Abstract

본 발명은 탄수화물 발효액에 포함된 부티르산을 바이오연료로 전환하는 방법에 관한 것으로서, 보다 구체적으로는, 탄수화물의 발효를 통한 부티르산 생성 과정에서 발생되는 가스로부터 바이오수소를 분리하고 불용성 용매를 사용하여 발효액 중의 부티르산을 추출한 다음, 에스테르화 반응을 통하여 부티르산으로부터 부틸부티레이트를 생산하고, 생산된 부틸부티레이트의 전부 또는 일부를 가수소분해하여 부탄올을 얻는 과정을 포함하는 화학적 전환 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 바이오부탄올을 효율적이고 경제적으로 생산할 수 있으며, 기존의 바이오디젤(지방산 메틸 에스테르)에 비하여 산화안정도가 월등하여 새로운 바이오연료로서의 가치를 갖는 부틸부티레이트를 함께 생산할 수 있는 효과를 갖는다.
