Abstract
Nuance d'acier moyen carbone micro-alliée pour le forgeage à chaud, sans revenu final nécessaire, de pièces à hautes caractéristiques mécaniques, caractérisée en ce que sa composition chimique, outre le fer et les inévitables impuretés résiduelles provenant de l'élaboration de l'acier à partir de l'état liquide, répond à l'analyse suivante, donnée en pourcentages pondéraux: 0,1 % ≤ C ≤ 0,35 %; 0,35 % ≤ Mo < 0,6 %; 1,5 % ≤ Mn ≤ 2,1 %; 0,4 % ≤ Cr ≤ 1,5 %; 0,01 % ≤Nb ≤ 0,1 %; 0.01 % ≤ Cu ≤ 0.35 %; 0,05 % ≤V ≤ 0,3 %; 0,005 % ≤ Ti ≤ 0,05 %, avec Ti >3,5 N; 0,001% <N ≤ 0,015 %; et optionnellement: 0,05 % ≤ Si ≤0,8 %; 0,001% < S ≤ 0,025 %; Ni ≤ 0,6 %; B ≤ 50 ppm; Al ≤ 0,05 %; P ≤ 0,015 %. Par forgeage d'une barre laminée à chaud issue de la coulée continue, et sans revenu final obligatoire, cet acier permet d'obtenir des composants "prêts à l'emploi" aptes à travailler sous contraintes mécaniques élevées, tels que les rampes communes pour les moteurs à injection directe haute pression, offrant de 1100 à 1400 MPa et plus de résistance tout en préservant usinabilité et aptitude au soudage et ce avec un coût de fabrication spécialement maîtrisé.
