Abstract

本発明による画質評価システムは画像の画質を評価する画質評価システムであって、第1の画像の画像フレームを表現する所定のデータに対して、1データにつき該データを表現するために必要なビット数よりも少ないビット数の所定のビットを抽出するビット抽出手段と、ビット抽出手段によって抽出されたビット列で表現される値と、第2の画像において該ビット列の抽出対象になったデータに相当するデータの値とに基づいて、第1の画像と第2の画像の差を推定することにより、第1の画像または第2の画像の画質を評価する画質評価手段とを備えたことを特徴とする画質評価システムである。
