Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé permettant d'utiliser le dispositif pour enlever un cathéter rénal d'un patient. Le cathéter inclut un ballonnet gonflable qui est gonflé par un fluide qui est drainé depuis celui-ci via une lumière de drainage du cathéter. Le dispositif comporte une première extrémité qui est adaptée pour s'engager de manière fluidique avec la lumière de drainage du cathéter. Le dispositif inclut également un premier orifice qui se situe au niveau ou près de la première extrémité du dispositif. De plus, le dispositif inclut un second orifice qui est ouvert à l'atmosphère. Lorsque la première extrémité du dispositif est engagée de manière fluide avec la lumière de drainage du cathéter, une pression différentielle est créée entre le ballonnet gonflable et l'atmosphère. Ceci fait que le fluide s'écoule du ballonnet, via la lumière de drainage du cathéter, et à travers le premier orifice du dispositif.
