Abstract
正負極層と集電体との密着性を向上させ電池寿命を延ばすことができるバイポーラ電池を提供する。バイポーラ電池30は、3個のバイポーラ極板10を備えている。最上位側には正極層3を有する正極板13が配置され、最下位側には負極層4を有する負極板14が配置されている。バイポーラ極板10は、多孔質アルミナに鉛が溶融含浸されて形成された集電体1の一面側に正極層3を有し他面側に負極層4を有している。正極板13、負極板14および各バイポーラ極板10は、正極層3と負極層4とが対向するようにリテーナ5を介して配置されている。バイポーラ極板10は、正極層3、負極層4と集電体1との間に、錫を含む鉛合金粉末を圧延した粉末圧延シート2がそれぞれ配されている。粉末圧延シート2では鉛合金粉末が略均一に分散し変形しにくくなる。
