Abstract
Bei einem Verfahren zum Ansteuern eines Kraftstoffinjektors (5) eines Einspritzsystems (1) für Brennkraftmaschinen, wobei der Kraftstoffinjektor (5) einen ansteuerbaren Piezoaktor (15) zum Schalten eines die Einspritzung mit unter Hochdruck stehendem Kraftstoff steuernden Schaltventils (11) des Kraftstoffinjektors (5) aufweist, wird im Falle einer Störung oder eines im Einspritzsystem (1) detektierten Überdruckes der Piezoaktor (15) für einen Teil- oder Vollhub des Schaltventils (11) angesteuert.

ANSTEUERUNG EINES KRAFTSTOFFINJEKTORS IM ÜBERDRUCK- ODER FEHLERFALL
Die Erfindung geht aus von einem Verfahren und einer Vorrichtung nach der Gattung des Anspruchs 1 bzw. 4.
Ein solches Ansteuerverfahren für einen Kraftstoffinjektor ist beispielsweise durch die DE 102 50 720 A1 bekannt geworden. Dieser aus DE 102 50 720 A1 bekannte Injektor umfasst eine in einem Düsenkörper verschiebbar geführte Düsennadel, die eine oder mehrere Einspritzöffnungen des Düsenkörpers für eine Einspritzung mit unter Hochdruck stehendem Kraftstoff freigibt oder verschließt, einen an eine Hochdruckseite angeschlossenen Steuerraum, über dessen Druck die Bewegung der Düsennadel gesteuert wird, ein Schaltventil, das die Verbindung des Steuerraums zu einer Niederdruckseite entweder sperrt oder öffnet, und ein piezoelektrisches Aktormodul zum Öffnen des Schaltventils gegen den anstehenden Druck und gegen eine Dichtfeder.
Bei Common Rail-Injektoren mit Piezoaktoren wird in der Regel im Einspritzsystem ein Druckregelventil verwendet, um einerseits den gewünschten Raildruck einzustellen und andererseits im Fall einer Störung den Druck im Einspritzsystem zu begrenzen. Bei heute bekannten Common Rail-Injektoren mit Piezoaktoren wird

in der Regel das Schaltventil durch den Piezoaktor gegen den Raildruck oder eine Dichtfeder geöffnet. Je nach konstruktiver Gestaltung führt ein großer Druckanstieg im Fehlerfall bei einem kraftbeaufschlagten Ventil zu einer erhöhten Abdichtung oder bei einem kraftausgeglichenen Ventil zu einem Verharren in der Dichtposition. Ein gewolltes Selbstöffnen und damit ein selbsttätiger Druckabbau können somit nicht stattfinden.
Vorteile der Erfindung
Erfindungsgemäß wird im Falle einer Störung, wie z.B. im Fall eines erkannten Fehlers oder eines Überdruckes im Einspritzsystem, das Schaltventil des Kraftstoffinjektors in einen Teil- oder Vollhub bewegt. Damit kann der ansteigende Raildruck begrenzt und über das geöffnete Schaltventil abgebaut werden. Mit dieser Sicherheitsfunktion kann ein gesteuerter Notfahrbetrieb gewährleistet und die Verfügbarkeit des zugehörigen Fahrzeugs sichergestellt werden. Eine Überlastung des Einspritzsystems und eine Gefahr von Undichtheit nach außen können vermieden werden. Um das Schaltventil in einen Teilhub zu bringen, genügt es, die Ansteuerspannung des Piezoaktors nicht wie bei einem Vollhub des Schaltventils auf 100% einzustellen, sondern auf einen geringeren Wert zwischen 30...60%. Der Hub des Schaltventils ist proportional zur Ansteuerspannung des Piezoaktors. Je nach Ausgleich der hydraulisch wirkenden Kräfte kann das Schaltventil mehr oder weniger in einen Teilhub gestellt werden.
Weitere Vorteile des erfindungsgemäßen Ansteuerverfahrens sind: - Druckbegrenzungsfunktion für Common Rail-Injektoren mit Piezoaktoren und mit kraftbeaufschlagten oder kraftausgeglichenen Schaltventilen, so dass ein Druckregel- oder -begrenzungsventil im Einspritzsystem entfallen kann. Robustheitssteigerung eines Einspritzsystems im Fehlerfall „Überdruck". Die Ansteuerung von bereits in Serie befindlichen Injektoren kann leicht so angepasst werden, dass das Schaltventil im erkannten Fehlerfall einen Volloder Teilhub ausführt.

