Abstract

情報記録装置(1)は、記録用レーザ光(L)を情報記録媒体に照射し、情報を情報記録媒体(100)に記録する記録手段(102)と、段階的に光量を調整させた記録用レーザ光を用いて前記情報記録媒体に較正用データを記録し、記録用レーザ光の最適な光量を求める制御手段(103)と、前記較正用データの記録に際して、記録と同時に戻り光を検出する検出手段(107)とを備え、前記戻り光量が所定の範囲を超えた場合に較正用データの記録を終了し、再生信号に含まれるジッタ量から記録用レーザ光の最適のパワーを決定する。
