Abstract
主にリーン条件で燃焼する内燃機関の排気ガスに含まれる窒素酸化物を低温始動時においても高効率で浄化することができる排気浄化技術を提供する 内燃機関1から排出される排気ガスの雰囲気を酸化性/還元性と周期的に変化させ含まれる窒素酸化物を除去する排気浄化装置9において、前記排気ガスを大気側に導く排気流路11に水素及び一酸化炭素が含まれる改質ガスを導入する改質手段18と、前記水素を消費して還元する酸化銀を少なくとも含み前記窒素酸化物を吸着し温度上昇とともに前記吸着した窒素酸化物を脱離する吸着手段30と、前記一酸化炭素を消費して前記窒素酸化物を還元させ前記排気ガスを浄化する浄化手段17とを、備える。
