Abstract
Description
本発明は、複数のウィンドウを表示可能な場合において、小さい表示領域であっても、ユーザがウィンドウ群をなす各ウィンドウの配置を把握することができ、さらにウィンドウ群のうちの少なくとも一部については、その内容が容易に視認できるような表示を行うことを目的とする。
本発明は、上述した実施形態と異なる形態で実施することが可能である。本発明は、例えば、以下のような形態で実施することも可能である。また、以下に示す変形例は、各々を適宜に組み合わせてもよい。
上述の実施形態において、例えば、ウィンドウが1つの場合など、第2の縮尺に応じた大きさで表示した場合であっても、全体画像Gに含まれる全てのウィンドウが表示領域Rに収まる場合には、全体画面pを表示せずに、拡大画面qをそのまま表示してもよい。つまり、制御部11は、第2の縮尺に応じた大きさのウィンドウ群が表示領域Rに収まる場合には、ウィンドウ群を第1の縮尺に応じた大きさで表示させずに、第2の縮尺に応じた大きさで表示部13の表示領域Rに表示させる。この場合、制御部11は、第2の縮尺に応じた大きさの全体画像Gが表示領域Rに収まるか否かを判定し、収まる場合には、全体画像Gを第1の縮尺に応じた大きさで表示させずに、第2の縮尺に応じた大きさで表示させればよい。
上述の実施形態において、制御部11が全体画面pを表示する際の第2の縮尺は、一定値であってもよく、また、可変であってもよい。具体的には、例えば、制御部11が、全体画面pにおいて表示すべきウィンドウの全てを表示可能な縮尺を、ウィンドウの数や配置態様に応じてその都度変更するようにしてもよい。また、これに限らず、全体画面pにおいては制御部11が常に一定の縮尺に応じた大きさでウィンドウ群を表示するようにしてもよい。
上述の実施形態において、制御部11が、全体画面pを表示している期間を、表示内容に応じて適宜変更するようにしてもよい。例えば、表示ウィンドウの数が多いほど、全体画面pの表示期間を長くするようにしてもよい。また、例えば、制御部11が、第1の縮尺と第2の縮尺との差分が大きいほど、全体画面pの表示時間を長くするように制御してもよい。要するに、制御部11が、全体配置を把握しづらい場合ほど、全体画面pの表示期間を長くしてもよい。
また、全体画面pから拡大画面qに遷移するときのスピード・期間を適宜変更するようにしてもよい。例えば、制御部11が、表示ウィンドウの数が多いほど、スピードを遅くするようにしてもよく、また、例えば、ウィンドウの面積の合計が大きいほどスピードを遅くするようにしてもよい。また、第1の縮尺と第2の縮尺との差分が大きいほど、スピードを遅くするようにしてもよい。要するに、制御部11が、全体配置を把握しづらい場合ほど、スピードを遅くして期間を長くするようにしてもよい。
上述した実施形態では、ウィジェットが無線通信部12を介して情報を取得する例を挙げて説明したが、ウィジェットは、無線通信部12以外の手段を介して情報を取得することも可能である。例えば、本発明に係る情報処理装置がいわゆるICチップを備える場合には、ICチップを介して情報を取得してもよい。これにより、例えばプリペイドサービスを利用可能な場合には、その残高を表す情報を取得し表示することができる。また、本発明に係る情報処理装置がGPS(Global Positioning System)等による測位機能を有する場合には、かかる測位機能を用いて位置情報(緯度及び経度や、所定の地点からの距離など)を取得してもよい。
上述した実施形態では、図6(c)に示したピクトグラムI1~I3を拡大画面qに表示させる例を挙げて説明したが、拡大画面qに表示されるピクトグラムはこれに限らない。拡大画面qに表示されるピクトグラムとしては、例えば信頼性の高いウィジェットであることを表すピクトグラム、GPS等による測位機能の使用を表すピクトグラム、電子マネーを取り扱うウィジェットであることを表すピクトグラムなどが考えられる。また、使用する度に課金が行われることを表すピクトグラムや、その金額を表すピクトグラムが表示されてもよい。要するに、利用者がウィジェットを選択する際に有益となる情報や、利用者に不利益を与える可能性があることを伝える情報(例えば、通信料金の発生)などをピクトグラムとして提示すればよい。
上述した実施形態では、拡大画面qにおいて、前回のウィジェットの一覧表示において選択されたウィンドウ、又はユーザによる操作部14の操作によって新たに選択されたウィンドウが表示領域Rに配置されるように全体画像Gが表示されていたが、これに限らない。例えば、制御部11がウィジェットの起動回数を計数して、起動中のウィジェットのうち起動回数が最も大きいウィジェットのウィンドウが表示領域Rに配置されるように全体画像Gを表示させてもよい。あるいは、制御部11が、起動中のウィジェットのうちダウンロードされた日時が最も新しいウィジェットのウィンドウが表示領域Rに配置されるように全体画像Gを表示させてもよい。また、通信端末装置10がタッチパネルを備えている場合には、制御部11が、全体画面pが表示されている間に、ユーザによるタッチパネルの接触操作で選択されたウィンドウが表示領域Rに配置されるように全体画像Gを表示させてもよい。
上述した実施形態は、ウィンドウが重ならないようにした実施形態である。しかし、本発明は、ウィンドウが重なる場合の実施を妨げるものではなく、いわゆるオーバーラップウィンドウ方式においても実施され得る。また、本発明は、いわゆるタイリングウィンドウ方式のように複数のウィンドウを並べて表示する場合にも適用可能である。この場合において、隣り合うウィンドウどうしは、間隔を有さずに配置されてもよい。
なお、本発明は、ウィンドウの代わりにアイコン等の画像の配置を変更するものであってもよい。換言すれば、本発明でいう「ウィンドウ」は、アイコン等の画像を含み得る概念である。
