Abstract
細胞培養により生体組織を人工的に形成可能にする生体組織形成維持装置10は、拍動ポンプ12と、拍動ポンプ12から吐出した細胞培養液が拍動ポンプ12に戻るように回路構成された循環路13と、循環路13の途中に設けられた細胞培養部14A及びガス交換部14Bとを備えている。細胞培養部14Aは、循環路13を流れる細胞培養液が細胞保持体Hの内部を通って循環路13に戻る第1の流路と、循環路13を流れる細胞培養液が細胞保持体Hの外側を通って循環路13に戻る第2の流路とが形成されるように細胞保持体Hを保持し、これら流路を通る各細胞培養液間で圧力差を発生させる。ガス交換部14Bは、循環路13内を循環する細胞培養液に酸素及び二酸化炭素を含む混合ガスを供給し、細胞培養液のpHを所定値に調整する。
