Abstract

 燃料電池システムにおいて、燃料電池ケース内の下部スペースを有効利用することで、ケースの高さ寸法をできるだけ抑えつつケース内に希釈器を収納することを可能にする。アノード側に供給されるガスとカソード側に供給されるガスとの電気化学反応により発電する燃料電池スタック12と、燃料電池スタック12から排出されたアノードオフガスをカソードオフガスで希釈して排気する希釈器18と、燃料電池スタック12および希釈器18を内部に収容する燃料電池ケース10とを備えた燃料電池システム8であって、希釈器18の排気方向下流側に延伸する排気管34が通る燃料電池ケース10の側面開口部13aが重力方向に関して希釈器18の内面最下部38よりも上側に配置されている。
