Definitions
- the present invention is based on the priority claim of Japanese Patent Application No. 2008-056537 (filed on March 6, 2008), and the entire contents of the same application are incorporated herein by reference. It shall be.
- the present invention relates to a switch mechanism and an electronic device including the switch mechanism, and more particularly, to a press-type switch mechanism and an electronic device including the switch mechanism.
- the key switch structure described in Patent Document 1 has a film-like member to which a plurality of key tops are fixed, and the pusher is located on the side opposite to the surface to which the key tops of the film-like member are fixed. When the key top is pressed, the switch provided on the substrate is pressed via the presser.
- the key sheet described in Patent Document 2 is a non-heat-curable material at a position corresponding to a flexible film sheet, a plurality of key tops disposed on the surface of the film sheet, and a key top on the back surface of the film sheet. And a plurality of pressers integrally formed with the film sheet.
- FIG. 34 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of a switch mechanism in which the protrusion pressing the conductor is below the conductor (the protrusion of the protrusion is facing the switch button).
- FIG. 33 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the switch mechanism in a state in which the switch button 410 is not pressed
- FIG. 34 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the switch mechanism in a state in which the switch button 410 is pressed.

- the switch button 410 When the switch button 410 is pressed in the switch mechanism 401, the wiring substrate 405 moves in the direction of the protrusion 402 a together with the conductor 404. As a result, the central portion of the dish-shaped conductor 404 is pressed against the projection 402 a, and the conductor 404 deforms so that the central portion is raised. Then, the raised central portion is in contact with the first electrode 406 of the wiring substrate 405, whereby electrical conduction between the first electrode 406 and the second electrode 407 can be obtained.
- the switch button 410 is deformed along the shape of the protrusion 402 a.

That is, it is preferable to form the protrusions 2a and the through holes 2b on one surface (bottom surface) of the housing as a support plate.
- FIG. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing a state in which the switch button in the switch mechanism according to the first embodiment of the present invention is pressed.
- the switch button 10 When the switch button 10 is pressed by the operator, the wiring board 5 and the illumination sheet 8 and the like are pressed in the direction of the support plate 2. Along with this, the peripheral portion of the conductor 4 in contact with the second electrode 7 is displaced downward. At this time, since the central portion of the conductor 4 is supported by the projection 2a, the central portion of the conductor 4 is pressed by the projection 2a by the displacement of the peripheral portion of the conductor 4, and the concave central portion Deforms as it bulges.
- the central portion of the raised conductor 4 comes in contact with the first electrode 6 of the wiring substrate, whereby electrical conduction between the first electrode 6 and the second electrode 7 is obtained.
- the protrusion 2a promotes deformation of the central portion of the conductor 4 when the switch button 10 is pressed, and causes the repulsive force to recognize an operation feeling that the operator of the switch button 10 presses the switch button 10. Has a function to facilitate.
- the pressing of the switch button 10 is released, the wiring board 5, the illumination sheet 8, and the like are displaced upward (return to the original position).
- the pressing of the central portion 4 a of the conductor 4 by the projection 2 a of the support plate 2 is also released, and the conductor 4 returns to the original shape.
- the electrical conduction between the first electrode 6 and the central portion 4a of the conductor 4 is released.
- the through hole 2b forming area of the support plate 2 is bent and the projection 2a is displaced downward.
- This displacement has a function of giving the operator a clear sense of operation of the switch button 10 between the start of pressing of the switch button 10 and the contact of the conductor 4 with the first electrode 6, and the conductor 4 After coming into contact with the first electrode 6, it has a function of suppressing the fatigue failure of the switch button 10. Therefore, the effects of the bending of the through hole 2b formation region will be separately described before and after the conductor 4 comes in contact with the first electrode 6.
- FIG. 4 is a graph showing the relationship between the pressing amount of the switch button and the repulsive force (operation feeling of the operator).
- the switch mechanism 1 of the present invention is compared with the switch mechanism 401 without a through hole shown in FIG.
- the switch button 10, 410 of the switch mechanism 1, 401 is gradually pushed in, the disc-shaped conductor 4, 404 is pressed at its central portion by the protrusions 2a, 402a and begins to deform so as to be raised.
- the region where the through hole 2b is formed also bends under the repulsive force.
- the repulsive force of the conductor 4, 404 eventually reaches its maximum value (point P1). After that, the repulsive force of the conductor 4, 404 decreases as it is pushed. Along with this, in the switch mechanism 1 of the present invention, the bent through hole 2b formation region also starts to be restored.
- the switch button 10, 410 is further depressed, the central portion of the conductor 4, 404 contacts the first electrode 6, 406, and the conductor 4, 404 causes the first electrode 6, 406 and the second electrode 7, 407 Electrical conduction is obtained (point P2). Thereafter, since the conductor 4, 404 can not be deformed, the repulsive force starts to increase again due to the rigidity of the support plate 2, 402 and so on.
- the operator recognizes the feeling of operation of the switch button 10, 410 by the change of the repulsive force from the point P1 to the point P2.
- the area where the through hole 2b is formed is also bent along with the increase in the repulsive force of the conductor 4 from the start of pressing to the maximum repulsive force position (point P1). Displace.
- the position of the maximum repulsive force (point P1) is exceeded, the bending of the through hole 2b formation area is restored along with the decrease in the repulsive force of the conductor 4, and the protrusion 2a also tries to return to the original position.
- the switch mechanism 1 of the present invention has a greater change in the repulsive force relative to the change in the amount of depression as compared with the switch mechanism 401 without the through hole shown in FIG. Becomes steeper). Due to the change in the repulsive force, the operator of the switch mechanism 1 according to the present invention can obtain a clearer feeling of operation than the operation of the switch mechanism 401 shown in FIG. 33 even if the movable stroke of the conductor 4 is short. it can.
- the switch button 410 in the switch mechanism 401 without a through hole as shown in FIG. 33 since the projection 402a is not displaced downward, the chevron angle along the projection 402a of the switch button 410 is greater than that of the switch mechanism of the present invention. It becomes smaller. That is, the stress generated at the central portion of the switch button 410 is increased. Therefore, when the switch button 410 is repeatedly pressed, the switch button 410 in the switch mechanism 401 shown in FIG. 33 is more easily fatigue-destructed than the switch button 10 in the switch mechanism 1 of the present invention.

- the switch mechanism having no through hole generates a crack after 2,000 times of tapping, but the switch mechanism according to the present invention having the through hole.
- no crack was found in the switch button even after repeated keying of 20,000 times or more. Therefore, it was confirmed that the switch mechanism according to the present invention has an approximately 10 times longer life of the switch button than the switch mechanism having no through hole.
- the life of the switch button can be extended by forming the through hole and displacing the protrusion downward when the switch button is pressed.
- a mobile phone has been described as an example of an electronic device to which the switch mechanism of the present invention is applied.
- an electronic device to which the switch mechanism of the present invention can be applied is not limited to the mobile phone.
- the present invention can be applied to various electronic devices such as PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants / Personal Data Assistants), portable audio devices, various remote controllers, and the like.