Fig. 1 zeigt ein zum Durchführen des erfindungsgemäßen Ansteuerverfahrens geeignetes Common Rail-Einspritzsystem.
Beschreibung des Ausführungsbeispiels
Das in Fig. 1 schematisch gezeigte Common Rail-Einspritzsystem 1 umfasst eine Hochdruckpumpe 2, die aus einem Tank 3 Kraftstoff unter hohem Druck in einen Kraftstoff-Hochdruckspeicher (Common Rail) 4 fördert, mehrere mit dem Hochdruckspeicher 4 verbundene Injektoren 5, von den in Fig. 1 nur einer gezeigt ist, zum Einspritzen des Kraftstoffs in den Brennraum einer Brennkraftmaschine, ein Steuergerät 6, das die Injektoren 5 für eine Kraftstoffeinspritzung ansteuert, sowie einen an das Steuergerät 6 angeschlossenen Drucksensor 7 zum Messen des Drucks im Hochdruckspeicher 4.
Der Kraftstoffinjektor 5 umfasst:
- eine in einem ein- oder mehrteiligen Injektorkörper 6 axial verschiebbar geführte Düsennadel 7, die eine oder mehrere Einspritzöffnungen 8 des Injektorkörpers 6 für eine Einspritzung mit unter Hochdruck stehendem Kraftstoff freigibt oder verschließt,
- einen an den Hochdruckspeicher 4 über eine Hochdruckleitung 9 angeschlossenen Steuerraum 10, über dessen Druck die Bewegung der Düsennadel 7 gesteuert wird,
- ein Schaltventil 11 , dessen verschiebbar geführtes Ventilschließglied 12 die Verbindung des Steuerraums 10 zu einem an eine Leckageleitung 13 angeschlossenen Niederdruckraum 14 entweder sperrt oder öffnet,
- ein piezoelektrisches Aktormodul 15 zum Betätigen des Schaltventils 11 , und - einen hydraulischen Koppler (Übersetzer) 16, über den das Aktormodul 15 mit dem Ventilschließglied 13 des Schaltventils 11 hydraulisch bewegungsgekoppelt ist.
In der geschlossenen Ventilstellung des Schaltventils 11 , d.h. bei stromlosem Aktormodul 15, sperrt das Schaltventil 11 die Verbindung des Steuerraums 10 zum

Niederdruckraum 14, wodurch die Düsennadel 7 durch den im Steuerraum 10 herrschenden Hochdruck in ihrer die Einspritzöffnungen 8 verschließenden Stellung ist. In der geöffneten Ventilstellung des Schaltventils 11 , d.h. bei bestromtem Aktormodul 15, gibt das Schaltventil 11 die Verbindung des Steuerraums 10 zur Niederdruckseite frei, wodurch sich der Druck im Steuerraum 10 reduziert und die Düsennadel 7 öffnet.
Um z.B. im Falle eines Überdrucks im Einspritzsystem 1 den ansteigenden Druck zu begrenzen oder abzubauen, weist das Einspritzsystem 1 kein separates Druckregel- oder -begrenzungsventil auf, sondern das Steuergerät 6 ist programmiert, im Falle eines im Einspritzsystem 1 gemessenen Überdruckes oder einer vom Steuergerät 6 festgestellten sonstigen Störung den Piezoaktor 15 für einen Teil- oder Vollhub des Schaltventils 11 anzusteuern. Über das geöffnete Schaltventil 11 kann dann der im Steuerraum 10 anstehende Druck begrenzt und abgebaut werden. Im gezeigten Ausführungsbeispiel wird mit dem Drucksensor 7 der Druck im Hochdruckspeicher 4 gemessen, wodurch der im Hochdruckspeicher 4 herrschende Raildruck über das geöffnete Schaltventil 11 begrenzt und abgebaut werden kann.

Claims
1. Verfahren zum Ansteuern eines Kraftstoffinjektors (5) eines Einsphtzsystems
(I ) für Brennkraftmaschinen, wobei der Kraftstoffinjektor (5) einen ansteuerbaren Piezoaktor (15) zum Schalten eines die Einspritzung mit unter
Hochdruck stehendem Kraftstoff steuernden Schaltventils (11 ) des
Kraftstoffinjektors (5) aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass im Falle einer Störung oder eines im Einspritzsystem (1 ) detektierten Überdruckes der Piezoaktor (15) für einen Teil- oder Vollhub des Schaltventils
II 1 ) angesteuert wird.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass im Falle einer Störung oder eines im Einspritzsystem (1 ) detektierten Überdruckes der Piezoaktor (15) für einen Teilhub von ca. 30...60% des Vollhubes des
Schaltventils (11 ) angesteuert wird.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Druck in einem Hochdruckspeicher (4) des Einspritzsystems (1 ) gemessen wird und der Piezoaktor (15) im Falle eines Überdrucks im Hochdruckspeicher (4) für einen Teil- oder Vollhub des Schaltventils (11 ) angesteuert wird.
4. Einspritzsystem (1 ) zum Einspritzen von Kraftstoff in den Brennraum einer Brennkraftmaschine, mit einem Kraftstoff-Hochdruckspeicher (4), mit mindestens einem mit dem Hochdruckspeicher (4) verbundenen Injektor (5) zum Einspritzen von Kraftstoff in den Brennraum, wobei der mindestens eine Kraftstoffinjektor (5) einen ansteuerbaren Piezoaktor (15) zum Schalten eines die Einspritzung mit unter Hochdruck stehendem Kraftstoff steuernden
