Abstract

　光源にバイアス電流を供給しつつ、消費電力を低減することを可能とした光走査装置、光走査型画像表示装置及び網膜走査型画像表示装置を提供する。 　供給される電流に応じて所定の強度の光を出射する光源と、光源から出射された光を所定方向に走査可能な光走査部と、画像信号に応じた電流を順次光源に供給する光源駆動部とを備え、この光源駆動部から光源にバイアス電流を供給しておくことにより光源の応答性を高めた光走査装置において、光源駆動部は、画像表示を行わない無効走査期間のうち、少なくとも所定期間は光源への前記バイアス電流の供給を停止又は低減することとした。