上述の実施形態では、ウィンドウの配置を決定した後に、全体画面pを表示するようにしていたが、これに限らず、ウィンドウがランダムに配置された全体画面pを表示した後、予め定められたアルゴリズムに従ってウィンドウの配置を変更しながら拡大画面qに遷移するようにしてもよい。すなわち、制御部11が、ウィンドウの配置が変更されながら拡大画面qに遷移するように、表示領域Rの表示内容をアニメーションで徐々に変更するようにしてもよい。この場合は、制御部11は、第1の縮尺から第2の縮尺へと徐々に縮尺を小さくしながら、ウィンドウの位置を徐々に変更する。
上述した実施形態では、本発明をウィジェットの一覧表示に適用した例を挙げて説明したが、これに限らない。例えば、通信端末装置10がメール機能やウェブ閲覧機能などの複数の機能を有しており、各機能に対応する複数のウィンドウを表示し得る場合には、実行中の各機能に対応するウィンドウの一覧表示に適用してもよい。
また、上述した実施形態では、待ち受け画面からウィジェットの一覧表示に遷移する例を挙げて説明したが、これに限らない。例えば、通話中に表示される通話画面やスケジュール画面、アドレス帳画面、メールやゲームなどのアプリケーション画面からウィジェットの一覧表示に遷移してもよい。この場合にも、いったん全体画面pが表示された後、拡大画面qが表示される。
上述した実施形態では、全体画面pが表示された後に、自動的に拡大画面qが表示されていたが、これに限らない。例えば、全体画面pが表示されている状態において、ユーザにより操作部14の所定のキーが操作された時に、選択ウィンドウを中心に拡大された拡大画面qが表示されてもよい。
上述した実施形態では、ユーザが操作部14のキーを操作することにより、各種の指示の入力が行われていたが、これに限らない。例えば、操作部14の各キーに対応するソフトボタンを表示部13に表示させて、このソフトボタンの操作により各種の指示の入力が行われてもよい。また、通信端末装置10がタッチパネルを備えている場合には、このソフトボタンの操作をタッチパネルが受け付けてもよい。
上述したウィジェットの一覧表示において、ウィンドウが選択された選択時とウィンドウが選択されていない非選択時とで、当該ウィンドウに対応するウィジェットにより異なる処理が実行されてもよい。例えば、時計ウィジェットであれば、非選択時にはアナログ時計を模した画像で日時を表示する処理が実行されるが、選択時にはデジタル時計を模した画像で日時を表示する処理が実行されるといったものが考えられる。
本発明におけるウィンドウは、上述した実施形態における「ウィジェット」に割り当てられた表示領域に限らず、他のアプリケーションプログラム(例えば、ネイティブアプリケーション)に割り当てられた表示領域であってもよい。同様に、ウィジェットも、Javaアプリケーションに限らず、ネイティブアプリケーションやWebブラウザを表示するアプリケーションプログラムなどの他のアプリケーションプログラムとして実現されてもよい。さらに、上述した実施形態においては、Javaアプリケーションである一覧表示アプリケーションを実行することにより複数のウィンドウを表示させるようにしたが、複数のウィンドウを表示させることは、例えばOSによるなど、他のアプリケーションプログラムによって実現されてもよい。
上述した実施形態において、本発明に係る情報処理装置に相当するものは、制御部11であるとみなすこともできるし、通信端末装置10であるとみなすこともできる。なお、本発明における操作に相当するものは、キーの押下によらず、例えば、音声による指示を認識した結果であってもよい。
Claims (6)
- ウィンドウ群の表示が指示されると、表示手段の表示領域に当該ウィンドウ群を第1の大きさで表示させてから、当該ウィンドウ群のうちの少なくとも一部を前記第1の大きさよりも大きい第2の大きさで当該表示領域に表示させる表示制御手段と、
前記表示領域に表示されているウィンドウを指定する操作を操作手段が受け付けると、当該ウィンドウが指定されたときに実行される処理として予め決められた処理を実行する処理実行手段と
を具備することを特徴とする情報処理装置。 - 前記表示制御手段は、前記第2の大きさの前記ウィンドウ群が前記表示領域に収まる場合には、当該ウィンドウ群を前記第1の大きさで表示させずに、前記第2の大きさで前記表示領域に表示させる
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の情報処理装置。 - 前記ウィンドウ群の中からウィンドウを選択する選択手段を備え、
前記表示制御手段は、前記ウィンドウ群を前記第2の大きさで表示させるときに、前記選択手段によって選択されたウィンドウの全てが前記表示領域に配置される位置に当該ウィンドウ群を表示させる
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の情報処理装置。 - 前記表示制御手段は、前記ウィンドウ群をズームインさせることによって前記ウィンドウ群の大きさを前記第1の大きさから前記第2の大きさに変更する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の情報処理装置。 - 前記表示制御手段は、前記ウィンドウ群を前記表示領域に収まる前記第1の大きさで表示させる
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の情報処理装置。 - コンピュータに、
ウィンドウ群の表示が指示されると、表示手段の表示領域に当該ウィンドウ群を第1の大きさで表示させてから、当該ウィンドウ群のうちの少なくとも一部を前記第1の大きさよりも大きい第2の大きさで当該表示領域に表示させるステップと、
前記表示領域に表示されているウィンドウを指定する操作を操作手段が受け付けると、当該ウィンドウが指定されたときに実行される処理として予め決められた処理を実行するステップと
を実行させるためのプログラム。
