Abstract

 耐熱性および耐熱衝撃性等に優れ、熱分解がしにくく、熱処理を行なっても機械的特性が安定しているハニカム構造体およびこれを用いた浄化装置が望まれている。本発明のハニカム構造体は、MgTi2O5-Al2TiO5の結晶を有するセラミックス体をハニカム構造としたことを特徴とする。また、本発明の浄化装置は、ハニカム構造体と、ハニカム構造体を収容し、流入口および流出口を有するケースと、を備えてなり、ケースの流入口から入った流体を、ハニカム構造体を通過させて、ケースの流出口から出すように構成したことを特徴とする。
