, 에칭액(Et)을 수직으로 분사하여 감광액이 제거된 부위를 식각하는 제1에칭 단계(S240)을 거친 후, 분사노즐을 통해 에칭액(Et)을 좌우로 스윙(swing)하고 회전(rotation)하면서 경사방향으로 분사하여 감광액이 제거된 부위를 식각하는 제2에칭 단계(S250)을 거친 다음, 감광액층(P1)을 제거하는 마무리 단계(S260)을 거치면, 주형(200)의 내부 표면에 입구가 좁은 소정 깊이의 딤플(214)이 형성된다.
도13는 본 발명의 제2실시예의 딤플을 레이저 어블레이션(laser ablation) 에칭 가공으로 형성하는 단계를 나타내는 공정도이다. 도시한 바와 같이, 주형(200)의 내부 표면에 감광액층(P1)을 형성하여 빛 또는 자외선으로 감광시켜 튼튼한 막 강도를 지니게 하고 딤플을 형성할 부위에 고출력의 레이저 빔을 조사하여 감광 폴리머를 녹여 내는 레이저 어블레이션 단계(S310)을 거친 후, 에칭액(Et)을 수직으로 분사하여 감광 폴리머(감광액)이 제거된 부위를 식각하는 제1에칭 단계(S320)을 거친 후, 분사노즐을 통해 에칭액(Et)을 좌우로 스윙(swing)하고 회전(rotation)하면서 경사방향으로 분사하여 감광액이 제거된 부위를 식각하는 제2에칭 단계(S330)을 거친 다음, 감광액층(P1)을 제거하는 마무리 단계(S340)을 거치면, 주형(200)의 내부 표면에 입구가 좁은 소정 깊이의 딤플(214)이 형성된다.
도14는 본 발명의 제2실시예의 딤플을 레이저 패턴닝(laser ablation) 에칭 가공으로 형성하는 단계를 나타내는 공정도이다. 도시한 바와 같이, 주형(200)의 내부 표면에 감광액층(P1)을 형성하여 딤플을 형성하지 않을 부위에 저출력의 레이저 빔을 조사하여 감광으로 튼튼한 막 강도를 지녀서 에칭 단게에서 내산화성 보호막을 작용하게 하는 패턴을 형성하는 레이저 패턴닝 단계(S410)를 거친 후, 레이저 빔이 조사되지 않은 부위를 현상액으로 녹여내는 현상 단계(S420)를 거친 다음, 에칭액(Et)을 수직으로 분사하여 감광액이 제거된 부위를 식각하는 제1에칭 단계(S430)을 거친 후, 분사노즐을 통해 에칭액(Et)을 좌우로 스윙(swing)하고 회전(rotation)하면서 경사방향으로 분사하여 감광액이 제거된 부위를 식각하는 제2에칭 단계(S440)을 거친 다음, 감광액층(P1)을 제거하는 마무리 단계(S450)을 거치면, 주형(200)의 내부 표면에 입구가 좁은 소정 깊이의 딤플(214)이 형성된다.
도15은 본 발명이 적용된 딤플처리 주형(제1실시예)과 종래 일반 주형을 사용하여 주편을 제조할 시에 주형의 위치별, 즉 탕면으로부터 거리에 따른 열유속 변화를 나타내는데, 본 발명이 적용된 딤플처리 주형(제1실시예)에서는 종래 일반 주형에 비해 탕면 근처에서 열유속이 낮음을 알 수 있다.
따라서, 본 발명의 딤플처리 주형으로 주조하는 주편은 초기 응고로 인한 불균일을 완화시켜 응고층(응고셀) 표면의 크랙을 저감할 수 있어 주편의 품질을 개선하고 대상 강종의 확대가 가능하다.
그리고, 본 발명은 냉각수로나 몰드 플럭스와는 별도로 딤플을 통해 주형의 냉각능을 용이하게 조정할 수 있다.

Claims (12)

  1. 주편을 성형하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형에 있어서,
    주형의 내부 표면에는 주편을 형성하는 응고층의 냉각속도를 줄이도록 몰드 플럭스가 채워지는 다수의 딤플이 형성되되,
    상기 딤플 내부에 채워지는 몰드 플럭스가 상기 딤플의 외부로 흘러내리지 않도록 상기 딤플의 입구에는 돌출부가 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형.
  2. 청구항 1에 있어서,
    상기 딤플은 상기 돌출부에서 내부로 곡면을 이룬 구 형태로 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형.
  3. 청구항 1에 있어서,
    상기 딤플은 상기 돌출부에서 내부로 경사면을 이룬 원뿔 형태로 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형.
  4. 청구항 1 내지 청구항 3 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 딤플의 내부에는 몰드 플럭스의 이동을 줄이도록 요철부가 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형.
  5. 청구항 1 내지 청구항 3 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 딤플의 내부에는 몰드 플럭스가 상기 딤플의 외부로 흘러내리지 않도록 보조 돌출부가 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형.
  6. 청구항 1 내지 청구항 3 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 딤플은 주조시의 탕면기준으로 위방향으로 50mm에서 아래방향으로 100mm까지에 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형.
  7. 주편을 성형하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형의 냉각능 조정방법에 있어서,
    주형의 내부 표면에는 주편을 형성하는 응고층의 냉각속도를 줄이도록 다수의 딤플을 형성하여, 용강이 주형에 투입되기 전에 상기 딤플에 몰드 플럭스를 채워서 주조시 주형의 냉각능을 조정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형의 냉각능 조정방법.
  8. 청구항 7에 있어서,
    상기 딤플의 입구에는 돌출부를 형성하여, 상기 딤플에 채워지는 몰드 플럭스가 흘러내리지 않게 하여 주형의 냉각능을 조정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형의 냉각능 조정방법.
  9. 청구항 8에 있어서,
    상기 딤플은 상기 돌출부에서 내부로 곡면을 이룬 구 형태로 형성하여, 상기 딤플에 채워지는 몰드 플럭스가 흘러내리지 않게 하여 주형의 냉각능을 조정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형의 냉각능 조정방법.
  10. 청구항 8에 있어서,
    상기 딤플은 상기 돌출부에서 내부로 경사면을 이룬 원뿔 형태로 형성하여, 상기 딤플에 채워지는 몰드 플럭스가 흘러내리지 않게 하여 주형의 냉각능을 조정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형의 냉각능 조정방법.
  11. 청구항 7 내지 청구항 10 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 딤플의 내부에는 몰드 플럭스의 이동을 줄이도록 요철부를 형성하여, 상기 딤플에 채워지는 몰드 플럭스가 흘러내리지 않게 하여 주형의 냉각능을 조정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형의 냉각능 조정방법.
  12. 청구항 7 내지 청구항 10 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 딤플의 내부에는 몰드 플럭스가 상기 딤플의 외부로 흘러내리지 않도록 보조 돌출부를 형성하여, 상기 딤플에 채워지는 몰드 플럭스가 흘러내리지 않게 하여 주형의 냉각능을 조정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 연속 주조 주편용 주형의 냉각능 조정방법.
