Abstract

 光サージを抑圧し、光伝送品質の向上を図る。  断検出部(11a)は、電気信号の断を検出した場合には断検出信号を出力し、断の復旧を検出した場合には断検出信号の出力を停止する。ダミー信号生成部(11b)は、断検出時に、ダミー信号を生成する。電気/光変換部(12)は、電気信号処理部(11)からの出力の電気/光変換を行って、光信号を出力する。ダミー信号生成部(11b)は、断発生時の無入力期間の間、ダミー信号を出力し、光増幅媒体(13a)には、電気/光変換された光ダミー信号が挿入される。励起光発出制御部(13b)は、断検出信号の受信を認識した場合は、励起光のパワーを低減して、光ダミー信号の出力光電力を低下させ、断検出信号の未受信を認識した場合は、励起光のパワーを増加して、断が生じる前の光増幅媒体(13a)で増幅されていた光信号の出力光電力に戻すように、励起光の発出制御を行う。
