Abstract

本発明は、試料に対して電気化学的測定を行うためのバイオセンサ（１）であって、絶縁性材料からなる基板（２）と、基板（２）上に形成された作用極（３Ｂ）及び対極（３Ａ）を含む電極系（３）と、電極系（３）の少なくとも一部を被覆するように基板（２）上に固定されたカバー部材（４）と、基板（２）とカバー部材（４）との間に設けられ、カバー部材（４）に被覆された電極系（３）の一部を外部と連通させる試料流路（８）と、試料流路（８）の内面の少なくとも一部に、電極系（３）側の第１端部（８Ａ）から反対側の第２端部にわたって設けられた親水部と、基板（２）上の第２端部に隣接する部位又は試料流路（８）の内面に設けられ、試料の電極系（３）への流れを一旦停止させる疎水部（１２）とを備える。本発明のバイオセンサによれば、採取した試料を測定部位に移動させるタイミングを簡便に制御することが可能である。
