Abstract

Free exercise plate, which consists of the main basis (11), which carries the big bails-bearing ring (20), on top of which the circular plate moves (12), with pressure which comes during the exercise by the two independent pedals (13), which move on top of the small balls-bearing rings (21), the inclination of which (12,13) is controlled respectively and marginally by the big (25) and the two small (23) delimitation hoops in direct relation between them and the organ's resistance is generally adjusted by the friction pad (19), via a Bowden-cable (24). The relative free movement of the circular plate (12) and indirectly of the independent pedals (13) on the main basis (11), offers the ability of relative free though marginal movements to any possible direction and hence combination of various exercise methods, without the need of any modification of the organ, unless there is a wish to change exercise.

Description

Free exercise plate
This invention refers to interior or/and exterior active exercise machines and more specifically to integrate machines for the improvement of the cardio respiratory function, the myoskeletical strength and balance.
The interior or/and exterior active exercise machines are used widely in private gyms but also at home or at the office or according to the wish of each user.
With the usual active exercise organs the trainees improve their cardio respiratory system in a mainly stereotypical way of aerobic exercise in combination with specific ways exercise for the strength of their myoskeletical system. At times, various exercise machines have been constructed which combine in various ways the cardiovascular exercises and the exercises for myoskeletical strength. One such exercise organ is the free exercise plate which combines in a novel way various ways of aerobic exercise with balance exercises and exercises for the strength of the musculature.
The present invention refers to an innovative interior or/and exterior active exercise organ, the free exercise plate comprising the main basis, which bears a concave internal surface, the circular plate, which bears a convex base and moves over the big balls-bearing ring, which is situated peripherally, on the upper part and inside the main basis and the big delimitation hoop, which is installed peripherally to the circular plate and determines if s final inclination in relation to the main basis, as well as the two circular independent pedals, which are installed on the top and inside the circular plate and specifically they sit on top of two small balls- bearing rings, which are installed peripherally, on the upper part and internally the corresponding concave nests and move relatively free and according the choice of the trainees, as their inclination with an exertion of pressure determines the direction of the organ, as plates on top of and inside a plate and is defined by the two small delimitation hoops, which are firmed peripherally to the independent pedals. Two independent handles, which are firmed on the main basis, offer at the same time support, balance and the possibility of exercise of the trainees' arms and torso, as well as adjustment of the organ's resistance using a hinge, when this is desired.
According to the invention, what is achieved, as far as the exercise in general is concerned, is the possibility of multiple exercise methods which are offered to the trainees, without the need of any modification of parts of the organ, unless there is a wish to change exercise, a fact which presupposes a change of the direction of the motion, that offers the possibility of a relatively free motion and consequently of a direct alternation of the exercises. In parallel, the support at the independent handles is given, as well as the ability of choosing any combination of aerobic or other exercise with balance exercises and exercises of the musculature of the arms and the torso.
The free exercise plate, according to the present invention, presents many advantages against other exercise machines. The base of the circular plate is convex, and moves over the big balls- bearing ring, made of durable and anti-shock material, which is fitted peripherally, inside and on the upper part of the main basis, which bears a circular friction pad in it's hollow interior, positioned in a circular recess at the center of the main basis, the adjustment of which controls the resistance of the circular plate and of the organ in general and the two convex at their base independent pedals, which move over corresponding small balls-bearing rings, made of durable and anti-shock material, which are fitted peripherally, internally and on the upper part of the concave nests, which are against each other on the circular plate, allow the movement of the trainees' soles to any possible direction, on the premise that the latter determine with their inclination the direction of the organ and part of them or their entire surface is in contact with the independent pedals, which carry the weight of the trainees. Another version of use of the free exercise plate is the one where the independent pedals are taken off and replaced by the fixed pedals, which in fact they are two fixed covers, which are positioned at the same level with the circular plate and are secured with special journals, converting it to a balance plate-board and consequently the trainees are able to surf and to perform in various ways multiple balance and aerobic exercises, as well as exercises to strengthen the musculature.
The present invention is described below in detail and in relation to the attached drawings, in which:
Figure 1 shows a ground plan of the circular plate with the independent pedals, according to the present invention, fitted on the main basis.
Figure 2 presents a side plan and partial cut of the free exercise plate in a presumed movement where you can also see, according to the invention, the circular friction pad, the big balls-bearing ring, the two small balls-bearing rings, the convex parts of the bases of the circular plate and of the two independent pedals, the friction strips, the hinge as well as the independent handles.
In Figure 1 you can see firmed upon the big balls-bearing ring (20) of the main basis (11), the circular plate (12) with the big delimitation hoop (25) installed peripherally and the two independent pedals (13) in a circle form with the corresponding small delimitations hoops (23) firmed peripherally as well, sitting on the two small balls-bearing rings (21).
In Figure 2 the free exercise plate is in presumed motion with the convex base (15) of the circular plate (12) rising on one side and emerging from the main basis accordingly (11), given that it received a relative pressure on the opposite side and specifically at the opposite independent pedal (13). The motion of the circular plate (12), concerning it's marginal inclination, is determined by the big delimitation hoop (25), which can be found installed peripherally made of durable, anti-shock material. The convex base (16) of the independent pedal (13) emerges in part from the circular plate (12) due to the entailed movement of the latter (12), as it receives a direct, almost a vertical pressure by the weight and the muscular strength of the trainees' legs and it's movement is limited marginally by the small delimitation hoop (23), which determines the final inclination of the independent pedal (13) and is firmed peripherally. The circular friction pad (19) with the slightly hollow upper surface, made of sponge or rubber or another elaborate material of specific size and thickness, installed inside a circular recess (27) in the center of the main basis (11), the adjustment of which controls the resistance of the circular plate (12) and of the organ in general, causing a proportional friction to the convex base (15) of the circular plate (12), always accordingly to the desired resistance and the trainees' weight. The adjustment of the resistance of the friction pad (19) which communicates via a Bowden cable (24) is achieved by a hinge (22), which is installed on a practical spot on top of one by the two independent handles (17), the bases of which are situated on top and inside special recesses (18) on specific posts peripherally the main basis (11). The big balls-bearing ring (20), made of durable and anti-shock material, which is firmed peripherally, inside and on the upper part of the main basis (11), carries all-around balls or balls-bearings or other, hence permitting the relatively free movement at the circular plate (12), to any possible direction according to the inclination and the pressure exerted by the trainees over the fixed or the independent (13) pedals. The latter (13) performing a movement as plates over and inside a plate, move over two small balls-bearing rings (21), made of durable and anti-shock material, which are found firmed peripherally, inside and on the upper part of the concave nests (14), positioned across each other on the circular plate (12) and carry friction strips (26), of specific size and thickness, made of sponge, or rubber, or other elaborate material, which are installed inside oblong recesses (28), internally, around and radially to the concave nests (14), with the aim to tame the movement which comes about by the pressure received by the independent pedals (13).
