Description
ROTATING PLATFORM WITH ROTATING INDEPENDENT PEDALS
This invention concerns a gymnastic machine for active indoor or outdoor exercise and more specifically to multi-machines that improve cardio-respiratory function, musculoskeletal strength and balance, kinesthetic awareness, neuromuscular coordination, and injury prevention and rehabilitation.
These gymnastic machines for active indoor and/or outdoor exercise are widely used in private gyms but also in offices or homes whenever or wherever the user desires.
The high technology disc functions on the same principles as the free exercise plate and the bowl trainer, however the latter two operate with mechanical and electro-magnetic technology respectively, whereas the high technology disc operates with electrical and/or other technology of high specification including the above technologies while additionally has the potentiality to accept scheduled exercise commands adjusted by means of an electronic console or can be used according to the user's free choice.
The present invention concerns an innovative, new-generation gymnastic machine, for active indoor and outdoor exercise in accordance with instructions given through an interactive system, concerning the computer commands, and that is the "High Technology Disc" that includes the main basis bearing a concave internal surface, on which a circular disc bearing a curved base moves, with electrical and/or other mechanisms located on one or both related sides, providing generation and controlling the movement, balance and inclination of the circular disc, via interactive sensors connected to a processor, which respond to the free choice of the trainee and/or the scheduled options by the machine's computer software. Two circular independent pedals bear curved bases and are installed on and inside the circular disc and are specifically sat upon and inside hollow nests facing each other and moving with electrical and/or other generation and control movement, balance and inclination mechanisms, located on one or both related sides of the devices and the commands being transferred through interactive sensors to and/or from a data analyzing processor or other mechanism in accordance with the free choice of the user and/or the scheduled exercise options from the machine's computer software. The movement is defined by the trainee's choice or via scheduled exercise options on the machine's computer software, the adjustments of which are chosen by the trainee through the digital console which is located on
the main basis or elsewhere. Two handles that are located on the main basis or elsewhere and are either fixed and/or adjustable offer simultaneously support, balance and the potentiality to exercise the upper and lower limbs as well as the trunk of the body.
What this invention provides is a wide range of exercise methods available to the user through a relevant free three dimensional and/or rotating and/or elliptical and/or other movement without the need to modify the structure of the machine depending exclusively on the free choice of the trainee, expressed through changes in kinetic direction from the latter, or/and the scheduled exercise options from the machine's computer software, the adjustments of which are made through the digital console and/or elsewhere. At the same time handle support, if needed, is provided, as is the ability to perform aerobic exercises and/or exercise of the muscular system and/or other exercise of the limbs and trunk in general since they are stable and/or adjustable.
The high technology disc presents many advantages and at different levels over the free exercise plate and the bowl trainer. The base of the circular disc is convex and moves up and inside the concave surface of the main basis and bears on one side and/or both related sides electric and/or other mechanisms and/or other components providing generation and movement control, balance and inclination and/or others, and as a result controlled three dimensional and/or rotating and/or other interactive movement is produced on the circular disc depending on the reference point, either through free exercise choice by the user or through controlled exercise choice by the machine's computer software, through the digital console and/or elsewhere. The movement, balance and inclination data for the circular disc is transferred interactively, depending on the reference point, with sensors via Bluetooth and/or Infrared and/or other devices to and/or from the data analysis processor or other particles of the machine's computer software. The two curved in their base independent pedals that move on and inside respective nests that are located facing the surface of the circular disc bear on one side or both related sides mechanisms and/or other generation, movement control, balance and inclination components and/or other resulting in the production of controlled three dimensional and/or rotating and/or elliptical and/or other movement on the independent pedals interactively through either free exercise choice by the user or through controlled exercise choice by the machine's computer software, via the digital console and/or elsewhere. Data regarding movement, balance and inclination for the independent pedals is transferred interactively depending on the reference point with sensors via Bluetooth and/or
Infrared and/or other devices to and/or from the data analysis processor or other of the machine's computer software. The processors and/or other analyze the data and give the respective commands from/to the electric and/or other mechanisms of generation and control movement, balance and inclination and/or other of the machine's components always in relation one to another, regarding the free exercise choices and/or controlled commands that are sent directly by the machine's computer software from/to the electric and/or other mechanisms of generation and movement control, balance and inclination and/or other concerning the scheduled exercise options. The circular disc and/or the independent pedals can be potentially modified and/or replaced, and/or accept other components in order to be used for the exercise of other muscle groups and for other exercises. The circular disc and the independent pedals are potentially used in combination and/or autonomously on the ground with total electronic and/or electric and/or other equipment providing generation and movement control, balance and inclination and/or other, independently of the main basis. The digital console allows for starting, pausing, adjusting, and choosing the device's programs, as well as provides information and services such as Internet, electronic simulation games, TV, sound systems for music and other, located on the main basis and/or elsewhere. The machine's fixed and/or adjustable handles provide support, if it is required and at the same time and/or simultaneously can be modified and/or adjusted and/or accept additional components in order to exercise the upper and lower limbs and the trunk. The present invention is described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings in which:
Figure 1 shows a plan view of the high technology disc, with the circular disc and the independent pedals, which as indicated in the present invention are mounted on the main basis, the digital console and the handles are also apparent. Figure 2 shows a side view of the high technology disc in a hypothetical movement, showing, as indicated in the present invention, the electrical and/or other mechanisms of generation and movement control, balance and inclination, the sensors, the digital console, the computer and the handles of the machine.
Figure 1 shows the circular disc (12) that is installed on the main basis (11) of the high technology disc, and bears on its surface the two independent pedals (13), the surfaces of which are circular. The digital console (14) and the machine's handles (15) are also visible.
Figure 2 shows the high technology disc in a hypothetical movement with the curved base (16) of the circular disc (12) moving partially up and out of the main basis (11) since it receives the relevant pressure on the opposite side from the trainee, through free choice and/or through scheduled instruction of the machine's computer software (23). The independent pedal's (13) curved base (17) partially moves out of the circular disc (12) as a consequence of the resulting movement of the latter, since it receives directly, almost vertically the trainee's pressure on the opposite side, through free choice, and/or scheduled options of the machine's computer software (23). In the concave surface (24) of the main basis (11) and/or in the curved base (16) of the circular disc (12), are apparent the electrical and/or other mechanisms (19) bearing generation and control systems of the three-dimensional and rotational and/or other movement of the latter till its braking and its complete cessation, as well as the systems of control and balance, stabilizing and controlling the trainee's balance, prevent one from falling of the machine are also apparent. The same systems (20) are apparent in the two hollow nests (21) of the circular disc (12) and/or on the curved bases (17) of the two independent pedals (13), in complete accordance with the previous mechanisms, reaching for a safe three- dimensional, rotational, elliptical and/or other movement of the latter. The sensors (18) that are located in different parts of the machine transfer interactively the data for movement, balance and inclination and/or other of the circular disc (12) and that of the independent pedals (13), via Bluetooth and/or Infrared (22) or other to/from the computer's software (23) and give the corresponding commands to be carried out from the electrical and/or other mechanisms (19, 20) of generation and movement control, balance and inclination and/or other machine's components in accordance, via either free or scheduled exercise choices. The digital console (14) allows for starting, pausing, regulating, selecting machine's programs, and provides various other information and services such as access to the internet, electronic simulation games, TV, music and other. The handles (15) provide support when needed, and at the same time and/or simultaneously can be modified, and/or adjusted, and/or accept additional components in order to exercise the upper and lower limbs and the trunk of the body.
