L'invention concerne un phare pour véhicule, comprenant un réflecteur présentant deux foyers, une source lumineuse disposée dans un premier foyer du réflecteur, une lentille qui, en considérant la direction du rayonnement principal, est disposée en amont du réflecteur, lentille dont le foyer est disposé à proximité du second foyer du réflecteur, et un dispositif à diaphragme disposé entre la lentille et le réflecteur, renfermant un corps creux longitudinal, caractérisé en ce qu'au moyen d'une unité de réglage, le dispositif à diaphragme est monté rotatif, en plusieurs positions de rotation, autour d'un axe de rotation horizontal et perpendiculaire à l'axe optique, et en ce qu'un bord de diaphragme s'étendant en direction longitudinale du corps creux est associé respectivement aux positions de rotation, en vue d'établir une limite clarté-obscurité pour une répartition de lumière prédéterminée, et en ce que le corps creux longitudinal est réalisé sous la forme d'une pièce cintrée ou d'une pièce emboutie par emboutissage profond.
