Abstract

Dans un procédé de séparation d'air par distillation cryogénique dans une installation comprenant une double colonne comprenant une colonne moyenne pression (15) et une colonne basse pression (17), la colonne basse pression contenant un vaporiseur de cuve (19), un vaporiseur intermédiaire (21 ) et un vaporiseur supérieur (23), de l'air comprimé est épuré dans une unité d'épuration, refroidi dans une ligne d'échange et envoyé à la colonne moyenne pression de la double colonne, un fluide riche en oxygène est prélevé dans la colonne basse pression, réchauffé et envoyé au client, de l'azote soutiré de la colonne moyenne pression est divisé en au moins trois parties, une première partie de l'azote est détendue dans une première turbine (47), une deuxième partie de l'azote est surpressée dans un compresseur froid (51 ) et envoyée au vaporiseur de cuve, l'azote ainsi condensé étant envoyé à au moins une colonne de la double colonne, une troisième partie de l'azote est envoyée au vaporiseur supérieur, sans étape de modification de pression en aval de la colonne dont elle est soutirée et en amont du vaporiseur supérieur, l'azote ainsi condensé étant envoyé à au moins une colonne de la double colonne et un débit gazeux est envoyé au vaporiseur intermédiaire, ce débit étant constitué par de l'air comprimé, épuré et refroidi.
