Abstract

 本発明の対向電極駆動回路は、対向電極に印加する電圧を生成するアンプ(3)と、前記対向電極に印加する電圧波形における立上り時および立下り時に対向電極に印加する電圧と2つの閾値電圧との大小を検出する電圧検出部(1)と、対向電極に印加する電圧が大きい方の第1閾値電圧よりも大きい場合にアンプ(3)の能力を下げ、かつ、対向電極に印加する電圧が小さい方の第2閾値電圧よりも小さい場合にアンプ(3)の能力を下げるクロック生成部(2)と、を備えている。これにより、消費電力を抑えつつ、液晶表示装置の音鳴りを無くした対向電極駆動回路を提供する。
