Abstract

 ピアサプラグの寿命を長く保たせると共に、穿孔圧延中の丸ビレットのスリップまたは穿孔圧延失敗の発生を防止することが可能なピアサプラグ及び穿孔圧延方法を提供する。  本発明に係るピアサプラグ3は、下記の式(1)で定義される鈍頭係数が28以上35以下に設定されていることを特徴とする。  鈍頭係数=(RSP/B't)/(RLP/L1)×1000 ・・・(1)  ここで、上記式(1)において、RSPはピアサプラグの先端部の曲率半径を、B'tはピアサプラグを用いて穿孔圧延する丸ビレットの外径を、RLPはピアサプラグの圧延部の曲率半径を、L1はピアサプラグの圧延部の長さを意味し、式(1)に入力されるRSP、B't、RLP及びL1の数値は全て同じ単位である。
