Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for preparing PLA fiber using coffee extract waste; although PLA fiber of the prior art has been prepared using potato and cornstarch, the PLA fiber prepared by such a method lacks elasticity and consequently is easily damaged even by weak impacts, which presents the issue of durability. However, the present invention enables the utilization of coffee extract waste that is disposed of unutilized, and affords superior elasticity and durability compared with PLA fiber prepared from raw materials such as potato and cornstarch.
